[OP: ]

-Splash!

"Wake up, bastard. Don’t pretend to be unconscious."

They had captured the archmage, finished their mission in that place, and after their King and Queen finished retreating the other two individuals from their private cells, they had regrouped above the surface.

Their mission was almost complete now that they had what they had entered that place for, but since the retrieval of the key was still left, they had regrouped into a special facility that they had prepared over the course of the previous week.

"Ummm... fuck you all..."

He was in a spacious room lit by the light of the afternoon sun with nothing in it.

People wearing masks and weird clothings were surrounding him... he could tell what was going on just from this much, and the bitter smile on his face was all the others needed to know about his current ntal state.

"Alright, now that you aren’t acting anymore, let’s get straight to the point."

He was an archmage and soone that followed only those who can afford his services.

And he could only be employed with a proper offer for three short years by any power in this world, that much everyone knew about this bastard.

But, only those who can afford his services knew the fact that he was self-bound by an Oath of origin when going under his employer for any kind of work.

He had no choice but to follow the oath and do as per the employer’s request under the conditions he set himself.

"Wait... what are you doing? Aren’t you going to ask to give you the key anymore?"

"You can’t give it to us, we know that already. The oath doesn’t allow for that."

"...how do you know that?!"

The Oath was designed to work in his favour only, but there were certain things that even he could not avoid. One of them, sadly, was the condition to only work under one employer at a ti.

And the other condition that was tying his legs right now, was the power of ’one last request’ where the employer could ask for one thing from him that he had to follow with the best of his abilities if they weren’t harming him in any manner.

Protecting the key on him and not hand it over to the thieves if they infiltrate the facility until authorities can move it to so safer place was the request the Sultan had made, and they already knew sothing like that would be the case.

That’s why Friday never intended to fight him seriously.

His work was to install so certain ideas in his mind and then let their captain take over and deal with the key issue. And he did that well... so now it was ti for this archmage to break his oath.

"Alright, mister. Stay still or it will hurt."

The Apothecary had already drugged him when they brought him here, and their technician had already stripped him naked of all his artifacts and possessions.

The only thing left on him was the storage skill, or the special storage space that only he could access where his most prised possessions were stored according to their knowledge.

He couldn’t access that space to take out the key even if he wanted to, so they were going to force him to do it with other ans.

And, their Queen, the Bugbreeder’s special babies were going to be a great help to her this ti.

"What... no! What the hell is that thing?!"

She was standing before him with her hand placed on her head.

There was a strange looking worm in her hand, and he knew how dangerous it was just by the looks of that sinister looking, red-black thing with yellow stripes all over its body.

The others present here could also tell it was an iffy creature that one should always stay away from, however, after being around her for more than half a year, they had learned how they should never comnt on her way of doing things or her bugs.

The outco of that kind of thing is never bloodless.

"Shuuu. Just stay still, mister."

The drugs that were injected in him would calm his nervous system after a minute, and the worm resembling a mix of earthworm and a snake would do the rest of the work.

-Ktktktkt.

She placed the creature on his head, and as soon as the drugs kicked in and his eyes lost all light, she instructed the worm.

-Oooooong.

And, right after her instructions, the bug lted away inside the head of the archmage.

"It will take three minutes for her to root his mind." She inford to their captain with a happy smile present on her face under that mask.

"Alright then, No.4. Please get ready."

The Bishop was the perfect person for what they needed so after receiving the instructions, he nodded at their captain calmly and waited for the monts to pass...

’With this, we will have a clear way to the relic storage.’

While the captain Ace and the other numbers of Clubs were doing this, their Joker was watching everything from the side, with so other things going on in his mind.

’He is strong.’

Friday knew he would have died if he really had to fight soone or sothing on that bastard’s level.

And, he had only survived thanks to that bastard being extrely careless from the start.

He not only underestimated Friday, he also did not think much of the other mbers of his house.

The sealing artifact was the most unforseen factor from his side, and he was in that condition only because of all these specific factors.

’If even one of the things had been a little different from how they were, he would have died the mont he stepped in that special room.’

The magic an archmage of his calibre could cast could quite possibly destroy an entire city in the blink of an eye, and if they used all they had, they could do an irreversible damage to this very world.

They were unfathomable powers, he was one of those unfathomable powers, but he underestimated his opponents and overestimated his own abilities, leading to his fall, and the dreadful situation he was in right now.

"Alright, it’s done."

Blood started coming out of his closed off eyes, his nose, and ears as the queen smirked happily.

Her rare child was finally eating its favourite al after a long ti, so as its mother, she couldn’t possibly hide her happiness.

"Then, I will take up from here."

There was an oath binding him from doing what they were asking and only he was capable of what they were asking of him.

That’s why, with the help of the Apothecary’s drugs, they first shit his complete body down and then, using the unique worm of the Queen, they destroyed ntal barriers from Skills and his Physical-ntal body.

This gave them a direct access to his mind, and with the special abilities of their No.4, the Bishop of the Temple, they hacked into this mind of this absolute.

It was a complicated process that no one in this world including them could have thought of as a possibility, but the Hands were different.

Those two otherworldly beings knew things beyond any of their wildest dreams, so learning from them had always been a precious experience for them which has been useful in many places.

"Take out the key that your employer wanted you to protect, child."

Like this one where even an absolute archmage was being manipulated by re mortals.

"Yes..."

-Ooooooong!

He opened up his spatial storage, a unique space that was connected by his will and worked quite differently from the normal storage system used in the skills or abilities.

It wasn’t sothing anyone other than him could access without his permission, sothing similar to a higher being’s pocket space.

’Good. Another mission successfully accomplished-’

"Here. The ’key’ that I was asked to protect."

What he took out of his spatial storage was not a simple looking key like the one they got from western continent, nor was it anything like the disc they got from the north, or the chopsticks that they got from the east.

The thing he had taken out was a red tallic box shining with a greenish color.

It wasn’t anything that resembled a ’key’ in any way but the people around him thought that just like the other keys, this one would be unique as well-

"No..."

"That’s not..."

But, only Friday and his captain were able to figure out that this shining box of red and green was not the thing they had been looking for.

{ "Everyone! Disperse!" }

-Oooooooooooong!

[ "You all would be lucky to survive this one." ]

An unknown voice rang out from the red box, the body of the archmage was covered in a thin layer of golden light, and the very next mont, a burst of bright light exploded from the red box...

-Oooooooooooooooong...!

-Zaaaaaaaaaaaaa...!

-Skeeeeeeeeee!

In only a fraction of a second, the red light covered the entire area around their safe house, a circle of six hundred tres radius, and even before one’s eyes could blink, the light materialized as a magic circle, and a pillar of light erupted from it...

Every living thing this light touched stopped in its place, which lasted for a few seconds, and right after that, the light that had erupted from the magic circle, the green light condensed into a single point—the tallic box-and after a few seconds, it exploded as well.

-Ooooooooooooooooooooong!

Every living thing this green light touched, be it a plant or a mosquito in so corner, every single being that could be considered ’alive’ received a deadly shock right in their ntal bodies.

A supernatural shock that affected not their physical body, but their very core, the mind, the soul that made them a living entity.

This shock was so powerful that for most of the beings, it completely obliterated their ntal bodies, and if not that, it damaged their ntal bodies beyond repair... resulting in the decay of their ntal bodies that was sustained through the ntal bodies.

-Swiiiiiiiiiiiish...

There were around a few hundred trees and plants in the area, so creatures and though there was no human present in this barren area, there were powerful beasts.

And every single one of these creatures indiscriminately fell to the ground...

Trees lost their green light and healthy roots and leaned over, covering the ground with the dead leaves and branches that it couldn’t keep.

There were creatures all over the area, lifeless and colorless. Cold as only their physical bodies lay on this barren land.

-Swiiiiiiiiiish...

The land that was flowing with life, the sa land that was bathing in the golden light of the fine twilight a mont ago, now lay lifeless before the eyes of the sole survivors of this tragic event that sohow... they themselves did not know how, but, they sohow were still standing there.

Dumbfounded by the pandaemonium that had passed right over this land...
