Chapter Sixty-Six

He caught the finger that was poking him. "Let go of my finger." She told him.

"Should I? Asli." His voice got low and seductive. She swore she felt it vibrating in between her thighs.

It was as if her eyes were being compelled to look into his. She did not know when she had stopped breathing, but the mont she felt herself struggling, she realized then she had stopped breathing.

"Are you here to fight ? To accuse of sleeping with you?" His concerns were clearly heard in his tone.

Oh.

"I need a place to crash." She finally voiced out. Aht let out a loud laugh.

"Did your father kick you out? How generous of him." He teased and it took a while to notice he was joking.

"Yeah. How generous of him." Her tone was not playful because only she knew why she hated him. Or probably he knew and still...

She sighed. Being with Aht was like throwing her brains away. It did not make any sense that they wanted each other. If anyone had said this would happen between them months ago, she would have punished him or perhaps kept the person and tortured him for amusent. The person got to be the most hilarious human on earth.

Her eyes went back to him who stood there with eyebrows raised... still shirtless.

"Yes, I need a place to crash." She repeated what she said earlier.

"And what happened to your ho?" His tone was harsh.

"Open the garage doors and let leave then." Her tone was harsher while replying to him.

He sighed when he rembered Asli was not like any other woman and was specially to be dealt with. This was he trying to show his concern but apparently, she thought he was angry she was in his apartnt when she needed a place to crash.

"Did your father find out?" He asked while his eyes searched her body thoroughly.

"You didn’t tell anyone, did you?" She imdiately asked, fear creeping in.

"Yeah, I did. I announced it at the radio station. Maybe your father heard it from there." He was only joking, but fear engulfed her, and she took a few steps away from him... then many steps away.

"You would have been dead by now. My organization would be calling the minor family to take over because I failed them, Asli. You are not the only one who will lose sothing if anyone finds out." Aht’s tone sounded pained and she assud he was regretting what happened between them.

Sothing tucked at her heart but she tried not to be bothered by it.

"Nobody knows this place except... except you." He inford her and walked away from where he stood. "Feel free to stay here for as long as you want."

’How about the won you bring here.’ it was so close to escaping her lips. But she bit her tongue. He said she could stay there for as long as she wanted.

This was the first ti she had left ho. What was she going to do alone here? She stood there awkwardly for a while before walking out again.

Aht couldn’t believe she was leaving after he told her she was welco. He was fighting a battle within himself.

Earlier, when he had seen the sensor beeping after a car parked in front of his gate, he raised his head to see which car it was. When he saw the car was Asli’s, it had taken all his willpower not to run outside.

When he saw her, it took an extra strength to stay away from her. Then, he began to think she was back to fight him and to bla him for what they did. That stole the excitent from his body.

Then when she ntioned she needed a place to stay, he got defensive. He would have set her father’s Villa on fire if he had driven her out of it. But seeing she was looking okay... aside from her limping in, he was sure nobody had chased her out.

She also ca without any bag and the nagging feeling about her rushing out of the house and never returning nagged at him.

The door opened again and this ti, when he stood up from his chair, he could see the bag in her hand.

Was it relief or excitent? Or was it both? He felt them.

She threw the bag onto the sofa in the bedroom like she owned the place. He was impressed. He wanted her to own the room.

When he was telling her no one knew the place except her, he had lied. Markus knew the place. He wanted to avoid her being suspicious of him and Markus.

She was already suspicious of his cousin, which was predictable. If she knew he knew this place, it would definitely ruin the mood.

He was supposed to return ho imdiately but he guessed that could wait.

"Don’t touch these," Aht said out of the blue trying to have a conversation with her but she only eyed the docunts on the desk.

Asli on the other hand had not intended to but now that he ntioned, he was going to.

"Why do I feel like I just told you to do exactly that?" He spoke again.

"You talk a lot." She said before she could stop herself.

"Good to hear that. At least you know sothing about ." He joked while he continued to look through the sheets.

A drawing caught her attention. "You have the Octopus plan? Was it you Gideon sold the plan to?" Asli was furious.

The other Mafia bosses wanted to kill Gideon who managed to survive the last attack and was unconscious. They all knew he was good at stealing plans and selling them off to other Mafias.

The octopus plan was one of them, and both Asli and Aht wanted it, and it was why she was keeping him alive. She had saved him during the attack and he being in a coma was her showing him kindness.

Asli had gone to him to ask him to give her the plan before she burned his father’s Villa down. But he told her he had already sold it and before he could tell her who he sold it to, bullets began to fly around.
