Chapter 797: Chapter 793: Master Lewis’s Trouble

The joy of Mid-Autumn Festival quickly passed away. Everyone in the Lewis family swiftly resud their normal routines, returning to their work or study posts.

Richelle Dunn has been focusing on Dylan Collins’s surgery lately. Hence, her original plan to keep teasing Jayden Dunn and his son got set aside for the ti being.

The ex-official that Roy Lewis t during his visit sent him so information obtained from his old colleagues. Even though it was fragnted, Richelle was extrely grateful.

She believed that with the help of so many people from different places and ages, it was just a matter of ti before she uncovered the truth.

However, while Richelle was constantly busy, Roy Lewis’s side was also in a state of chaos.

He had signed the disability welfare bill, which had affected the interests of many businesses.

Many of these businesses were leading enterprises in various industries.

And the heads of these enterprises were, in essence, influential senators.

After the bill got passed, Roy Lewis received many proposals every day requesting him to and or even repeal the bill.

Having a pile of work to do, Roy Lewis frowned and instructed Benjamin Fred.

“Mr. Fred, you handle these proposals from now on. You don’t need to escalate them to .”

Benjamin Fred was quite distressed.

“Master Lewis, these business owners are all very powerful and hard to negotiate with. If I handle it, my replies won’t be persuasive enough!”

Though this was the Presidential Palace, they sotis had to consider the feelings of these financial giants.

Roy Lewis himself had once stood in the position of these senators and understood their strong reactions.

However, so things have to be done, not because they are easy, but because they must be done.

And in Roy Lewis’s view, the disability bill was sothing that must be done.

No matter who was in power, whether it was him or Kennedy Green, they would eventually pass this bill – it was simply a matter of ti.

“Alright then, sort these out for . I’ll see if I can free up so ti tonight to et them all together.”

Benjamin Fred was startled and anxious.

“Master Lewis, this is absolutely not advisable! You must know, these people, each one individually is formidable enough. If you gather them all together, isn’t that equivalent to facing all their firepower simultaneously?”

Roy Lewis waved off his concerns, “It is decided then. Tonight from 8 to 9, tell them, those who can make it, should co.”

Benjamin Fred could only sweat for him, but he was unable to dissuade him.

After all, Roy Lewis was his superior, and he was rely a subordinate.

He was silently cursing his fate, but had no solution.

If compared to Kennedy Green’s steady approach, one could consider Roy Lewis a bit impetuous.

Kennedy Green preferred to stick to the original plans and procedures, progressing step by step.

Roy Lewis also appeared to follow the sa approach most of the ti, but occasionally, he would seize initiatives unexpectedly, doing things out of plan.

And though the results often turned out to be positive, Benjamin Fred still had quite a few cold sweats over this.

As a result, dealing with things off schedule often led to unnecessary troubles, like the current situation.

According to Kennedy Green’s plan, the disability bill would not have been pushed for approval until his next term.

But Roy Lewis, seizing the opportunity amid the massive public outcry due to a few incidents involving disabled individuals, managed to get overwhelming public support for the bill, and it got passed.

Yes, the bill got passed, but those businessn who were forced to concede under pressure have now co to make a fuss.

In the afternoon, Benjamin Fred placed the lunch he made on Roy Lewis’s office table.

“Master Lewis, have lunch first before you continue working.”

Roy Lewis responded but didn’t move. After a while, he lifted his head and asked Benjamin Fred.

“How is it? Did you notify everyone?”

Benjamin Fred could only answer honestly, “I went out early for so errands and didn’t have ti to notify them. I’ll do it after lunch.”

Roy Lewis nodded his head and said nothing more.

Benjamin Fred thought hard but was forced to quietly call Richelle Dunn.

Even though this was a matter of national affairs, they had to maintain confidentiality.

However, it didn’t relate to any major decisions; it was just so interpersonal issues arose while playing catch-up.

When Richelle Dunn received Mr. Fred’s call, she got quite a scare.

Subconsciously, she thought that sothing had happened to Roy Lewis.

“Mr. Fred, what’s the matter?”

“Dr. Dunn, the thing is…”

After Benjamin Fred approximately explained the situation, he said finally.

“Dr. Dunn, can you try to persuade Master Lewis to et them individually, so we can isolate and solve each issue. Don’t be too hasty to solve all problems at once.”

After listening to the full story, Richelle Dunn’s opinion was the sa as Roy Lewis’s.

“Mr. Fred, I think we should go with Roy Lewis’s idea.”

Benjamin Fred was quite surprised, “Dr. Dunn, so you also think that Master Lewis’s thod is more effective?”

Richelle Dunn nodded, “Firstly, I trust Roy Lewis. He is not a rash person. Of course, I can’t rule out his businessman instinct for opportunism, but his judgent is usually very accurate. I believe that he must have made this decision with these people in mind. Secondly, I would choose the sa way to handle this because these senators have their own interests and they can’t form a unified front. Therefore, if they et all at once, these senators might even pull each other back. Maybe, Roy Lewis won’t even need to explain, and they will automatically give up their plans to lobby.”
