Ray didn’t speak to throughout yesterday. I tried everything possible to get him to tell what was wrong with him, but he refused to do that. Fan suggested I ask Sky what the problem was, but I can’t seem to find Sky.
I checked the infirmary for him, but none of the teachers claid they saw him. It was as if he just disappeared without a trace.
I strode down the hall for breakfast. Ray is still sulking in the room, so I intend to get so snacks for him. I would have stayed back in our room to keep him company, but I know we will die of hunger should I do that.
"Strawberry!"
I turned, already aware of who it was that called . Storm sat on the sa table he has always sat on with his friend. He waved when he noticed my stare.
I sighed. I have half the mind to ignore him and continue to the table Ray and I sit on most of the ti. But I turned at the last minute and headed over to his table.
As today is Sunday, none of the students are putting on school wears. They all wore their house clothes. Storm is putting on a black hoodie, which he paired off with brown shorts. His black hair looked like sothing he ran his hand through countless tis.
I’m putting on the only orange shirt I have, which I paired off with blue shorts. I didn’t bother to comb my hair because I’m just too lazy to do that.
"Hi."
I sat on the empty chair next to him and turned to his friend, who was staring at as if he hadn’t seen before.
I blushed as my mind returned to the scene in Storm’s bedroom. Could it be that he’s thinking of that?
"Theo!" Storm hissed under his breath.
"Oh!" Theo chuckled. "Forgive , Brys. I was just carried away by your beauty. Trust on this, I haven’t t an Oga more — ouch!" He glared at Storm.
"Keep your mouth shut for once, will you?" He glared at his friend. "Get my breakfast for — the usual. Get so for Strawberry here."
Theo turned to , "what will you like, Straw—"
Storm shot him a dark glare. Though I wasn’t the one the glare was directed at, it still froze my blood.
"Well, I will be back!" He hastened over to the cooks’ stalls to get breakfast.
"I’m sorry about him. Theo is just... Playful." Storm shrugged, "he’s not used to keeping his mouth shut even if it kills him."
I chuckled, not only at his words but the expression on his face. It was comical.
"Hmm," I nodded, not knowing what to do or say.
"What of your friend? Why isn’t he here with you?" He joined both of his hands.
"Well...." I trailed off, not knowing whether I should tell him about Ray or let it be. "Well, he’s —"
"Storm!" The sa Oga, I saved with Ray, hastened over to the table. Compared to how she was when we brought her in, life has returned to her skin. Her skin isn’t as white as it was that night.
She has her hair tied up in a ponytail. It wasn’t so tight — a few of her hair cascaded down her face. She’s putting on a red polo which she paired off with black shorts, which were so short, they showed off her creamy thighs.
Well, today is Sunday like I said earlier. Else, she would have answered the teachers for wearing such provocative shorts.
She sat on Storm’s left without waiting to be asked. "You didn’t visit as you promised. I stayed in my dorm, hoping you will co to visit, but you didn’t." She pouted, looking more like a clown —don’t ask.
I wrinkled my nose at how shrill her voice is.
Storm pinched the bridge of his nose, "it’s still early, Mara. What do you want?" He sounded tired.
It made wonder who the female Oga is. This isn’t the first ti I have seen her around him. At first, I thought she was his sister, however, they don’t look alike. And not only that but his behaviour towards her doesn’t seem that brotherly.
There is no way he will be this indifferent to her if she’s his sister.
"I was sick, and you couldn’t even bother to take care of ?" She snapped. "How can you be this heartless?"
"How can you be careless?" Storm glared at her. He looked like he was monts from strangling her. His eyes twitched, and his iris got darker. "What were you doing out there at that ti?"
"I was taking a walk!" She touched his hand, "don’t be mad at , okay?"
He removed her hand from his and frowned. "It’s your health, you alone can take care of it."
I grinned at the shocked expression on her face. It pleased to know that Storm doesn’t like being touched by her.
I turned when I caught a familiar mass of golden hair. "Sky!" I called out to the Beta I have been searching for since yesterday.
He turned when I called. The mont he sighted , he waved with a smile. However, the smile in them disappeared when he locked behind .
He waved at before he turned and left the cafeteria, confusing the hell out of . What’s wrong with him?
Is he having the sa problem with Ray? Are they going through the sa thing?
With him gone, I turned towards Storm and the female Oga. The dark expression on Storm’s face scared . His blue eyes have gone completely golden.
"Storm, what’s wrong?" The female Oga beat to the question. She placed a palm on his hand and squeezed. "Are you okay?"
Storm didn’t imdiately remove her hand from his. He turned to look at her.
I stared at her hand which she placed on his, and my blood grew cold. I felt this urge to rip her hair off her skull. Wait a minute, why am I having such thoughts?
I turned my face to the side, to calm my racing heart. Why do I feel this strong urge to hit her for touching him?
I clenched my fists and forced a smile as I tried to understand what the hell was wrong with .
Storm has yet to remove her hand from his, and it made wonder if sothing is going on between them. I glanced at him, but he had his entire attention on her.
"You are still sick, you shouldn’t be walking around the halls of the school. I will ask Theo to send your breakfast to you." He said in a more gentle tune, stunning .
Where was the Storm who snapped at her just now?
He turned to look at . His eyes have returned to blue, however, the dark expression on his face is still there.
Theo approached our table with a frown on his face. Just like , his eyes imdiately went to their joined hands. He dropped the tray on the table before he sat down.
"Here, you can have my breakfast." Storm took one of the wrapped doughnuts from the tray. He unwrapped it before he passed it to her. "Here, you can have a bite, it’s delicious."
I glared at them. Not only did Storm give the food to her, but he wiped the side of her mouth with a tissue.
I tried to take a bite of my doughnut, but it proved to be a hard task. I bit the inside of my cheeks as I tried not to look at them, but it was difficult.
I dropped the doughnut and rose from my chair.
Storm turned to look at , but he didn’t say a word.
"I’m leaving!" I turned and hastened out of the cafeteria, infuriated by what I just witnessed.
