Chapter 180: Chapter 115 Curiosity

Even though Shu Wan didn’t initially understand what all these props were for, by now, combining Fu Yang’s words with his expression, she had mostly figured it out.

She wasn’t exactly embarrassed; if anything, she was more curious.

These were not topics that the teachers at Bailu Academy would discuss in class.

On the eve of a grand wedding, there would typically be a nanny to teach the bride, but Shu Wan had arrived in modern tis before her wedding could take place. Despite her knowledge of astronomy and geography, she knew little of matters between n and won.

Fu Siyu’s composed expression cracked slightly as he turned his head and gave Fu Yang a warning look, “Go back.”

Fu Yang curled his lip, “As if I’m keen to stick around here.”

With that, Fu Yang turned and left.

The housekeeper and servants also knew to take their leave with Fu Yang gone, exiting promptly.

Now, only Fu Siyu and Shu Wan remained at the bedroom door.

Feeling it was awkward to stand at the door, Fu Siyu looked at Shu Wan, “Have a seat for now. I’ll ask the housekeeper to arrange another room for .”

“There’s no need. I’ll sleep in the next room.” Shu Wan had occupied this place before, but now that the true master of the Estate had returned, she wouldn’t compete with him.

Knowing it was pointless to argue, Fu Siyu just sent a ssage to the housekeeper to prepare another guest room for him.

They both sat down on the sofa, surrounded by fresh flowers and the bright red auspices of the Dragon and Phoenix. Fu Siyu looked notably uncomfortable.

Shu Wan, however, found the decorations around her quite interesting.

“I heard you’ve chosen pharmaceutical studies and are interested in drug manufacturing?” Fu Siyu initiated a conversation.

“Yes, I want to give it a try,” Shu Wan nodded.

“I established a research institute in China a couple of years ago; it even has an equipped factory. If you were to join, I’d be very pleased.”

Shu Wan was puzzled, “You’re involved in the dical industry too?”

“Our group is engaged in a wide range of industries. This dostic pharmaceutical company is a recent startup, so it’s still quite young and needs a core mber who can stabilize the company.”

Shu Wan chuckled, “I’ve just been admitted to university, and you think I can control a corporation?”

“Yes,” Fu Siyu nodded without hesitation, “I believe you can.”

Shu Wan looked into Fu Siyu’s deep, dark eyes, which seed to contain churning waves capable of pulling the onlooker into the deep sea.

Before Shu Wan could respond, Fu Siyu suddenly added, “Fu Yang is a very important person to .”

Shu Wan was taken aback, not understanding why Fu Siyu would suddenly bring up Fu Yang.

“But I admit I have neglected his upbringing. I’m thankful to you for shaping him so well. Therefore, I can give you the pharmaceutical group in China.”

Although Shu Wan had not researched the pharmaceutical group that Fu Siyu ntioned, she knew that anything coming from Fu Siyu’s hands was far from a simple small company.

Fu Siyu’s gestures were always on such a grand scale; honestly, Shu Wan was a bit surprised.

“In our deal, I’ve already received what I needed; there’s no need for you to offer anything extra.”

“Then, how about this,” Fu Siyu looked straight at Shu Wan, “I provide you the equipnt and lab space, and for any products you develop, the final profits could be split—ninety percent for you and ten for .”

“That’s for you—”

“That’s fair to ,” Fu Siyu’s eyes were earnest, “for , buying peace of mind is more important.”

Shu Wan understood—Fu Siyu was talking about Fu Yang.

That makes sense, I suppose.

Although to ordinary people, the profits of the pharmaceutical conglorate are imnse, to Fu Siyu, they are negligible.

Yet, to him, what’s more important is Fu Yang’s education.

Shu Wan didn’t refuse any longer, having such a lucrative opportunity, she naturally loved to accept it, “Okay, I hope I won’t let you down.”

“Of course, you won’t.” Fu Siyu’s eyes lifted slightly as if he genuinely breathed a sigh of relief, “I’ve brought so gifts back with , I’ll go down and get them.”

“Gifts?” Shu Wan felt a bit helpless, “You’ve already sent so many things from abroad.”

“It’s not the sa, is it?” Fu Siyu stood up, his gaze falling upon Shu Wan.

His brows and eyes were attractive, and when he looked down at soone, it was like the soft hazy mountain ranges, heavy and distant, as if enveloping a person within them.

“What’s different?”

“When I send things usually, it’s because you might need them.” Fu Siyu paused, then continued, “And bringing back gifts when I return, is probably because of a little selfishness on my part.”

Shu Wan lifted her eyebrows faintly, clearly not understanding the ‘little selfishness’ Fu Siyu was referring to.

“When Fu Yang was little, I used to bring him little gifts every ti I ca back, and he would be very happy about my return.” Fu Siyu’s gaze rested on Shu Wan’s face, “It’s naturally the sa now.”

Being stared at intently by Fu Siyu made Shu Wan subconsciously feel a void within her.

She didn’t know if Fu Siyu’s “naturally the sa now” ant he was looking forward to Fu Yang’s happiness about his return or hers.

“Everyone is already very happy that you could co back.”

“Are you as well?” Fu Siyu’s face bore a hint of a smile, then teased, “You probably have to say yes because I brought you sothing you’ll like.”

The slightly awkward atmosphere between the two was shattered by Fu Siyu’s words.

The emotions that Shu Wan had unconsciously roused now returned to normal.

She nodded, smiling, “Of course, I’m happy.”

“Then wait for a bit, I’ll go get them.”

“Okay.”

Fu Siyu went downstairs and soon returned carrying a bunch of gifts.

While passing by Fu Yang’s room, Fu Yang glanced up from his computer screen and imdiately clicked his tongue.

At that mont, he was teaming up with his gaming buddies, and hearing Fu Yang’s noise, a teammate quickly asked, “What’s wrong?”

“I saw a double-standard old fox showing off.”

“Ah?” The teammates were confused as each word was familiar, but they didn’t make sense together, “Showing off? Double-standard? Old fox?”

“My old man.” Fu Yang snorted, “This old man, he used to co back empty-handed, but now that he’s got a wife, he actually knows to bring gifts, tsk tsk.”

“Hahaha.” The teammate finally understood, “Got it, got it, you must have been picked up.”

“Enough, there’s soone to the right in front. Get ready to shoot.”

anwhile, in the neighboring bedroom, Fu Siyu returned to the room with a bunch of gifts but didn’t see Shu Wan’s figure.

As Fu Siyu was guessing that Shu Wan might have gone to the study, Shu Wan ca out of the bathroom holding a bunch of props prepared by the housekeeper and others.

Shu Wan picked up a pair of handcuffs and a whip, “Why would these even be used in matters between n and won?”

“……” Even Fu Siyu’s perennially composed face couldn’t hold steady.
