After what feeled like only a couple of hours, even though it took multiple days, the carriage stopped. Not at the capital, but rather the small and quaint village where Cassidy and Veronica grew up in.
"It's a lot better than I thought these outskirt villages would've been like." Eleanora said, taking in the sight of the village and it's inhabitants.
"Still nothing compared to the Capital." Cassidy claid, walking alongside Veronica.
The remaining girls followed their two native party mbers, all the way to a small little ho.
"Mom, Dad! I'm here for a surprise visit!" Veronica shouted. The only sound after was the hurried scattering of feet, most likely from her parents.
Almost like the girls blinked, Veronica's parents were right in front of them, hugging Veronica and Cassidy tightly.
"Welco back dear. And welco back, Cassidy." Veronica's mom welcod, though her eyes stared at her daughter's new... additions.
"What's going on there?" Veronica's dad pointed towards her horns.
"Well, that's a long story. You might wanna sit down."
Exaggerated arm movents, sly speaking, and a little bit of very, very careful explaining, Veronica told her parents everything.
"That's why I now have these horns and this tail. Oh and uh, because of everything, you both are uh... hehe... um... You're both grandparents now."
Her parents originally started off curious, and now, their faces were blank. They were a bit too shocked hearing all this at once. Though, all seems fine when they embraced Veronica.
Words of celebration, not of her title, but her being a parent. Sothing they never thought would happen. But now, she not only had a life to look forward to, but also children, a family of her own to raise.
"How many?"
"Well... uh... hm... at least... maybe ten? With probably more on the way."
And again, more silence. There was also a short mont of passing out. Though, after a few hours, Veronica's parents spread the news in a calr manner.
"What about your parents, Cass?" Aviris asked.
"Oh uh... they're..." Cassidy was a bit sullen.
"Her parents aren't exactly around anymore. They just... left the village a few years ago, and never ca back." Veronica explained, holding Cassidy close.
Though, after another few hours, the sun had started to set, and the party started. A large amount of food, alcohol and so singing and dancing. It was laughter and cheers all around.
Though, even with the sheer amount of food, it seed like a certain Lamia ate most of it. She also partook in the alcohol, which was bit a smart idea, as she stripped off her only piece of clothing, threw it in a random direction, then attempted to forcefully mate with Veronica.
The villagers hoisted Veronica up, as so sort of heroine. She was the first person ever in their village to ever gain a title, so it would make sense that she would be propped up a bit more than usual.
The celebrations kept going until the sun was ready to rise, and that's when everyone finally went to sleep. However, Veronica knew that if she ever wanted to stay at her parents again, she'd have to buy a new bed, preferably one that can hold many people and a large amount of weight. Especially considering that Lyra is a bit heavier due to her tail.
Though, the fun was over, and all that was left was to continue forward. A royal marriage, whatever duties that would entail, and a plan to take on Amaranth.
