Unfortunately, there was another problem with using my ti elental particles.

Unlike fire and water users who could easily access their elent and find new elental particles, my ti particles were finite.

I only had the ones in my body...and that was it.

Once I ran out, I would lose complete access to my elent...unless I found a way to recover them.

Snapping back to reality, an exhausted and hoarse voice sounded from beside .

"I-it’s cold; let’s go."

With my legs reenergized, I walked down the stairs while Mira huffed and puffed behind , as if she were climbing Mt. Everest.

Behind , I could even hear the faint sound of her complaining.

"I-i’m an observer...m-my body isn’t ant for this..."

Finally, as we reached the last flight of stairs downward, Mira, drained and not paying attention, placed her leg too far forward.

As she moved forward, her body instantly tilted and slipped, causing her to free-fall downward.

Unsurprised, I stepped to the side of the staircase and held my right hand out like a barrier, instantly feeling her stomach crashing against my arm and halt.

Throughout the entire walk down, I had seen a tempo holographic line from her to the ground, so I had expected her to fall at so point.

Halting upon banging against my arm, Mira placed her hand on her stomach and rebalanced herself, staring at with a confused expression.

"What was that...I didn’t even have to tell you I was falling."

Taking the last step downward and reaching the coliseum’s arc-shaped exit, I nodded my head and answered.

"Tempo."

It was as if there was an AI planted in my brain that ran hundreds of simulations for each scenario and gave the most likely one.

Feeling the cold air brush against my face, I jumped back onto the path that led to the academy’s main street and turned around.

"You know we’re going to be late for curfew if we continue at this place."

Panting and walking onto the path behind , Mira shook her head and emotionlessly said.

"That’s what you’re worried about...after all of that?"

Seeing nod my head, Mira dramatically reached her hand out, raised her eyebrows, and said while staring at the ground.

"Leave ...only one of us can make i-"

Sighing, I grabbed her outstretched arm and yanked her forward.

"Your cake’s gonna get cold; co on, let’s go."

As she chuckled and stumbled forward, I smiled and looked at the now less crowded academy streets.

The rest of the journey back to the Imperial dorm was uneventful, as the crowd was now fairly easy to get through, as most of the students had left for their dorms.

And the lingering sll of all the sweets and treats served during the ceremony kept Mira going.

As I walked up the stairs to the dorm building and approached the magic circle, I instantly felt another droplet of my elental particles vanish.

Initially, there had been a small puddle within my legs, but now only a single raindrop was left in each.

Now, rushing forward, I was about to turn around to say my goodbyes to Mira, but she had caught up to .

Standing less than a step behind, Mira tilted her head and asked with a smile.

"Let guess, ladies first?"

Leaning forward and toward her, I shook my head and said.

"I get all the rewards by the way."

Then, without waiting for her response, I stepped backward onto the middle of the magical circle, leaving a confused Mira behind.

As my surroundings reford to resemble the Imperial dormitory, darkness imdiately overwheld .

All the lights in the common room were off, and I could only see the slight outline of the staircase and the couches.

Even if sobody were in the room, I doubted I’d be able to see them.

Sighing, I raised my right hand and touched the bandage covering my right eye.

I’d check tomorrow if it’d healed, but even if it did, I wouldn’t be able to walk around with that demon-looking eye.

Perhaps...another problem a magical artifact could solve?

Dreaming of the money reward that would co from winning the mana gathering competition with Mira, I smiled and stepped forward.

Not even 5 hours ago, I was dreading being in the Imperial dormitory, but now, it was my greatest blessing!

I had figured out my ti elent, solved my money problems, and even made two acquaintances.

Gripping the staircase’s railing with my right hand like my life depended on it, I slowly scaled the stairs.

And as I reached the halfway point up to the second floor, a blue flash suddenly appeared, and the paper on the door suddenly shifted.

[Mira (Floor 5, Room 3) has entered]

Taking my hand off the railing, I lightly waved at the entrance despite it being pitch-dark.

A mont later, I turned around and headed up to the second floor, opening my door and imdiately collapsing on my bed face-first

As my face hit the soft mattress, my legs instantly gave out, going completely numb and limp.

Within seconds, my eyelids had both closed, and with every fleeting second, I lost a bit of consciousness.

...

...

...

As the sunlight shined through the windows, right onto the back of my head, my dry and sweaty amber-brown hair glistened.

My eyes suddenly flickered open, before imdiately closing, not voluntarily but because of pure exhaustion.

Rolling over onto my back, I pushed myself upward, with my palms, onto the pillows behind .

Every single muscle in my body ached, particularly my legs, which wouldn’t even move, no matter how much my brain commanded.

As I looked directly to my right through the completely glass wall, the beautiful Glaive Academy campus awaited .

The glass classroom buildings glittered under the sun’s rays, and the view of lush green trees and glaive streets was breathtaking.

Titling my head forward, I reluctantly looked away from the window and at the opposite wall, where my desk lay.

And there, atop my amber-brown desk, lay a small piece of paper that hadn’t been there previously.
