Rilik grinned, "With who’s always guarding her in public and during the course behind the shadows, I doubt it."

Zylus stepped back, "That’s enough." He murmured, "Are we allowed to use our systems here?"

"No," Rilik answered, "Mordain would be able to sense our flow, so it wouldn’t matter, not at all."

"I see," Zylus added, "how do we check the ti?"

"I just morised the intervals when it becos night and day," Rilik pointed at the stone wall across from the bars, "these scratches show whenever it becos night and day."

Rilik stared intensely at them, "So, it’s seven in the afternoon right now, from this right here."

He studied a scratch crossed with three lines, a weird signal that provided enough information for him to detect the difference between sunlight and night. Whether it was a myth or a miracle, it was sothing valuable.

"Rilik Scorce," a guard ca by, pitifully staring at him, "your turn to go in."

He got up, slightly taller than Zylus, but it was his muscle mass that carried the indifference between them both.

"Already?" He got up, walking to the bars, his shackles tightened suddenly, "Hurry the fuck up, these next bit of coins are going to my family."

Click!

The door slid open, then slap!

"Do not talk to as if we are friends, you inferior peasant." The guard demanded, as he slapped Rilik across his face, "Follow , and don’t speak. Your task has already been made, and today is the day of your execution."

"Don’t I just need to survive to continue fighting in here?" Rilik asked.

The guard slapped him again, "I said, do not speak! But that’s if you survive against our executioner." The guard grinned under the tal armor that made a silhouette around his body.

The guard slamd the cell shut so that Zylus wouldn’t be able to do anything.

"Haven’t seen you around," the knight said, "but you’re the new candidate that Harold told about. You look small, but you’re next, prepare."

Zylus looked nacingly towards him, "Watch my duel when the ti begins. Give it ten seconds, no more, no less." He said, as the guard shook that statent off and walked away, dragging Rilik from the tal shackles in the process.

Rilik waved a final wave of good bye, as if this was it for him.

Zylus took the mont to lie on the bed, "This shit is crustier than ever."

Echoes ran through the halls as the steps beca more apparent, "open!" The guard up with Rilik declared, as tombstones slid open, the night sky poured inside, but it was brighter than what the cell had to offer.

Zylus peeked through the bars. "Just how many people are watching?"

The interior of the arena was visible, and it was a crowd that looked like tens of thousands of Demons, anxiously watching the duels. Rilik looked up towards the moon.

And in that mont, he got dragged again, as the shackles on his hands began dispersing slowly.

"Let’s go!"

"Co on!"

"Yeahhhhhhh!"

The crowd let out exciting screams, as if this was the mont they had been waiting for the entire ti.

"Welco, the royal killer," the codian above whispered into the microphone. "Rilik Scorce!"

The crowd cheered, even amongst the na, they still celebrated his appearance.

"Shouldn’t they be booing, considering his na?" Zylus wondered out loud, "It’s whatever."

The codian sat on the highest level of the arena, covered in glass, and a shiny barrier surrounded not just him, but a man elegantly dressed in a green suit beside him.

"Who do you think will win today?!" The codian asked what looked to be the crowd, "Mr. Fifth!"

The crowd went wild, hearing that na seed as though he was beloved by the entirety of everyone who sat or stood, a hand held on each of their chests in respect.

Bam!

The stone boulder slid back together. Zylus grinned.

"So, that’s him," he added, smashing into the stone, "Mordain Avaris. Mr. Fifth? More like the top five."

He seed strong, even towards Zylus, but he didn’t believe he could take him on with his full power. Not at all, honestly, he was very confident in the ability he held.

Once the boulders closed shut, the sound disappeared, and the cells around Zylus were filled with individuals who looked dead in life.

Two guards walked in with a torch tightened in their palms, keeping an eye on the prisoners, and for so reason, specifically this one cell.

Then, they moved towards Zylus’s cell, walking with a ration of bread, a grain of it honestly, one so tiny, it would be pointless for him to even taste it.

"Take this," they threw it perfectly into his cell. Zylus caught it with his right hand. "So ugly you need to wear a mask?"

They giggled, a tingle climbed onto Zylus’s skin, and he felt slightly enraged, clearly baited by them.

Slam!

Zylus slamd onto the bars, looking both of them dead in the eye, beneath their tal guarding masks.

"I don’t need it," he grinned, throwing the ration back towards them, perfectly in the area where they weren’t guarded.

This area was between the top of the neck and the bottom of their hips; a perfect throw would’ve done so damage, given how stale the piece of bread was.

"How!" The guards who had been affected by it raged, "Dare you!"

"Calm down," the other one stepped in, "look at him. Just don’t give him food, he looks like he’s about to die either way."

Zylus grinned, one that the guards couldn’t see, as his mask was one.

"0100," soone else walked by, not including the guards, but he wore the sa fit as them, with a blue scarf around his tal armor, and he pointed at Zylus.

"Na’s Noelle."

"I don’t care," he looked at his sheet of paper, "your duel has been prepared, hurry up, or you die."

The other two guards walked away as this one walked through them. They whispered to each other, covering their mouths with their hands continuously.

And it was clearly directed towards Zylus.
