I gulped, "Friends?"
"Of course, Brys! An oga like you is worthy of being friends with your principal. Don’t you think so?" He grinned, looking more and more like the predator I terd him as.
The subtle scent of lemon coming from him is a bit soothing, but I can’t tell what it is about him that scares . His smiles made it seem like there were thousands of insects crawling on my arms.
Could it be because he’s the principal? I think my mind fears the fact that he holds our future in his hands. Just a word from him can crush my future into dust.
"What’s so special about , sir? I’m just an ordinary Oga. Others are stronger and more unique than I am. Why did you choose ?"
Aside from the fact that I happened to be from another planet, nothing is interesting about . I’m rely a student who once had dreams of being a librarian because of my love for books.
There is absolutely nothing special about .
"Oh, you don’t know half of it, Brys." He walked towards and sat on the couch with . It’s a wonder he never sits on his hair, despite how long it is. "You are special, don’t you ever doubt that." He placed a palm on my shoulder, scaring out of my bones.
I had to bite back a yelp. My body shook, and my teeth clattered. I have never felt so afraid in my entire life.
"Don’t be afraid of , Brys." He leaned down so we were nose to nose. "I like you, and I hope we can be friends. I don’t bite," he smiled, "Unless you let ."
My breath hitched in my throat, and I gulped. How exactly did I end up in such a position with him?
He rose from the couch, "I won’t delay you any more. Off you go. It was nice chatting with you. I hope we do it again."
I didn’t wait for him to complete his words before I dashed towards the door, eager to leave his room behind.
"Tomorrow, by 5. et in the garden at the Alpha’s dorm."
His words stopped dead in my tracks. I slowly turned to face him. "Pardon?" My mouth shook a bit.
Certainly, he’s not asking for a eting, is he? I peered at him, afraid of being asked to et again.
"Let’s take a walk there tomorrow. Don’t be late, Brys." He winked at before he turned his back to , and focus on the window.
"Okay." I gulped before I opened the door, and stepped out of his room. I plastered myself to the door as my heartbeat picked up pace.
It sounded like drums being played, especially during a parade. I placed a palm on my heart to calm down. It was just a eting with the new principal, but it felt like I just visited hell.
"Brys!"
I turned at the sound of my na. "Fan? Is that you?" I squinted as I tried to make certain my eyes weren’t deceiving .
"Of course! Shocked, right?" He twirled in the air before he turned to face .
Gone are the wings and the tail. Fan now looked like a teenage boy. His hair is as black as the night, and his eyes seed so golden, they looked like embers.
He has discarded the coat he loves wearing, for a pair of clothes that suspiciously looked like mine. I gave the blue shirt and black shorts a glare before I placed my hands on my waist. "Where did you get those clothes from?"
"Where else?" He giggled. "I got it from your wardrobe. You are my host. What is yours, is mine." He winked.
I felt this urge to knock him on the head, but I restrained myself from doing so. Instead, I glanced down the corridor to be certain we weren’t being watched before I took his hand in mine and dragged him towards the exit.
I didn’t say a word until we were back in my room. Ray is still at the infirmary with Sky. I don’t know about Storm. I last saw him when he escorted to the teachers’ hostel.
"What happened to you?" I turned to Fan, eager to know about his change.
It’s not every day that you see your stupid system grow from a talking animal to a teenage boy.
"You passed one of your tests." He giggled as he sat on my bed.
"My tests? And that is?" I folded my arms and narrowed my eyes at him. "Last I checked, I wasn’t given any tests. And the ones I got weren’t done. I defied the orders."
The marks I got from the canning might have disappeared, but it doesn’t an I’ve forgotten about it.
He grinned, "you weren’t at Storm’s neck these past two days. And you even thanked him. I guess the closer you get to him, the more you progress." He crossed his right leg over his left, "right now, I can do more things to help you with —in this form. It’s all left to you to either pass your tests and progress with or be stuck in a stage."
I rolled my eyes at him. "I was only good to Storm because he helped . If not —"
My door got opened, and a pissed Ray stord into the room. He looked infuriated, and his pheromones seed to be out of control.
Just a minute in the room was all it took for the entire room to be flooded with the scent of pineapple. It slled as if we had a pineapple party here.
"Ray?" I hastened over to him. "What’s wrong with you?" I tried to touch him but slapped my hand off his arm.
"Don’t touch !" He growled at before he walked over to his bed, and plopped down on it.
I exchanged glances with Fan, who looked as confused as I was. "Ray? Are you okay?" I took a step towards his bed, afraid he might bite my head off if I didn’t approach him with caution.
"No," he sniffed. "I’m not bloody okay!" He growled.
"What happened?" I stopped three feet from his bed. "What’s wrong?"
"Asked that damned Sky!"
"Sky?" I blinked. "What did he do?"
"Nothing." He sniffed, "I just need to rest." He turned his back to and covered his body with his blanket. "Don’t wake up, I’m not in the mood to have dinner."
I sighed.
This was the first ti I had seen him mad. It made wonder what Sky must have said to him, to cause such a reaction from him.
I turned to Fan and shrugged. "I guess it’s that ti of the month."
