The darkness of the night sky, accompanied by a sprinkling of stars, was the first thing I saw seconds after I opened my eyes and woke up.

I got up, stretched my back and body for a mont, then approached the stream about 15 ters to the east.

I washed my face in the stream, refreshing my face and awakening from sleepy feeling, ready to carry out my planned plan.

I clenched my right fist, causing the Black Star in my right palm to glow brightly with its black aura.

WOOOSHH...!

The black aura continued to grow, blazing like black flas, then gradually manifested into the figure of a tall, burly man with red skin—Rhaevor.

Rhaevor gradually changed shape as my concentration increased, transforming into my trusted dark horse—Shadow Moon.

"LORD VERMILLION... ARE YOU READY?"

Terra, the golem, stood like a towering tower that had risen out of thin air.

"Yes, where’s the Great Wyvern?" I asked, mounting Shadow Moon’s saddle. Then I heard the sound of flapping wings from the west.

The Great Wyvern ca from the air and landed about 20 ters away from .

"MAKE SURE YOU’RE READY, BECAUSE THIS PLAN CAN ONLY WORK ONCE. ONE FAILURE, AND WE’LL ALL DIE IN VAIN...!"

I smiled at the Great Wyvern’s warning.

"Of course, Great Wyvern. We can’t fail. Focus on our mission," I said.

I spurred Shadow Moon south, specifically toward the golden mountain of Aaren.

Behind , the Great Wyvern imdiately soared back into the dark night sky, heading in exactly the sa direction.

Terra, the golem, followed closely behind.

Its towering height allowed its earth-shaking stride to instantly shorten the distance.

I spurred Shadow Moon, making my black horse gallop at breakneck speed, matching the speed of the Great Wyvern in the sky and the swift stride of Terra the golem.

In just a matter of minutes, from a distance, we saw the golden mountain of Aaren drawing near.

I was truly surprised; it turned out the golden mountain was literally filled with gold, visible even from afar.

From the sky, I could see large amounts of gold being excavated from the ground in several spots around the mountain.

Even at the peak of the golden mountain of Aaren, there was a palace made entirely of gold!

It felt like I was seeing a fantasy palace, the gold shining brightly under the night sky.

"INTERPRETTORS...!"

A soldier’s shout rang out from the area, causing magical blue torches to automatically light up in several spots across the mountain.

From my rough count, there were over a hundred of them, and each of them wore black armor with red stripes along the sides and clad in white wings.

This black armor differed from the armor typically worn by Rune Knights or Thornvale assassins, as the magical power I detected was significantly greater.

It seed these black-armored soldiers were Ventura’s troops, who had managed to kill so of my intelligence officers.

With such a significant power gap compared to the Thornvale assassins, it was only natural that many of my intelligence officers had fallen victim to their brutality.

"TH-THESE ARE NOT JUST SIMPLY INTRUDERS! THERE’S A GOLEM AND A DRAGON! THEY’RE ATTACKING AT THE SA TI! TURN ON THE HIGHEST LEVEL SECURITY SYSTEM!"

As I arrived, along with The Great Wyvern and Terra, the Ventura soldiers imdiately raised their magical staffs, emitting a bright blue light.

Hundreds of Ventura soldiers simultaneously raised their magical staffs, filling the golden mountains of Aaren with bright blue dots, forming a blue magical shield that instantly enveloped the golden mountains of Aaren like an eggshell.

SMASHHH...!

Terra’s giant fist slamd into the giant magical shield with a loud bang.

But there wasn’t even the slightest crack or damage to the giant magical shield.

Damn it.

All the Ventura soldiers were truly going all-out to strengthen their magical shield.

Even though Terra was a giant golem with imnse destructive power, executing it would be difficult with the Ventura Troops’ magical shield this thick and sturdy.

I raised my right hand high, causing the Black Star with its white light in the center to light up simultaneously.

Black and white auras surged out violently, creating an additional energy boost that instantly amplified Terra’s power.

"HUOOOO...!"

Terra shouted loudly, sending shivers down the spines of all the soldiers in the mountain region, as his voice was so oppressive.

The golem launched its second giant fist and—

SMASH...!

CRACK...!

Good!

Shards of the magical shield began to form on its second fist!

I saw Ventura’s soldiers panicking at the crack that appeared on their much-vaunted magical shield.

They quickly re-enforced their magical shield, slowly repairing the cracks with their magical energy.

"Don’t let them repair the magical shield...! Attack again, Terra...!" I shouted loudly.

"HOOOOO....!"

Terra charged again, this ti smashing the magical shield with his massive, sturdy shoulder.

SMASH....!

CRACK...! CRACK...!

Heh...good.

Even though Ventura’s troops were trying to repair the cracked magical shield, they couldn’t keep up with the damage caused by Terra’s attack!

I’m sure that just a few more attacks would shatter the magical shield!

Amidst my optimism, I suddenly felt a strong sense of murder in the mountainous region.

Although hidden behind the trees in the mountainous region, I could clearly see the archers preparing to shoot with their anti-magic arrows.

A split second later, the Ventura archers released their bows, sending hundreds of anti-magic arrows shooting straight through the magical shield.

And all hundreds of arrows were aid at .

In a split second, I aid my right palm at the hundreds of arrows.

The Black Star in my right palm emitted a black aura, which imdiately manifested into a burst of black flas that spread and incinerated all the arrows without exception.

"T-that wizard can consu all our anti-magic arrows...?! N-No way...!"

"W-what is that black fla...?! It’s so strong and fast...!"

Huh... hearing the Ventura archers’ ranting felt like motivation to .

How naive they were to think that Terra would retreat if they attacked !

"Co on, Terra...! Just a little more...!"

"HUOOO.....!"

Terra imdiately charged again, smashing into the magical shield, which had already cracked 75% of its surface.

And this ti, amidst the hysterical cries of hundreds of Ventura soldiers and Terra’s passionate shouts, Terra’s assault succeeded in opening all the cracks, completely shattering them.

CRASH...!

The night sky seed to shake violently under the collapse of the Ventura army’s strongest magical shield.

Everything was broke, shattered, thanks to Terra’s assault!

The giant golem continued its advance, smashing and trampling Ventura soldiers along the way.

"AHHH....HELP....!"

"THE GIANT GOLEM IS COMING...! RUN....!"

The previously solid and orderly formation of hundreds of Ventura soldiers imdiately dispersed, avoiding the golem’s giant foot that nearly crushed them alive.

This was the kind of panic I’d been waiting for.

They were too busy running, all their attention focused on the golem, giving the opportunity to enter the golden mountain region of Aaren.

"GREAT...! IT’S OUR TURN, VERMILLION BOY...!" shouted the Great Wyvern, swooping down from the sky toward .

"Hah...! Of course, Great Wyvern...! Let’s go...!" I shouted, spurring Shadow Moon quickly, causing it to take quick steps on the ground and then leap high into the air.

All four legs, shrouded in a black aura, now raced through the air, soaring swiftly toward the golden palace atop the golden mountain of Aaren.

THUNK! THUNK! THUNK!

WOOSHH!

Hundreds of anti-magic arrows, along with fireballs, once again attacked from various directions, aiming to slaughter .

I spurred Shadow Moon quickly, trying desperately to avoid them, but—

THUNK! THUNK!

"Ugh...!"

Two of the dozens of arrows struck my right shoulder.

I accelerated Shadow Moon to avoid the second wave of anti-magic arrows, but—

"BOOM...!"

"Ahhh...!"

A magical fireball struck Shadow Moon, causing her to sway and lose her balance.

The fucking heat stings felt sore on my body

I gripped Shadow Moon’s saddle tightly, and my world felt like it was spinning wildly.

I quickly gripped my right hand tightly, causing the Black Star’s black aura to surge out again, strengthening Shadow Moon.

With just one push, Shadow Moon regained his balance and shot straight toward the golden palace, dodging the onslaught of arrows and those damn magical fireballs.

"Great Wyvern...! Now it’s your turn...!" I shouted, and I saw the Great Wyvern already in the sky.

Its head was tilted skyward, red aura gathering in its mouth, ready to unleash its strongest poison gas.

Judging by the intense, oppressive red aura, it seed the Great Wyvern had reached its peak.

"GO, VERMILLION BOY...! THIS MOUNTAIN REGION IS FINISHED!"

The Great Wyvern’s loud cry was imdiately followed by an explosion of poisonous gas that spread throughout the golden mountains of Aaren.

At the sa ti, I unleashed a black tornado spell, which imdiately caused the poisonous gas to spread even faster to every remaining Ventura soldier.

The Ventura soldiers, of course, imdiately secured their positions.

They each wore their own black soldier’s helts, envious.

However, it turned out the helts weren’t strong enough to withstand the deadly effects of the poison gas.

They imdiately collapsed, vomiting, and even gasping for breath.

The Great Wyvern’s poison gas was working wonders!

Even dozens of Ventura soldiers who were about to ambush near the palace were knocked down by the poison gas!

I easily entered the palace grounds, then accelerated Shadow Moon to dart forward and into one of the large windows.

CRASH...!

The palace lobby, with its golden floors and red carpet, felt like I’d entered a fantasy palace.

I looked around, and a purplish haze had already filled the palace lobby.

Even as I walked down the palace hallway, the purplish haze lingered, indicating that the Great Wyvern’s poison gas had spread even into the palace.

Throughout my journey through the palace, soldiers, maids, and servants lay limp, so even dead.

I easily rode Shadow Moon through the palace, finally arriving at the throne room.

WHAMM...!"

I rode Shadow Moon through the door, smashing into the throne room, and finally arrived at the throne room.

It was deserted.

There were only the corpses of maids and elite soldiers lying limp, helpless from the Great Wyvern’s poisonous gas.

But among the corpses, my attention was imdiately drawn to a woman with long, tied-up hair, big and sexy boobs with a noble gown sitting in the throne room.

Although the poisonous gas mist had filled the throne room, it seed the woman was still holding on thanks to her own magical defenses.

The woman imdiately widened her eyes in surprise when she noticed my presence.

"Well, hello there, Countess Azalea Aurelius," I greeted casually.
