Tokyo: Rabbit Officer and Her Evil Partner Chapter 730 - 449: A Girl’s Rebellion
Minamoto Tamako played for three days before she vaguely realized sothing was amiss.
It started when she was playing baseball with the butler. She hit a ho run, and the ball disappeared sowhere. The ball boy couldn’t find it anywhere, so she thought maybe it had gone out of the yard and wanted to go check, but the butler stopped her:
"The yard is several kiloters long; it definitely couldn’t have flown out. Don’t worry, Miss Tamako, we’ll find it for sure..."
Minamoto Tamako was a bit displeased, feeling underestimated. That ho run could easily fly four or five kiloters and could have entirely landed outside the yard.
Unfortunately, before she could prove herself, the ball boy found the baseball.
After that, Minamoto Tamako had several more chances by coincidence to go out, but each ti, the butler stopped her.
Once or twice was fine, but after four or five tis, even Minamoto Tamako, no matter how dense, sensed sothing was wrong. She randomly made an excuse, saying she wanted to go out for a walk, and the butler imdiately appeared, insisting on taking her for a stroll in the backyard instead.
Minamoto Tamako simply charged forward, head down, towards the main entrance.
Unfortunately, the Kujo Family’s yard was too big. Before she could reach the gate, four or five attendants ca out of nowhere, like soccer trainers, blocking her way and asking where Miss Tamako was going.
"I want to go out! I want to go out!" Minamoto Tamako simply revealed her cards and shouted.
The attendants kept asking her why she was going out, refusing to let her leave. Annoyed by their questions, Minamoto Tamako tried to force her way through, only to be lifted by two female attendants and carried back to the house.
Fuming, Minamoto Tamako went to find her grandfather to understand what was going on. Yet after searching in vain, she learned that her grandfather had left for a few days and was currently not at ho.
"Why did he go out?"
No one answered her repeated inquiries.
But soon, she found out why Kujo Mutsumi had gone out.
On the fourth night, Kujo Mutsumi returned ho, calling Minamoto Tamako for dinner. Minamoto Tamako angrily questioned her grandfather, stating that restricting soone’s freedom is illegal, even if it’s a family mber!
"How could this happen?" Kujo Mutsumi looked surprised, saying he knew nothing about it, and scolded the butler right in front of Minamoto Tamako: "It might have been sothing Little Wei instructed before leaving, hoping you could understand them."
"What?" Minamoto Tamako found it strange. "Why wouldn’t Mom let go?"
Kujo Mutsumi’s next words stunned Minamoto Tamako at the dining table: "It might have sothing to do with your marriage."
After four or five seconds, Minamoto Tamako regained her senses and asked, "Marriage? My marriage with Mr. Deer?"
"Fushimi-kun... asked to break up with you the day before yesterday," Kujo Mutsumi looked pained, as if sympathizing with his granddaughter: "I was afraid you’d be sad, so I didn’t ntion it until now."
Minamoto Tamako’s eyes widened, her mind buzzing.
Her first reaction was disbelief, but soon self-doubt crept in; after all, if her parents could part ways, what’s impossible about her and Fushimi-kun?
Besides, before she left, she had a big argunt with Fushimi-kun, and hadn’t called or ssaged him in days... Wasn’t this a one-sided emotional cold war?
"Really? When did he co?" Minamoto Tamako asked, stamring.
"Just the night before," Kujo Mutsumi sighed, patting her shoulder, "I tried persuading him for a long ti, but he was firm."
"Then why didn’t he tell himself?" Minamoto Tamako pressed on.
"I asked, but he doesn’t want to see you," Kujo Mutsumi said.
Minamoto Tamako sensed her grandfather was lying. She wanted her small phone back to confirm with Fushimi-kun herself. Kujo Mutsumi didn’t oppose and returned the phone to her.
She quickly replaced the battery and called Fushimi Roku, but no one answered.
Kujo Mutsumi urged her kindly, "He might have already blocked you; calling won’t help..."
"No! I need to see him! Unless he tells himself!"
Minamoto Tamako couldn’t even bother with her al. She slamd the table and stood up to leave, only to be stopped by the butler again. Furious and anxious, she turned back and asked, "What is this supposed to an?!"
Kujo Mutsumi sighed deeply, "Have you forgotten about the marriage I ntioned earlier?"
Minamoto Tamako had a bad feeling, anxiety creeping in.
Kujo Mutsumi continued, "You are the daughter of the Kujo Family. Even in a breakup, you should carry yourself with dignity and not pester endlessly. Little Wei also heard about it and arranged a marriage for you. I went to see the other party these days. It’s a good family, and the man has a decent character and worldview. You won’t be wronged if you marry there..."
Minamoto Tamako’s mind was a ss, like paste, unsure of what to do.
Half coaxing, half persuading, Kujo Mutsumi suggested she return to her room to rest, et the fiancé, and get engaged tomorrow. Minamoto Tamako was shocked again, dazedly saying, "So soon? But I don’t even know that person!"
Then, feeling sothing was off, she said, "No, that’s not the point. It’s Fushimi-kun—"
"Tamako!" Kujo Mutsumi interrupted her sternly, with a solemn face, harshly criticizing: "Stop disgracing the Kujo Family! Allowing you to date a commoner was already indulgent! Now you want to pester a man who dumped you, what would others think if they saw? Do you want all the won of the Kujo Family to be shad?!"
"I didn’t an that..." Minamoto Tamako was on the verge of tears.
"Enough, it’s over now. Go to your room and reflect on yourself," Kujo Mutsumi softened his tone and added, "Try on the wedding dress, pick the one you like most."
