Night falls, stars tear through the sky, blinking eerily.

Pale moonlight spills onto the winding, rugged mountain path.

Sparse figures tread heavily.

Their faces are gaunt, clothes cheap, exuding a sense of lancholy and illness, like a group of ghosts.

Like a group of pale pilgrims.

Finally, they reached their destination.

It was a secluded dense forest on Little Black Mountain.

They sighed in relief, collapsing on the ground.

They ca from all directions; male and female, old and young. What they shared were faces etched with numbness after tornt.

In deep despair, there lay an inexplicable thread of anticipation.

They hoped the man they would et today wasn’t deceiving them.

They hoped that tonight here, they could rid themselves of the unknown suffering and guilt imposed upon them.

Liu Yuanyuan wiped her nosebleed, carefully placing her sister on the ground, and removed her clothes to cover her.

Her face was unnaturally flushed.

The intense exertion today brought her yet closer to death.

The sickly crowd around her terrified her.

She held her sister tightly, carefully surveying the surroundings and noticing sothing unusual.

The branches around were almost full of crows.

Those crows were eerily quiet, making no sound, watching them intently.

On the center boulder, a cat humanly hugged its arms against a small rock.

Under the boulder lay a dog, watching them with a cryptic smile.

Strange, abnormal.

Liu Yuanyuan feared more, patting her sleeping sister, whispering:

"Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, we’re not afraid."

As a man arrived, the crows shrieked loudly.

All the people fearfully looked around, their gaze fixed on the man.

They had all seen that man before.

Dressed in a black suit, wrapped in bandages.

Du Yangming scanned these people with cold eyes:

"Which god do you worship?!"

The opening was straightforward and blunt.

Today, at everyone’s ho, there were various ways explaining tonight’s situation.

Those who worship Death God, who trekked to Little Black Mountain, could receive Death God’s protection.

Voices rose intermittently among the crowd.

"Death God?"

"Worship Death God."

"Please have rcy, Death God!"

Du Yangming continued:

"After tonight, you will no longer be ordinary humans.

You will step into a new world, a new life.

You will lose your freedom, undertake unimaginable tasks.

This is the cost of being free from illness!"

There was light in their eyes.

Being free from illness was their greatest wish.

Freedom?

It didn’t matter; they weren’t free anyway, weren’t they?

Du Yangming finished, his crimson eyes swept around, looking at Suzu who transford into a black cat.

Suzu nodded.

The Black Witch could see through hearts, no one here lied.

Du Yangming gazed at the sky, hands clasped, devoutly:

"Then, welco the miracle!"

His body began to change.

Huge bat wings tore through his suit, unfurling in the night.

The Black Dog’s form gradually grew, the terrifying image of the Three-headed Hellhound left people breathless.

A crow flew to the sky, a massive Demon Snake coiled around it.

The flock of crows followed, screeching competitively.

Suzu shook her head.

This Little Crow sure knows how to please Li Yang, looking pretty cool.

The bizarre phenona made people instinctively kneel.

Amid fear, hope overflowed.

In the void, a sigh echoed.

"I absolve you from death."

A chilling yet authoritative hoarse voice, seeming pitiful, seeming helpless.

The voice was soft, yet it reached everyone’s ears.

No one dared to raise their heads, their lowered eyes filled with shock!

A strong thought surged in their minds.

God!

The speaker was a god!

A true, worldly god!

As the words fell, an odd power descended.

The faces of those present shifted from shock to awe, from awe to joy, and from joy to utter frenzy!

They no longer felt pain; strength filled their bodies.

The long-lost health made them excitedly lift their heads, eager to catch a glimpse of the god who redeed them.

But they didn’t see the figure of a god.

Perhaps, the god was omnipresent in essence.

"Thank my Lord Death God!"

Soone knelt on the ground, fiercely smashing his head against it, shouting hoarsely, tears streaming, nose running.

He was a leukemia patient.

dicine drained his savings, drained his house, but to no avail.

He could only endure the solitary tornt at ho, waiting for dark death.

He wanted to live.

"Thank my Lord Death God!"

"Willing to give everything for my Lord Death God!"

More and more people howled mournfully.

These desperate souls regained hope in just one day.

"Sister, are you well? Are you well?"

Liu Yuanyuan covered her mouth, crying out in excitent.

Liu ngng, eyes filled with tears, hugged her sister:

"Sister, I will protect you from now on; no one can bully you."

Liu ngng then knelt on the ground, heavily bowing to the sky’s full moon.

Legend had it, the moon in the sky is Hell’s reflection, and Death God watches the Mortal World from atop the moon.

As she raised her head again, Liu ngng’s face showed a sickly fanaticism.

All gods are Pseudo-Gods; only Death God is the one and only!

Death God redeed the sisters, so they should dedicate life and soul altogether.

Du Yangming pointed at a bundle on the ground:

"Put on the clothes inside; henceforth you shall be Cleaners in the Mortal World for Death God."

The people looked at Du Yangming with respectful eyes, rushing to fetch the clothes.

The clothes inside were white raincoats.

Originally, there was an intent to make white robes, but he was tight on ti and heavy on tasks, lacking ti to order.

White raincoats were good too, sturdier and more durable than ordinary robes.

Suzu jumped off the boulder, transford into human form, heading into the forest, spotted the figure moving towards the mountain base, and ran over.

"Li Yang, why don’t you reveal your Death God Body? Wouldn’t that be impressive?"

Li Yang responded leisurely:

"If a god showed true form, it wouldn’t be so awe-inspiring."

Suzu pouted:

"Your Death God Body is so terrifying, that imposing aura, so frightening."

Li Yang raised an eyebrow:

"But why do I feel you’re not afraid of at all."

Suzu smiled cheekily:

"Because you are Li Yang."

Li Yang stopped talking, Suzu followed behind, hopping rrily.

...

South Sea, inside a KTV.

The DJ’s energetic music was loud, many beauties dressed skimpily.

Su Yutang’s brother—Su Guangming, drinking with Kuroki Mitsusawa, their faces flushed.

Su Guangming, with a heavy tongue, said:

"Mr. Kuroki, is there really no issue this ti?"

Kuroki Mitsusawa chuckled:

"As long as your information is accurate, Su Yutang won’t survive tonight."

Su Guangming laughed heartily:

"Don’t worry, it’s accurate!

My sister doesn’t know what illness struck her, moving to the South Suburb Manor.

She’s definitely there tonight!"

Kuroki Mitsusawa nodded:

"That’s good, my n will make it so seamlessly hidden."

Su Guangming hesitated, said:

"But, Mr. Kuroki, last ti failed.

Is your assassin incompetent, how co they couldn’t even kill my sister?"

Kuroki Mitsusawa’s face turned unpleasant, said:

"Last ti I underestimated.

You can’t bla ; you didn’t ntion your sister is a martial arts master.

This ti I dispatched four Lower-level Ninjas and one Middle-level Ninja; she will definitely be killed!"
