Chapter 298: Chapter 207: The Alluring Tallest Building in the Magic City

In the tropolis, the three most famous buildings are known as the “tropolis Suite.”

They are respectively the 420-ter-tall tropolis Building, called the “Injector.”

Then there’s the second tallest, the 492-ter-tall tropolis Financial Building, known as the “Bottle Opener.”

The last one is the 632-ter-tall Central Building, nad the “Egg Beater.”

Chu Mo owned the second highest building, the tropolis Financial Building, also known as the “Bottle Opener.”

At this mont, he stood on a 55-ter-long suspended observation corridor, which was the best viewpoint of the entire Financial Building, called Sightseeing Pavilion.

From here, one could see the ground traffic, pedestrians; the whole city seed to be beneath one’s feet.

“Uncle Zhang, the observatory right beneath our feet is the highest observatory accessible to people around the world, even higher than the CN Tower’s observation deck in Canada and the observation deck of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.”

“Standing here, we can almost take in the entire city of tropolis. You’ve been working in tropolis for a while now, Uncle Zhang. Previously, you’ve always been working hard on the construction of this city, never having the chance to truly appreciate this bustling tropolis. Let’s take a good look today; this is Hua Country’s largest and most prosperous city.”

Standing on the Sightseeing Pavilion fifty-five ters up felt like a bridge stretching beyond the horizon. Standing here, as though at the edge of the heavens, with an expansive view, it evoked a sense of exuberance and pulsating energy.

Chu Mo, casually dressed in a suit, wore a slight smile. This was his second ti standing on this observation deck.

The last ti, when he ca here with Geng Pan, the heir of the Rothschild family, it was night, and they saw the whole city of tropolis brightly lit up. Now it was afternoon, and standing here, there were basically no tall buildings overhead to block the view, so he could easily see the setting sun in the west.

Here one could see the clouds rolling and unfolding, the bustling traffic.

Uncle Zhang, standing upright slightly, wore a faded shirt and trousers, washed so many tis they had lost color. His hair was half-white, his face etched with the marks left by ti.

Looking down at the bustling city, he took a deep breath as if trying to absorb the entire city into his heart and lungs, and said reflectively:

“I’ve been working in this city for six years; I was always busy on construction sites. This is the first ti I have the leisure to stop and really look at this city. Xiao Mo, this ti Uncle Zhang really owes you one. If not for your help, I might not have made it through this tough ti.”

The middle-aged man, who had spent half his life working hard for his wife and family, wasn’t good at expressing himself. He had a myriad of words in his heart but couldn’t bring himself to utter them.

Chu Mo nodded gently beside him. For him, helping out today was simply a matter of lifting a finger, and being able to help the father of a childhood friend through a crisis left him feeling quite good. With a slight curl of his lips, Chu Mo said calmly:

“Uncle Zhang, you know I only graduated a few years ago. It was all thanks to so friends. Without them, Wang Hao wouldn’t have apologized so obediently. The woman in the red dress you saw earlier is the chairwoman of this tropolis Financial Building. It was Director Zhan who gave us a big hand.”

Chu Mo didn’t really want to take full credit for what happened. Once Uncle Zhang returned, he’d surely recount today’s events with embellishnts to the people in his village. If Chu Mo didn’t set the record straight, who knew how the story would be spun? Bringing up Zhan Bingxue at this point seed like a necessary move.

After speaking, Chu Mo saw Uncle Zhang nodding in agreent, so he chose not to say more.

His gaze lightly rested on the neighboring Central Building. The last ti he was here, Chu Mo felt that this tallest building in tropolis sowhat obstructed his view of the changing scenes.

If he could take over this tallest building in tropolis… that might be a good choice.

Of course, Chu Mo knew that the Central Building, unlike the Financial Building he stood on, was different. The Financial Building originally belonged to the Zhou family, and had beco available at a bargain because of the illness and subsequent death of the old Mr. Zhou Shixing.

If it hadn’t been for that, there was no way Chu Mo could have acquired the tropolis’s second-highest building.

Similarly, the Central Building next to him, as the tallest in tropolis at 632 ters, almost one-third taller than the Financial Building beneath his feet, was not sothing that would be sold easily. Getting his hands on it would not be easy.

However, Chu Mo was not in a hurry. His current focus was still on his chain hotel and entertainnt ventures. The hundred-billion hotel chain was already mostly established, with Tianxiang Garden and the Financial Building under his belt. With Bingxue’s help, even just following standard procedures, within half a year, it was certain he would achieve his desire.

Just as Chu Mo casually observed the city beneath him, the tall and imposing Jiang Tao gently approached him. He slightly bowed his head and spoke with respectful deference,

“Mr. Chu, the task you assigned has been completed. Furthermore, we have thoroughly investigated the matter concerning Wang Hao. The vase is authentic and valued at twelve million. Following your instructions, we left the twenty million in cash with them; however, Wang Hao refused to accept the twenty million, no matter what. Right now, Wang Hao is in the restaurant on the eighty-second floor.”

“He says he wants to et with you.”

Standing at two ters and ten centiters, Jiang Tao was as formidable as a tiger, with eyes like copper bells and a voice like rolling thunder. Even when he intentionally lowered his voice, it was still full of vigour and strength.

Chu Mo nodded slightly, and before he could speak, Uncle Zhang at his side suddenly piped up,

“Xiao Mo, I want to et that bald Wang Hao. To tell the truth, I’m to bla for this. It was who broke his vase, and not only did the vase break, but he ended up compensating Uncle such a large sum of money… I feel sowhat guilty about it.

Besides, you should also call that Chairman over. Uncle will treat everyone to dinner tonight. After all, they did us a great service; we can’t just let them run around for nothing without treating them to a al. I won’t feel at ease!”

Chu Mo opened his mouth, intending to say it wasn’t necessary, but after thinking it over, since he had already pinned this incident on Zhan Bingxue, why not just pull Zhan Bingxue in to have a toast with Uncle Zhang, and thus completely settle the matter.

He nodded lightly and then instructed Jiang Tao at his side,

“You take Uncle Zhang to the restaurant on the eighty-second floor first. Uncle Zhang wants to have a chat with that bald Wang Hao. You keep an eye on things and don’t let Uncle Zhang be taken advantage of. I’ll go find Chairman Zhan to co over, and we’ll et on the eighty-second floor in a while.”

Upon hearing this, the tall Jiang Tao imdiately nodded in agreent.

That bald Wang Hao may strut around in front of ordinary folks, but in front of Jiang Tao, he’s nothing more than a chick.

In terms of power or strength, the current Jiang Tao could easily crush the opposition. With Jiang Tao watching over, Wang Hao would surely not dare to act rashly.

Of course, Chu Mo had already guessed Wang Hao’s intentions. He wanted to see him out of fear that Chu Mo might later seek revenge against his Haoguang Real Estate. Now, whether Wang Hao t Uncle Zhang or himself, he would only be grovelling, with absolutely no guts for mischief.

Under Jiang Tao’s lead, Uncle Zhang’s figure gradually vanished from sight. anwhile, Chu Mo took one last look at the imposing Central Building in front of him. With a subtle excitent stirring in his heart, he withdrew his gaze, then turned around and walked towards the sightseeing corridor.

Zhan Bingxue was in a eting on the ninety-second floor.

In the afternoon, Chu Mo had directly dismissed Huang Gao, the senior manager from the Zhou family, and consequently, over a dozen of the Zhou family’s senior executives had already departed. Naturally, Zhan Bingxue would have to clean up this ss and select a new general manager, as well as key personnel for the various positions.

Chu Mo looked at his wristwatch; it was now five forty in the afternoon. With the arrival of autumn, the daylight hours were gradually shortening. It was no longer like before when at six o’clock the sun in the west would have already nearly set.

Having walked around with Uncle Zhang for more than an hour, Chu Mo felt that Zhan Bingxue’s eting should be about to end. Thus, after changing direction, he took the dedicated elevator directly to the ninety-second floor.

Chu Mo had visited the entire financial building before. Although he couldn’t claim to know it like the back of his hand, he could still find the eting room on the ninety-second floor.

Passing through the long corridor, a room marked with the eting room sign soon ca into view. Chu Mo slightly adjusted his collar before pushing the door open and entering.

The door to the vast and luxurious eting room opened to reveal a group of n and won engaged in animated discussion. Easily, Chu Mo spotted Zhan Bingxue situated at the central position.

She was still dressed in a dazzling red long dress, with her soft maroon hair neatly coiled up on the back of her head, wearing a crystal necklace around her pale, slender neck, looking as elegant and dignified as ever.

However, with Chu Mo’s sudden intrusion, the conference room, which had been filled with continuous discussion, fell silent.

Then, to the right of Zhan Bingxue, a long-haired woman holding a golden pen, who had been speaking, suddenly narrowed her eyes. She fixed her gaze on Chu Mo, who had disrupted the entire eting, and then, with a mix of dissatisfaction and severity, the woman exuding the image of a strong leader said,

“Which departnt are you from? The hotel’s high-level etings are not sothing you can just barge into. You had better give a satisfactory explanation, or you’ll be packing your things and getting out of here today!”
