Chapter Sixty-Seven

’All this damn while, it is with Aht!’ she almost yelled to herself.

The octopus plan detailed a secret underwater route for smuggling valuable goods, such as diamonds, gold, and rare artifacts.

Now, the organization that employed this route had lost the man in command of it, and it appeared that he did not inform any of his mbers how the operation was carried out.

Gideon knew who had drawn the sche. Even though they had killed the architect, Gideon was capable of recovering items even if they were from the grave.

Those who had sent the commander with these items knew how much was stuck in there and contacted the organizations for help. Now, everyone knew about it and wanted to keep it for themselves... including herself and Aht. Now, they all needed a thod to claim the items, even though they didn’t belong to any of them.

They all knew who to turn to. Gideon.

However, Gideon seed to be selling it to the Mafia boss with the Highest bidding. But so of the Mafias decided to kill him so no one gets the plan if they were not going to get it themselves.

Aht on the other hand knew how much to bid, his being higher than those who were willing to bid, and ended up with the plan.

He raised his eyebrows at her who was angrily pacing the room. She would have stolen it if she knew it was in this room last night.

She needed the plan and he wasn’t going to give it to her freely. This was going to be a huge problem.

Was she protecting Gideon for nothing? She had to get so paynts for doing that. Would Aht share whatever he found underground?

Should she seduce him? He’d clearly know what her intentions were. She was already limping if he had touched her, would she not have ended up in the ER?

Most importantly, she hadn’t even mastered the act of seduction yet. The funny part was, he was teaching her. This whole thing between them started off from that.

Threatening him wasn’t going to work. What would?

"The plan was never with Gideon, Asli." Aht decided to free her from her thoughts.

"What?" She was more than shocked to realize Gideon never had the plan. Why would anyone claim to have sothing that would kill them when they didn’t?

"I drew that plan... myself." He revealed and she almost laughed. If Aht drew that plan then he could draw a whole future for all Mafias. Was the plan not drawn by the wisest and oldest man on this planet? This didn’t make any sense.

"How?" She only managed to say.

"My secret." He replied and she rolled her eyes. Why did he say anything if he wasn’t going to tell her the whole truth?

Was he even telling the truth? Had she even ever believed him before?

"Did you kill him?" She ant the man smuggling the goods. Did it matter?

"No." He simply answered but she didn’t care about that answer. She just wanted real answers. How was he the one who drew that plan? If truly he did, then he was behind most of the layouts they were working with.

Also, if he had the plan and knew the plan, had he gone for everything?

"Have you transported everything?" She finally asked. It was all she needed to know. She was not going to fight for a lost cause anymore.

"Not telling." He responded.

If no one knew his place except her and if the octopus plan was here, who could tell the other important things here?

Excitent crept inside her. She had co here without any plan of raiding the house but see how lucky she was?

Aht saw right through her and he would love to see her try whatever that was going through that beautiful head of hers.

He went into the wardrobe to pick a shirt. He continued to dress up. "Call when you need . Will be back." he didn’t say when and she nodded.

How stupid of him to leave her alone in there. She noticed he had carried the plan away but she started looking everywhere. Even though his underwear.

When dawn ca, she was already tired of searching as she didn’t find anything useful. Was this why he left her here without any worry?

There must be a secret room. Now she started to look for it and any possible way of opening it.

She must’ve fallen asleep when the door opened. She woke up and saw Aht who stood by the doorway looking angrily at her.

She checked the ti and it was four in the morning. It was the next morning and she hadn’t even found anything. She didn’t care if he was angry or not. He shouldn’t have left her alone in there.

"What’s the aning of this?" Maybe Aht knew she would do sothing like this but not exactly as turning the whole room upside down.

He hated ssy rooms and places. Even when he killed people, he liked a clean job. Not just about making sure the target was down but literally making sure the place was clean before he tortured his victims. His victims were even clean before he touched them.

This, he looked around the room again. He hated this and she didn’t even look scared or look like she was regretting it. She didn’t look like she cared he saw what she had done.

He was going to punish her. Asli saw the shift in his eyes and she swallowed the lump in her throat. There was sothing about that that intrigued her.

He backed away from the doorway, his gaze stuck on her. The air was thick with tension as he approached her, his strides intentional.

She stood still, and her heart beat with eagerness. She realized she was in trouble. Snooping about his room and making a ss... she had crossed a line.

As he approached, his face was serene, but his eyes showed a trace of rage. He paused in front of her, his tall bulk looming over her.

Without saying anything, he reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her closer to him. She felt a sudden burst of energy when her body t with his.

Then his lips ca down on hers, seizing her mouth in a hard, punishing kiss. She had a rush of excitent mixed with worry as she attempted to grasp what was going on. Why was he kissing her?

As he kissed her, she felt her resistance fall apart. She had expected fury and punishnt, but not this. Not the all-consuming hunger that threatened to devour her.

She attempted to resist, to exert so control, but he was unstoppable. His lips devoured hers, and his tongue explored every corner of her mouth.

She felt herself becoming absorbed in the pleasure, her mind clouded with desire.

Just when she thought she couldn’t take it anymore, he pulled back, while his chest heaved with exertion. His eyes blazed with intensity as he stared at her, with his gaze burning with possession.

"Why did you snoop around my room when I left?" he demanded, his voice low and nacing.

She swallowed hard, trying to find her voice. "I... I was just curious," she stamred. Was she? How the hell was she even stamring?

He raised an eyebrow, his expression skeptical. "Curious?" he repeated. "You are not curious, you’re nosy. And nosy people get punished."
