What he wanted from Klyde was the sa thing he wanted from every researcher and scientist he planned to help.
"I’ll help you reach the top, so when you’re there, I want you to help as well. I approached you for your skills and what I want is your skills. Nothing more, nothing less."
Obviously, Klyde didn’t randomly decide to put all his faith in the little boy sitting next to him, but that was beside the point.
"I won’t make anything that I don’t want to make and I won’t do anything I don’t want to do."
"Everything I want you to do is probably sothing you’d want to do anyway."
Klyde looked at him for a second before sighing and shrugging.
"Fine. I don’t believe you can help much, but if you really do sohow manage to do what nobody else could, then I’ll give you what you want."
Trust could be developed over ti. Just like Raymond, as long as Klyde was willing to bet on the possibility, Gio could handle the rest.
"Perfect," he replied with a smile.
Gio didn’t actually have any evidence on Anastasia. He just knew for a fact that she was an imposter.
"For now, I’ll just take your number. I’m not supposed to be here to begin with, so I don’t want to stay for too long. When’s a good ti for to call you?"
"Whenever," Klyde responded.
"I’ll be here, so just call."
"Right, well, try not to be too conspicuous these next few days. If you get thrown out for stalking her before you find any real evidence, everything will be ruined."
That was the case last ti. Because Klyde was so focused on his single-minded approach, he could never find the evidence he needed before he was either exposed or thrown out for being a nuisance.
With Gio by his side, those habits would slowly change.
’And he had the nerve to tell he wasn’t that bad.’
The past Klyde, who’d proudly reclaid his original na and beco a top expert once his theories were proven true, was insistent that he wasn’t as bad as people said he was.
Clearly, he was lying. The man looked like he was having trouble deciding to stop for a few days, but after Gio pressed him a little harder, he finally relented.
’Finding evidence...it shouldn’t be too hard. She’s being cautious because he’s been so obvious, but if he lays off for a while, she should go back to her usual activities.’
The current Anastasia had only recently incorporated herself into human society in the past few years. She still needed guidance from higher powers that helped her properly adapt.
’At so point, she’ll have to et with an envoy of so sort. She isn’t actually a genius, so she needs soone to give her orders that make her look like a genius on the outside.’
Over ti, she would absorb what she learned and beco the genius she was pretending to be. That was when she’d truly ld into humanity.
Gio left the sa way he entered, praying that Klyde would follow through on his promise.
’It’s probably better for to check up on him every once in a while to make sure he’s actually being patient.’
’I’m also technically in danger now that I’ve interacted with him...’
By the ti he was on the street and walking back to the car, he could already feel two people following him.
Compared to the Wilds, the city of Helix was a much calr environnt. Hostility and killing intent didn’t fill the air and the environnt wasn’t drenched in the blood of endless battle. The senses he trained in that environnt were heightened imnsely in a place like this.
’They probably want to rough up a little to warn him.’
They were waiting for him to reach a less crowded area to jump on him.
’But, life isn’t always fair.’
Gio smiled and stood on the side of the street. Within seconds, the driver brought his car over and let him into the backseat.
At the very least, in Helix, Gio’s backing was stronger than most people.
The last thing he had to worry about on these streets was petty thugs aiming for his life.
"Take back."
He gave the driver the location and they started moving imdiately.
’I wish there was more for to do, but Helix isn’t that important of a city. Everyone important who cos through here is only passing by.’
Klyde was important and eventually Gio would have to get in contact with so other people in the Underground Research Society, but his main targets were all in or around Celestelle.
Celestelle wasn’t the capital of the Polestar Federation, but it was the federation’s most populated city and the one everyone thought of first. The First Institute was located in Celestelle, as were the headquarters of many of the biggest conglorates and clans in Arcadia.
’I’ll be in Arcadia tomorrow night,’ Gio thought to himself.
’So for tonight and tomorrow, I’ll just spend ti at ho.’
He’d only just arrived in Arcadia. His family was still sowhat foreign to him.
The only way to change that was with ti.
And he planned to give all the ti in the world to make sure the relationship they built was a beautiful one.

It was a wonder if Nightreign would have reached its current status if it weren’t for the pure ease of access provided by its unique spatial systems.
The convenience Gio felt from being able to travel without leaving his room was truly imnse. In Helix, when the ti ca for him to et Farrah, it was well past midnight.
Everyone else in the house was asleep aside from the servants and guards who had night duties. Still, sneaking out of this mansion was impossible.
Nevertheless, when the ti ca, Gio was able to reach the eting place. His plans certainly wouldn’t have been able to progress as quickly if it weren’t for Nightreign.
Gio looked around when he arrived at the market, moving through the busy crowds with his face masked until he found Farrah.
She stood out like a sore thumb. Amidst all of the masked figures in the market, she was the only one whose face he could see clearly.
She had pale white skin and round-frad glasses. Her eyes and hair were both a shade of orange similar to the sunset, and from beneath the collar of her shirt, one could see a tattoo creeping up her neck.
’That’s an unmistakable look for sure.’
She may have been bragging when she told him to look her up, but she wasn’t wrong to feel confident. She was more than just a well-known figure. She was an advocate that breached the gap between ordinary people and the most cutting-edge science and technology.
She was calmly scrolling through tabs on her holowatch before she felt the presence approaching her. When she looked up, her eyes fell on a boy no taller than her chest.
"You must be him, then," she said with a grin.
Seeing his nod, she flicked her head to the side and led him away.
"Let’s get started as soon as possible. I don’t have ti to waste."
