There was a certain sensation that ca with each drop of qi that fell from the sky to the earth.

Every drop nourished the dry and arid ground in Atlas' dantian, bringing life to the lifeless land. Even the tree sprouting in the middle started to react, growing and dancing in the rain.

That was the original purpose of the Law Sea Realm.

When the process ended, the earth would crack into pieces and float away into continents. The sky would gain an atmosphere, and seas would populate the world.

By the ti one ford a World Core, one was ant to create a world that could truly sprout life.

Now, that statent was an exaggeration used by cultivators, but it wasn't entirely a false hope. In a hypothetical situation where all variables perfectly worked together, it was possible for real plants to sprout from the earth.

And, when one beca an Immortal and later a God, the potential of the dantian would only increase.

For the current Atlas, the Immortal Realms and God Realms were foreign concepts. The Immortals and Gods he knew would never explain them to him. The path of Mortal Cultivation was one he'd traversed before, and though he did it differently this ti, everything was mostly familiar.

The qi of his dantian responded so actively that he wondered if he was holding himself back more than he ever realized.

This kind of focused cultivation wasn't originally ant to involve comprehending the Dao, but why did Atlas feel like the different qi signatures of the Daos he practiced were becoming clearer?

Atlas tried to cultivate whenever he had ti, but he still didn't focus on it as much as he needed to. In this life, it felt like cultivating had beco a ans to an end when it used to be the entire goal and purpose of his existence.

It was a different feeling, but he couldn't say if it was necessarily good or bad. It was a change and nothing more.

What truly mattered was that the feeling of cultivating never changed.

The refreshing yet painstaking process of perfecting oneself was extrely addictive. Atlas was already addicted to it, reveling in the feeling of growth and improvent.

He continued like that until his mind sank completely into the world of his body. The concepts of ti and responsibility faded into the background as he entered a flow state.

Only the movent of qi was visible to his eyes. Only its functions as it lded into his body and beca his was felt by his skin.

As more and more drops were liquefied, the sensation beca larger. It spread from his dantian to the rest of his body, slowly increasing the scope of change.

With every passing second, Atlas improved without stalling. Those improvents were minor on an individual scale, but they compiled into real growth.

Ten drops, one hundred drops, five hundred drops…

Atlas continued all the way until he'd liquefied one thousand drops of qi. He felt his progress slowing down, but he tried to keep going as best as he could.

Well, he tried his best until he was shocked out of his ditative state. Explore more stories at My Virtual Library Empire

Bzzt!

A vibration ca from his chest. His eyes shot open and his hand shot to that location, locating the talisman he stuffed there specifically so he wouldn't miss when it went off.

"Huu…"

Atlas cald his mind and eased the circulation of his qi until it reached a stable and balanced state.

Naturally, he wasn't anywhere near a breakthrough after only a few days of secluded cultivation, but that didn't an progress wasn't made.

Atlas could say for certain that his energy looked different. The appearance of his dantian was more than enough confirmation.

The previously dry earth was now littered with lakes and rivers. Only around one thousand drops of qi had been liquefied, yet it was already starting to feel like this world contained vitality.

The qi that flowed through Atlas' veins was much stronger now. It was purer and denser, so even when the sa amount of qi was used, it had much more impact.

Most importantly was the change Atlas felt in his mind and soul. Again, it couldn't be called anything too significant, but he could feel his existence being elevated.

For a re five days of cultivating, it was great progress.

And, though he figured that he could make even more progress if he continued, he wasn't mad about being interrupted.

How could he be? The person contacting him was the one he wanted to hear from most.

A communication line with Aeon was established through the talismans almost the instant she contacted him.

"Quite excited, are you?"

She smiled as she addressed him. Her situation wasn't anywhere near as dangerous as it was before, but the details didn't need to be explained. In the end, Aeon ca out victorious and her enemies t their graves.

She had already moved past that conflict anyway.

"I sent soone to scope out your island. It will be a difficult journey for you, but perhaps for different reasons than the ones you are expecting."

Hearing such words, Atlas didn't know whether it was a good thing or a bad thing, but he didn't ask her to elaborate. He would learn more when he arrived.

"It may be difficult, but does that change anything?"

"If you are the cultivator I believe you are, then it does not."

"Exactly."

Aeon shook her head wryly. She could tell that Atlas was filled with too much anticipation to actually entertain unrelated conversations.

"It's a big island as you said, and there is more than enough space for you to traverse without encountering the Cyclopes. You won't be entirely safe even then, but you should be able to keep your life if you are careful. I will personally go there later today and set up a portal. Afterward…"

It was a bit complicated to explain, but the end result was easier to understand. Essentially, Aeon said she would send an "Avatar" down to the lower floors to set the connecting portal up for him.

Avatars were a new concept. The way she described it almost made it seem like Immortals could descend at any opportunity if they just created Avatars, but that wasn't true. Rather, Aeon only needed to use an Avatar because she had special circumstances that didn't allow her to move.

After all, she could enter any Neutral Zone as she pleased. If she created the connecting portal sowhere like Vanatos, then there wasn't any problem like that.

Aeon couldn't allow her qi to be sensed anywhere else at the mont. However, if her qi ca from an Avatar and her main body remained on the upper floors, she could even benefit from helping Atlas.

"Choose a Neutral Zone. That will also be land when you return, so choose it wisely."

It may have been more difficult for others, but Atlas didn't have to think very hard about it.

"I will choose Minora."

Right, Minora, not Vanatos.

Because even though Vanatos was like a second ho to him, with the current movents of the Azure Dragon Clan, he couldn't call Vanatos very safe anymore. Alaric even specifically told him to not associate with the clan for so ti until things cald down.

Aeon didn't know of his circumstances, but she only needed to know his choice.

"Very well. I will et you in Minora in three days."

In only three more days, Atlas could take another step on his journey.

He was ecstatic, to say the least.
