1742 Do You Want An Imperial Harem For Yourself Too
If Long Yang said so, it must be true.
To think that she was na?ve enough to think that Yin’er only treated Xue’er as a younger sister. Xue’er was born sickly, which evoked in others a need to protect her. It did not occur to her that Yin’er was treating Xue’er as the opposite sex.
She massaged her forehead as she felt a headache. She was also feeling a little regretful about not educating Yin’er when he was younger about the cons of getting married to a family with close blood ties.
“You shouldn’t worry so much over this. Let’s just go with the flow.” Long Yang quickly comforted her when he saw how troubled she was.
“We can’t do that. If they really ended up together, aren’t you worried that our future grandchild would be ntally challenged?” Lu Liangwei asked.
Long Yang was taken aback. He pinched her cheek. “Why would you say sothing like that? There are so many marriages within families with close blood ties yet they didn’t produce any ntally challenged children. Our family can’t be that unlucky to be the one to have one, would we?”
Lu Liangwei smacked his hand away and said seriously, “I’m being serious. I’m not joking about this.”
“Then what can we do about it? We can’t really break them up, can we?” Long Yang felt quite helpless about this.
“It can’t really be considered breaking them up, could it? At most, Yin’er is the one interested in Xue’er, but Xue’er might not necessarily be interested in Yin’er. Besides, I think that Yin’er’s feelings for Xue’er might just only be at an early stage. As for Xue’er, she hasn’t noticed his feelings because she is still quite young.”
“You’re right, but isn’t it too early to be worrying about things?” Long Yang said with a laugh.
Lu Liangwei frowned. “It would be too late to worry when things have escalated to a point that cannot be turned back. Let ask you this, if you think the way Yin’er looks at Xue’er is different, what about the way he looks at Xinxin?”
Long Yang gave this so thought. “He naturally thinks of her as a younger sister. Although, I’ve only t Hexin a few tis, so I’m not entirely sure.”
Lu Liangwei glared at him in astonishnt when she heard this. “What do you an you’re not entirely sure?”
“Don’t you know how your son can be? Most people who try to get close to him would only be treated coldly.”
Li Liangwei was stunned. “Are you saying that Yin’er likes Xinxin too?”
“Maybe,” Long Yang replied. “Although, he is still young and he probably hasn’t figured out what he really wants.”
Lu Liangwei said with slight worry, “Even though I don’t want Yin’er to have any thoughts on Xue’er, I don’t want him to be a two-tir either.” What difference would he be from a womanizing scumbag?
Long Yang gave pause. “Weiwei, there’s nothing bad about that.”
Lu Liangwei glared at him. “What do you an?”
“Yin’er is the future Emperor of Great Shang, after all. If he wants an imperial harem, there is nothing wrong about it,” Long Yang said with reason.
This upset Lu Liangwei. “I think this is what you really want, isn’t it? Do you want an imperial harem for yourself too?”
Long Yang choked and grabbed her fingers to say. “I’m already at this age. Why would I want sothing like that? Besides, if I wanted an imperial harem, things wouldn’t be this way now.”
Lu Liangwei said unhappily when she heard his words, “What’s wrong with things being this way? Are you regretting it?”
Long Yang was speechless.
He could not understand how he was implicated in this situation.
However, he knew that he must have angered her when he saw how furious she was. He leaned in toward her and hugged her. “Things are wonderful right now and it’s what I really want. I’m very happy with everything. All I wanted to say was that if I had wanted an imperial harem, I wouldn’t have shut it down back then. I had no plans for it then and I won’t have plans for it now.”
This cheered up Lu Liangwei slightly. She darted him a look. “If that’s the case, why would you be fine with Yin’er having an imperial harem?”
