Zylus, damaged, lay on the crusted stone below, as the moon continued to glare at the duel between him and a top-five.

"I’ve never seen a demon quite like you, you know that?" Mordain declared intriguingly, "Even though you look weird, it didn’t make you much stronger-"

"Idiot," Zylus appeared behind him, "don’t take this so gently." He whispered in his ear, Zylus bent over to the side of Mordain, both of them looking in opposite directions, but only one of them had the advantage.

And before Mordain could say anything, "I’ve never enjoyed killing soone until today." Zylus whispered as he slapped Mordin right across the face, sending him to the ground.

Bam!

"Rule number five," Mordain hit the ground. It was clear he did, but for so reason, he bounced back up, like a balloon was waiting for him to fall. "Never underestimate ."

Mordain then put his hand in a flicking motion, as Zylus steadily backed away.

swoosh!

If that were to hit Zylus, it would’ve been wraps, considering how that one also repelled his attacks.

"You don’t get it yet?" Mordain asked, "Any attack you hit, I’ll repel. You’re weak, that’s why I offered you to join ."

Both of them glanced at each other, slightly further from one another, but one thought that still tingled in Zylus’ mind was how Mordain was able to bounce back up rapidly, like a bed blasting you forward from the cushion.

And so, Zylus stayed in one position, trying to think. At this point, FBDT (False Body Deception Technique) wouldn’t function properly because it would just get deflected.

The two knights that Zylus sliced off were still on the floor, unconsciously trying to catch their last breaths before their inevitable deaths.

"If you won’t co to ," Mordain grinned, "I’ll bring you here."

Bang! Zylus got pushed upward, fifty ters into the air, moving rapidly forward, in perfect motion to Mordain. Sothing pushed Zylus that felt warm, soft, but deadly. It was that sa indescribable affect that Mordain pushed himself up with on impact with Zylus’s slap.

Zylus looked forward, realising he was floating forward into the air.

"Three..." Zylus waited a little bit to catch Mordain off guard.

"Two."

[Prepare Yourself!]

"One." Zylus calmly exhaled, intently staring at Mordain’s facial expression, "False: Body Deception Technique."

[Technique: False: Body Deception]

[Technique Status: Processing]

[Success: 99.9%]

Zylus adjusted his view to Mordain’s back, and as he teleported, he went for another slap to his face, but this ti, it ca on impact with one of Mordain’s barriers that surrounded him.

[Systemic Flow Decreased By 15%]

[Remaining Flow: 70%]

He still had enough remaining, but none of it mattered on the transition against Mordain. His Demonic Kin ability didn’t matter much either, because it didn’t use any systemic flow for so reason; it used Zylus’ emotion, which was taken from him. Fear.

And just then, Zylus felt a hit being deflected onto his face, one that hurt plenty.

"Feel that?" Mordain turned to gaze at Zylus’s angered expression, "That’s the result of your punches, and how much damage they deal."

It pained him, so Zylus intelligently backed off, not pursuing the barrier any further. He just wanted clarification of the effects of Mordain’s barriers and how much damage they reflect to the person who hit it.

It was clear now, it repelled, all of it.

"I see," Zylus proclaid, "well, not too bad."

Mordain crackled, "Don’t you think?" He said exquisitely, "and so people are over here thinking that I’ve gotten weaker. It’s almost preposterous, blasphemous, comical, ridiculous, absurd, ludicrous, droll, farcical," he said in quick succession, taking a quick break to catch his breath, "It’s an embarrassnt. I hold more significance to this realm than that good-for-nothing ever would."

Zylus began giggling, slightly enjoying the mont as he peered into Mordain’s moral dilemma. It wasn’t a case of whether or not Mordain was arrogant; it was clear he could back it off. But to Zylus, this ant nothing.

"Still laughing, I see," Mordain stretched his gloves backwards, "It’s almost laudable."

"Oh, is it?" Zylus questioned, as he picked himself forward, stretching his back and beginning to jump side to side. "Look to your right."

Mordain, in quick succession, looked, and both guards, the ones he didn’t care about, were now dead. Off of bloodloss.

And the screen displayed exactly what Zylus wanted to see, ’Connection.’

[Connection]

Zylus grinned, opening both arms wide, "I bet you’ve never seen a Human and Demon rge, have you now?"

Zylus asked, glaring maliciously at Mordain, almost like he had the advantage.

"A weakling? Don’t bring up those pitiful humans inside my domain." Mordain disgusted, spat on the floor, as if the sound of ’human’ was a disgrace to his ntal well-being.

"But a human is about to beat you..." Zylus paused, tapping on his jaw as he smashed his katana below, "Well, a half-human."

"You’re half?" Mordain asked, interested, he began stepping forward, "I despise you guys."

Zylus crackled once more, "That’s sick. The very thing you despise will be what kills you. Cool, don’t you think?" Zylus raised the tone of his voice as he walked forward towards Mordain as well, "I know exactly what you’re capable of."

"What is it?" By the tone of Mordain’s voice, Zylus clearly had hit a nerve.

"Barrier Domain." Zylus’s words stunned the person who was renowned as the fifth strongest, "Oh yeah, that look tells all there is to know."

"Even if you know it," Mordain whispered, opening his arms wide, "you can’t beat it!"

Then, he put an arm out, "Technique: Classification-Demonic: Enrap."

And just like that, Zylus suddenly went breathless.

Zylus grinned, choking slightly, "uhhh," he tried speaking, but it was almost like gravity held him in place, "Y-you’re..."

"I’m what?" Mordain grinned, applauding, his gloves gave out a sweet scent of raspberry.

Zylus gazed at him with only his right eye, closing the other.

"You’re dead."
