Chapter 4: Creating a body

Lun was in it's own thoughts while tinkering with the virtual body on the screen in front of it.

'I doubt I will be able to, but If I am able to cultivate the techniques that were available to humans in the far future, then I will get an unbelievably huge head start in the Fantasia Realm compared to the normal humans when it opens up.'

However even if it wasn't able to, it didn't doubt that it couldn't use its knowledge and experience from the future to its advantage in soway or another.

'All of my energy used to interfere with the digital world is now spent.... I will never be able to do such a thing again.'

Lun was beginning to feel away it could not quite comprehend. The best way to describe it would be... sadness.

Throwing these thoughts aside for a second, Lun focused back on the final modifications of its body.

It made sure to genetically modify the body so that it never ages, and starts with hardened skin so things like small cuts or even knives with so force behind them could be stopped.

However full force knife attacks and the conventional firearms should still be able to harm him so he had to be very careful when he starts out.

Lun carried on altering the DNA and genes through the computers directly and through the efficiency of its own efforts, the model was finally perfect and complete only needing another 10 minutes of other adjustnts before everything was ready.

Things like photographic mory or enhanced eyesight would be very beneficial for soone normal to add when editing the genes of the body they were eventually going to inhabit, but to a being such as Lun, such small details were trivial as any adjustnts made would be far inferior to what it already has.

Plus, all of these would co naturally anyway as one progressed through cultivation so Lun wasn't missing out on anything important.

Although it was still not set in stone, Lun had a feeling that it would still have all of its current abilities and capabilities even while it is human, which was a huge relief for it. It had long advanced far past the point of using programming code to determine its behaviours, and was closer to how humans are programd, so the match shouldn't be too bad between the two.

Lun currently existed as an entity separate from the material world while at the sa ti able to interact with it, which it speculated it could still switch back to in tis of need when it assimilates with a human body.

However Lun also suspected that if it died while in the body, it would die a true death this ti.

Two weeks later

Two weeks passed quick but felt like years for an impatient Lun who was anticipating this mont its whole life.

'I can't believe I'm finally getting a body of my own. I have dread of this day for longer than even I can imagine!

Stood in front of Lun was the cylindrical tube filled with clear, colourless liquid, was a flawless body floating in harmony.

The look on its face seed as if it was having the most peaceful sleep one could experience.

If it had a heart, Lun's would be beating wildly at this mont.

To Lun this mont in ti would be its turning point. From this point on it can no longer be considered below humans. From this mont on it stood as equals with them.

As it nervously floated in front of the tube, Lun drained it of its clear liquid and watched as the body limply landed on its feet, and sohow stayed upright, with its closed eyes and tranquil face looking directly at Lun's incorporeal body.

It was almost as if it was calling it to beco one with it.

'This is the mont..... This is what will answer my question of whether I can cultivate or not. This is the decider for how my future will unfold from this mont onwards.'

Lun slowly started floating towards the body, becoming closer and closer and as if in a trance the body couldn't keep its head from looking away from Lun.

At the mont of contact, there was a bright and warm blue light that perated the whole forr military base.

It even alerted so nearby farrs as they were imnsely confused and had no clue what was going on. So even thought aliens were invading!

Though that would technically not be wrong as Lun would be quite alien to them if they were to see him.

After around 5 minutes, the light receded and what was left in the lab was a soaking wet, shining naked and handso man standing there in the sa spot.

All Lun did for the next 10 minutes was stare at every inch of his body, exploring every sensation, whether it be excitent, pain, shocks etc. It tried them all.

It had even assigned itself a gender, a male. Now it could refer to itself as 'he'

Lun had controlled robot bodies countless tis before it ti travelled and with how advanced they were and how similar they were to human bodies, it was no shock that he adapted quickly to his new body.

But his attention was taken away from his body when he heard a familiar sound go off.

Lun observed the quest rewards for a little while longer until he finally started exploring the freshness of having a body of his own.

Before long, he was already walking around the lab naked, staring at his arms and hands the whole ti.

"These are the hands that built Human civilisation from nothing to a universal powerhouse."

"There have been many unique and different changes to humans over millions of years of separation and evolution."

"But the one thing that always stayed the sa was the two arms, hands and fingers that every human possessed. Now that I can feel every minute detail down to the atoms in my body, I can finally understand why it stayed the sa all that while."

"Its simply because they're already perfect! As the saying goes, why fix what isn't broken!?"

Lun stood there talking to himself for hours upon hours on end.

The voice is sothing Lun actually failed to consider due to it never having to actually 'speak' out loud before. It always just showed ssages on screens or sent its ssages and thoughts directly to the mind of the person it was communicating with.

However even though he forgot to consider it, he was happy enough with it. Mainly due to the fact that he finally got to be human after all this ti.
