If Mason heard that, Grayson Quinn could kiss his life goodbye.
Mason said, "She said she wants to chase all over again."
The words, that tone—he was practically terrified people might miss the fact he was showing off.
Grayson Quinn spluttered and then burst out laughing. "What’s Aurelia playing at this ti? Don’t tell she’s setting you up again?"
Mason frowned.
Grayson Quinn went on, "You really think this ti she sincerely wants to make up with you?"
"It’s not making up, it’s starting over," Mason corrected him.
He understood exactly what Aurelia Shaw was thinking.
No matter what had happened in their past life, he had ultimately hurt her. The two of them couldn’t reconcile, they could only start again.
It was just that... originally his plan was that he’d be the one to take the initiative, and he had already started doing that. He hadn’t expected her to end up thinking the sa way as him.
"You’re that sure?" Grayson Quinn drawled.

After a mont, Grayson Quinn added, "Brother Mason, any woman you’re willing to believe in, I’ll believe in too."
Mason gave a faint "mm" in his low voice. After a while, just when Grayson Quinn thought he was about to hang up, Mason’s voice suddenly sounded again: "If one day she really does make a move on , don’t worry about . Do everything you can to protect her safety."
Grayson Quinn froze for a second.
He knew exactly what Brother Mason was worried about.
There was too much tied up with Brother Mason. If anything ever happened to him, the president and the brothers in the unit would never let the killer go.
The politicians dragged into it would also vent their fury on the killer, hunting them down in secret.
Brother Mason’s injury this ti had been covered up, but it was obvious the president took it very seriously, just... didn’t seem inclined to pursue it.

Mason let out a low chuckle in his throat. "I’ll treat you to a drink when I’m back."
"You’re not getting rid of with just one drink," Grayson Quinn said.

Back ho, Aurelia took a shower. Wiping her hair as she ca out, she sat on the bed, picked up her phone, and pulled up Mason’s number.
If you’re chasing soone, you’re supposed to text them all the ti, right?
Aurelia’s lips curled into a smile. "Ho yet?"
Very quickly, he replied:
"Yeah, if this place counts as ho."
Below was a photo Mason had taken.
"Nice place. As expected of President Nightshade’s digs—way better than my little shoebox," Aurelia snapped a photo of her own room and sent it over to Mason.
Mason: "Need to change your hotel?"
"The crew arranged these rooms for everyone. Switching hotels would actually be more trouble," Aurelia replied.
Her two snow‑white feet were swinging lazily, and she suddenly realized how peaceful and easy the atmosphere felt between the two of them right now.
