So sense of Relief washed through Lun as he received confirmation that the Elite was actually a lower level than him.

If he was faced with sothing like a level 23 or 24 Elite, he knew he would have another life and death battle ahead of him. He didn’t even want to think about if a level 25 E tier Elite showed up, as just the thought drew fear out of him.

But even if he knew the wolf’s level, it didn’t stop the beast from inducing slight anxiety and excitent in Lun.

The Elite was tall, nearly the sa as two Luns stacked on top of each other. The pitch black hair covered more than just its spine and tail like the level 12 one had. This one had pitch black fur spreading through its spine, tail, head and paws.

As Lun observed it, it observed him back. But it didn’t spend long staring him down and surprised him by opening its big mouth and letting out a beastly roar.

Lun was a little taken aback by the sudden behaviour of the beast as usually the more intelligent wolves spent more ti observing him before they attacked or he attacked first. He assud it was because of their intelligence that they did this, but now that this Elite in front of him was exhibiting such different behaviour he was caught off guard and couldn’t respond in ti when it imdiately launched an attack at him.

Lun recovered from his surprise right as its claws were just inches from his face. He did his best to conjure up the best defence he could to fend off the attack and when both sides t with their strength, he didn’t receive as much damage as he expected he would have.

He was only sent a little over 3 tres backwards and didn’t even falter in his steps!

’HAH, if you want to play like that then let’s play!’

If a fight was what it wanted, then why delay it? Lun took after the Elite wolf and launched so of his fastest attacks in as short a ti as he could muster.

His Arcane spear was significantly more powerful than his weak Tutorial Spear he had used to defeat the level 12 Elite, and combined with his Mana Reinforcent skill he had imbued it with, damage kept piling up on the wolf the more he struck forth with his spear.

Tens of spear after images continuously poured towards the wolf each second as he counter attacked the wolf.

Lun welcod the challenge from the wolf with a smile when he saw the wolf struggling to keep up with his speed and watched as the wolf’s huge health bar was whittling down at a pace far faster than his own was.

But he couldn’t keep his rapid barrage of spear attacks up for long, and after only 20 seconds he had to step back a dozen tres to give his arms a rest for a minute.

The wolf responded in kind and retreated even further back than Lun had. However instead of using the ti to recuperate, it instead seed to be planning differently than it’s opponent.

Right after it had rushed dozens of tres backwards with it’s huge body, the wolf started performing so actions that brought back mories of a terrifying and powerful attack that the level 12 Elite wolf produced back when he fought it.

However there was nothing he could do to interrupt the wolf’s charging of the attack as he too had to spend this precious break in the battle recovering his stamina and mana.

He sped the process up a little by gulping down a mana potion as well as a health potion. But it still wasn’t enough as by the ti a minute had passed and he rushed over to the beast to attack, he was t with a release of darkness energy from the wolf that sent trembles through the whole hallway as echoes from the blast reverberated throughout the place for kilotres in each direction.

Lun himself was at the forefront of the attack and bore the brunt of the powerful shockwave and felt the intense darkness energy doing its best to invade his body.

It was clear that the charged attack from the wolf had won against Lun’s on the spot defence as it continued onwards past him, albeit significantly weakened.

By the ti Lun managed to cough up the blood that was congregating in his mouth, he had landed over 200 tres back in the direction he ca from.

He looked at his status a little disjointedly and gulped with a little fear at seeing his health bar decreased by two thirds of its total from that one attack.

He attempted to gulp down another health potion, but he saw no effect from it, only tasting a little like strawberry water and not feeling a hint of that magical energy he usually sensed within it.

’F*ck this shitty system and it’s hidden cooldowns!’ He cursed loudly in his mind, suppressing his desire to vent his anger outwards, not wanting to cause any more damage to himself while he was in such a fragile state.

However he only had himself to bla for his predicant, he knew that the Elite had at least one powerful darkness elent skill at it’s disposal from his previous fight with the lower levelled one.

Yet he still stupidly gave it the chance to charge it up after he spent his energy launching a myriad of attacks on the wolf.

’That’s it, no more stalling or probing when ever I co across a new and interesting beast!’

Having resolved himself to be more careful when he fights in the future, he casted a few heals on himself, taking his health back up to a little over half before he dusted himself off and got back on his feet.

He knew from that one attack that despite it being powerful, it wasn’t quite at the level where it could kill Lun in one shot, and from this observation he knew that his fight with this Elite would go down easier than his first fight against one.

If it needed to spend a whole minute charging up one attack to only get rid of two thirds of his health, then he simply wouldn’t give it the chance to even spend 5 seconds charging up an attack!

The dust soon cleared and just as he thought so, the wolf stood in the sa place it had launched it’s charged attack from, panting heavily while looking in Lun’s direction with expectation and anticipation.

However when it caught sight of him, Lun wasn’t sure due to their differences in nature but he swore he could see a little shock and fear in it’s eyes when it laid it’s eyes on a still standing, smiling Lun.

His smile disappeared when he entered a sprint towards to heaving wolf.

"You won’t be alive in five minutes!"

He even taunted the poor beast before it even had the chance to run away.
