Eleanor Sterling was still worried about Clara Thornton, so she went out with Thomas Quincy.

Unexpectedly, halfway out, she saw Thomas instruct soone to send Nancy Nash back, which piqued her curiosity about what Thomas was up to, so she pulled Alaric Faulkner along to see.

Alaric Faulkner chuckled, obediently following along.

As long as Eleanor Sterling wasn’t doing anything dangerous, he wasn’t worried about anything.

Eleanor saw Thomas Quincy, looking anxious, arrive at the entrance of the secret chamber, and then sohow find a way to slip inside.

Watching as the door of the secret chamber closed once more, Eleanor shook her head and sighed, "It seems that even though Thomas is under a spell, he doesn’t have no feelings for Clara."

Alaric pulled her back, saying, "Are you relieved now? Perhaps even if the spell isn’t broken, over ti they might develop feelings for each other."

Eleanor nodded, "The love spell can control the heart, but it cannot suppress emotions."

After pondering for a mont, she asked, "Are the traps inside the secret chamber very dangerous?"

"Thomas is the Family Head of the Quincy Family; he naturally knows how to disarm them in his own secret chamber. It might be dangerous for Clara alone, but with Thomas going in to rescue her, there won’t be any danger."

Hearing Alaric’s analysis, Eleanor finally felt relieved. As long as Thomas was there, she didn’t need to worry too much.

...

Inside the secret chamber.

Clara Thornton was cautiously feeling her way forward, only to hear a series of footsteps from behind.

She turned around in confusion and saw three unfamiliar n following her inside. She frowned and asked, "Who are you? How did you get in? Why are you following ?"

She had just walked in; Thomas shouldn’t have noticed so quickly and sent people to capture her, right?

The three n had been ordered by Nancy Nash to deal with Clara Thornton. Hearing Clara’s question, they sneered coldly.

"Save your breath. If you don’t want to die, obediently do as you’re told."

After saying this, their eyes filled with lust as they pounced on her together.

Clara’s face turned pale with shock, and she imdiately ran backward. The light in the secret chamber was dim, and she didn’t know what she stepped on, but she fell to the ground.

Seeing this, the n imdiately surrounded her, but before they could do anything, there was a series of swift whooshing sounds, followed by so dull thuds, and the n stopped moving.

They had been pierced by several sharp arrows.

Seeing this, Clara was so frightened her face turned white. There were traps here!

If she hadn’t fallen just now, she would have been shot by the arrows as well. Clara’s whole body went rigid, and she dared not move recklessly.

The most terrifying thing was that she heard footsteps again.

Could soone else be coming to deal with her?

Terrified, Clara shut her eyes tight and scread in fear, "Don’t co any closer..."

Thomas Quincy approached and saw the few n who had already been dealt with; seeing Clara on the ground, seemingly unhard, he breathed a sigh of relief.

It seed the situation wasn’t as bad as he had imagined.

He stepped forward and pulled Clara up, but she suddenly reached out and slapped him hard.

Thomas’s face darkened as he gritted his teeth and said, "You crazy woman, take a good look at who I am!"

Clara cautiously opened her eyes, realizing that it was indeed Thomas in front of her. She murmured, "Oh my god, am I hallucinating? I actually see Thomas."

Hearing her words, Thomas pulled her closer by the back of her head and kissed her deeply.

After a mont, he asked, "Still a hallucination?"

Clara nodded, feeling even dizzier.
