At that mont I didn’t know if I should be glad that he had protected or if I should be worried. I stood frozen, staring at his shoulders.

Afterwards, he retracted his hand, before tucking it in his pocket, his eyes glead, as he stared at his handiwork, the ground was painted red with blood.

"Now follow ," his voice grew louder, sending chills down my spine, my head spinned like a spiral, I didn’t want to go with him. That man is a bonafide psychopath.

When he noticed that I hadn’t moved an inch, he turned his head slightly over his shoulder, "do you want to carry you?" His voice was laced with a mix of amusent and irritation.

"No master." I answered, walking towards him. "But master I haven’t finished my punishnt yet," I said in order for him to leave behind, but it seems like luck has run out from my side.

"No worries, I have others in mind." He answered curtly, silencing every stubborn voice in .

As we walked away from the warehouse, my eyes glanced at the Oga who I had helped earlier, she sat weakly on the ground. My steps faltered, falling behind him.

"Master... Can I go and help the girl?" My voice quivered a little.

"No."

"Why?" I shot back.

He turned around, his eyes narrowing at . Seconds went by in silence, the tension was so thick that I couldn’t breathe.

"Alaric will take care of her, now stop asking annoying questions." He turned around, walking back into the castle’s hallway.

We walked in silence as I followed after him, our feet making a click-clack sound against the tiles on the floor. My eyes widened in horror when we stopped in front of a polished brown wooden door, it stood mightily like a cruel door of judgent to my fate.

The door creaked open, then he stepped inside. My heart hamred in my chest, as dread etched on my face like a haunting ghost chasing after its prey. ’Is he going to do it now?’ I wondered.

"Don’t make co back for you," his voice rang from inside the room.

I swallowed, knowing that I was standing in a crossroad that both leads to disaster, if I disobey him, he might rip off my arms or limbs, worst case scenario my head, and if I obey him, I would be turned into nothing more than a breeder, in other words a sex machine... I think a baby-making machine precisely.

My fist clenched tightly, my knuckles turned white, a great comparison to how my face was, ashened and drained from blood.

I summoned all the courage I could gather before stepping inside the room, before my eyes could linger on the decoration of the room, Damon’s voice rang again. "Shut the door."

I shut the down behind , before returning my gaze to the room, which was spacious with a king size bed in the middle of the room, whose linen were dark shades of blue, to the left side was a large grey couch, with a polished brown table, and to the far end of the right side of the room, laid a brown polished table and a black comfy chair. On top of the table were loads of paperworks.

Adjacent to the bed was a door leading to the balcony, an elegant chandelier jangling from the ceiling, and the floor was polished oak wood. The left wall opposite the bed was another door, which I don’t know where it led to, and to the right wall was a massive wardrobe as high as the ceiling with the colour of a chestnut.

A black fur-like rug spread round in the middle of the room, so to put it shortly, the room was the pure definition of boredom with class.

"You seem intrigued by my room," Damon’s voice curtly cut off from inspecting further, making my relaxing heartbeat hamr again.

Abruptly, I turned towards him. He leisurely stood by the windows, casually relaxing his back against the wall, his hands were still tucked in his pockets. The windows were at both sides of the door leading to the balcony, its dark blue curtains draping gracefully against the wall, before sweeping down to the floor.

"I must say, your taste is superb," I said, giving him a thumbs up. ’Your room lacks vibrancy and it looks so old fashioned with no appropriate taste, which is making my eyes bleed out and killing with boredom.’ I said inwardly, forcing an impressed smile on my face, actually, It only made look awkward.

"Is that so?" He asked leisurely, his narrowed gaze staring nonstop at , I couldn’t help but fidget under his stare.

Minutes went by, but it felt like a torturous hundred of years, it was like being watched by a predator ready to pounce on any mont.

"Shouldn’t you be doing your job? Or do I need to teach you?" He asked, with his head tilted to the side, his lips curling up into a smile that looked eerily, sending jolts of bad vibes through .

"Master... I thought you were going to give a new punishnt." I innocently blinked at him, but it seems like my words have struck the wrong nerves.

A growl resonated from his throat, echoing through the room, making wish for the ground to open up and swallow .

His back straightened before striding towards , I took a few steps backwards, fear gripping my heart, ’don’t co closer, don’t co closer.’ I chanted as if it would make him stop.

My back pressed into the cold wall, a reminder that I have reached the end of my escape, his hands rested against the wall.

"You don’t tell what to do, Ember," he drawled, my na rolling out perfectly on his tongue, his dark black eyes staring straight into my blue fearful ones.

He clicked his tongue in annoyance, making flinch at the sound, it is not like I have done anything to annoy him.

"Your punishnt is to serve tonight." He said, his gaze slowly sweeping down my body, stopping at my chest. Imdiately, my hands flew to my chest, shielding it from his terrifying gaze.

I blinked, my eyes tearing up, my lips pulsing into a pout, ’this is what those female leads do in movies to get the male leads to give in to them, right?’ I tilted my head slowly, blinking non-stop at him.

"Stop that," he warned.

"Why?" My eyes drooped at him.

His lips tugged up slightly. "Because you look like a skeleton doing a butterfly dance." He deadpanned.
