Li Yang held a cigarette, his deep eyes cutting through the swirling smoke, sizing up Cao Yi.

The rain-soaked security uniform, the adorable gaze, but most importantly... the intense Desire Power.

Cao Yi’s Desire Power was the strongest Li Yang had ever seen, without exception.

Li Yang withdrew his gaze:

"Cultivation Immortality?

re self-deception for mortals.

But I have the power you desire."

He shifted his attention back to the book:

"But what can you offer in return?"

Cao Yi leaned closer to Li Yang, supporting himself on the table, speaking softly:

"As long as I gain Extraordinary Power, even just a tiny bit, I’m willing to give up everything I have!"

Li Yang didn’t even lift his head:

"You have nothing I’m interested in."

Cao Yi was taken aback.

The director of the Public Security Bureau has nothing of interest to Li Yang?

He rembered that night, the woman who commanded the Flood Dragon.

Causing such a disturbance at night without any exposure the next day on that street indicated that this boss had imnse power in the South Sea.

Cao Yi thought for a long ti, then earnestly said:

"If I gain Extraordinary Power, I’ll climb higher, and eventually, I’ll have sothing you want."

Li Yang smirked:

"You really know how to plan."

Black runes appeared in his eyes:

"Makes curious what your desire is?

To what extent would you go for this desire?

Tell your desire, and I can give you a bit of what you want."

Cao Yi watched the change in Li Yang’s eyes, secretly surprised, but showed no sign of it.

Such was the composure of a public security director.

His gaze remained sharp:

"I want power, the highest authority!"

Li Yang’s eyes showed black runes.

The Desire Power within Cao Yi surged into the runes in Li Yang’s eyes.

In the bar counter, the Desire Potion, as deep as an abyss, ford slowly in the Desire Magic Jar.

Cao Yi watched as Li Yang took out a paper cup from the bar.

Amazingly, black water slowly appeared in the cup for so reason.

Li Yang pushed the paper cup filled with Desire Potion towards Cao Yi:

"This is what you want, drink it, and you’ll gain Extraordinary Power."

This was just part of the Desire Potion; Li Yang didn’t take out the entire Desire Potion from the Desire Magic Jar.

Cao Yi gazed intently at the potion:

"You’re just giving it to like that?

Free things are the most expensive because they covertly indicate their cost.

Tell , what price do I need to pay?"

Li Yang slightly pushed the potion towards Cao Yi:

"Since you said it has a hidden price, you should know it. Do you still dare to drink it?"

Cao Yi grinned:

"If you’re not afraid of reneging, what do I have to fear?"

Cao Yi picked up the potion and drank it in one gulp.

A profound ssage surged into Cao Yi’s mind.

[Soul Hooker]

[An envoy who seizes souls for the Death God, possessing the power to judge souls.]

[The Soul Hooker possesses full talent, and upon reaching Tier Nine, can gain the power of a Demigod.]

[Tier One Spiritual Power]

[Awakened Talent: Heart Scale]

[Heart Scale:...]

The blacks of Cao Yi’s pupils expanded, turning his entire whites to ink black.

"Is this the power of the Extraordinary? My power far exceeds that of those Extraordinary criminals!"

He looked at Li Yang in a daze, a slight twitch at the corner of his eye.

To others, Li Yang was still the sa person reading a book behind the bar.

But in Cao Yi’s eyes, Li Yang exuded an overwhelming might, a presence both godlike and demonic.

Cao Yi tried to look closer, his eyes unconsciously emitting Spiritual Power.

He saw clearly, that was not human!

Cao Yi’s face showed shock, breathing heavily, he slowly backed away.

Was this... the true identity of the pharmacy owner?!

Li Yang gazed at Cao Yi with curiosity:

"Truly remarkable power, interesting."

He fetched another paper cup, under the pull of the Power of Death, the remaining Desire Potion of the Soul Hooker appeared in the cup.

Li Yang’s lips curled into a slight smile:

"Let’s set aside those secret transactions you ntioned, and make another deal with you."

Cao Yi stared at that cup of Desire Potion, seemingly gazing into an abyss, unable to hide the greed in his eyes.

His throat moved:

"What do you need to do?"

Li Yang said:

"Join the Security Administration."

...

Several days later, many strange people arrived in the South Sea.

They secretly carried swords, talismans, and so other strange items.

These people were all secretly recorded by the Public Security Bureau.

The ruins near the South Sea opened, attracting a large number of Extraordinary beings, and the Public Security Bureau took the opportunity to verify their identities and keep records.

The South Sea Public Security Bureau’s traffic and mariti security managent beca more stringent.

Patrol cars could be seen on the roads almost every day.

What was suspicious was that so many strange people flooded into the South Sea, yet its order remained good, without a hint of chaos due to their arrival.

The higher-ups believed it was due to the rit of the Public Security Bureau Commissioner, Cao Yi.

In fact, for the South Sea, these Extraordinary beings were nothing but a group of passing mayflies.

The Demon Club stood above all the Extraordinary beings.

The reason the Demon Club was so restrained now was only because they were secretly amassing power and disdained to engage in mortal conflicts.

...

That day, the surface of the Great Western Sea beca restless.

After the tsunamis and typhoons subsided, many ships appeared on the sea.

There were fishing boats, yachts, day rental boats, and official security boats.

Security boats set up checkpoints at various bays to inspect passing ships.

So loose cultivators disguised themselves as fishern, pretending that they were simply fishing.

An administrator on the security boat snapped his fingers, and a wisp of fla appeared, leaving the loose cultivators dumbfounded.

It was then that the casual cultivators realized that the officials had long established an Extraordinary institution.

All loose cultivators beca obedient, lining up honestly for inspection and registration.

Fortunately, the officials did not intend to monopolize the ruins and allowed loose cultivators to enter the Mysterious Sea Region.

Helicopters flew overhead, and so loose cultivators believed those were the Extraordinary heading to the Mysterious Sea Region.

They discontentedly asked:

"Why aren’t those people required to undergo inspections? Is it because they have money?"

The official response was that those were sects already registered.

The loose cultivators realized that quite a few Extraordinaries had already established sects!

As the loose cultivators completed the inspection and entered the Mysterious Sea Region, they encountered one astonishing event after another.

There was a young Daoist wrapped in lightning, flying on a sword.

There was a young man in traditional Chinese attire walking through the air, holding an oil paper umbrella.

The most jaw-dropping sight was a little monkey riding a shark, surfing the waves!

These feats made the loose cultivators envious, realizing just how vast the world truly was.

They were not the destined protagonists.

They were rely one small pawn among many lucky ones.

Just like the ten thousand celestial soldiers besieging the monkey.

As they neared an island, the sea beca strange.

One by one, small whirlpools ford on the calm sea surface.

Suddenly, a horrifying tentacle erged from the sea, dragging a fishing boat into the depths.

The loose cultivator didn’t even have ti to let out a scream before disappearing from everyone’s sight.

What I want to express is, when I get better, this book will get better and better.

In the anti, can I ask everyone to comnt on this Chapter, talk about what the author did wrong with this book?

The author will actively absorb opinions, reflect, and self-examine.

I hold high standards for what I write, I don’t allow myself to write crap for everyone to see.

This book actually has a foreshadowing every ten Chapters or so, which will be revealed at the end.

I also believe everyone enjoys the story of the Desire Magic Jar.
