Tokyo: Rabbit Officer and Her Evil Partner Chapter 729 - 448: Too Happy to Return Home, Part 4
Having figured out the situation, Minamoto Tamako felt at ease, so she freshened up in the bathroom, ready to bid farewell to her grandpa.
However, as she was about to head out the door to find her grandpa in the courtyard sitting room, the butler inford her that she couldn’t leave yet.
"Why?" Minamoto Tamako felt baffled.
"This is an order from Miss Yui. I’m not quite sure about the specifics," the butler presented an excuse he had prepared beforehand.
"Did Mom ask to stay at Grandpa’s?" Minamoto Tamako scratched her head. "Is there a landline here? Can I call my mom?"
"Apologies, it’s inconvenient at the mont. Miss Yui is in a eting with the Family Head," the butler had already thought of how to respond to further questions.
"I see..." Minamoto Tamako thought maybe her mom and grandpa had sothing to discuss and wanted to see her too. "Can I use the landline to call Fushimi-kun then?"
"Mr. Fushimi already called this morning. I conveyed the ssage for you that you’ll be staying a few more days. Please forgive for taking the liberty, Miss Tamako."
The butler bowed his head at a nineteen-degree angle and said, "I apologize profusely!"
Seeing his sincere apology, and since it wasn’t a big deal anyway, Minamoto Tamako felt a bit embarrassed and quickly waved her hand, saying, "No worries, it’s fine. I just wanted to inform him, you’re helping out."
The butler looked grateful. "It’s very kind of you, Miss Tamako, to understand soone like who serves."
Minamoto Tamako felt happy and a bit shy, laughed and waved her hand again, saying politely, "You’re just following orders from the Family Head. It’s fine, it’s fine. If he misses , he’ll co find ."
The butler nodded and complinted her a bit more before smoothly changing the topic, ntioning that a famous mystery novelist, Nishizawa Yohiko, would be visiting later, and if Miss Tamako was interested, she could chat with him.
Of course, Minamoto Tamako was interested. She was a fan of mystery novels and Nishizawa Yohiko’s books, so she was naturally excited.
By the afternoon, Nishizawa Yohiko arrived as promised. Minamoto Tamako chatted with him the entire afternoon, asking about the plots in his books, the trajectory of the murders, and the tragic characters, and in the end, she even got his autograph, which made her extrely happy.
If only Fushimi-kun were here, she could boast about it... Even if she could use her phone, that would do. She could take a picture of the autograph and send it to Fushimi-kun.
Alas, he just wasn’t lucky enough, always being so petty.
In the evening, the butler arranged a new activity. A well-known ga master organized a large-scale interactive detective ga at the Kujo Family mansion.
As Minamoto Tamako was having dinner, a bunch of guests suddenly arrived at the dining room. After introducing themselves, they all enjoyed a lively al together. Suddenly, soone clutched their throat and collapsed on the floor, poisoned to death.
The ga master stood up dramatically, reasoning a bit before delivering the classic line, ’The murderer is among us, and no one leaves until the truth is uncovered!’... He then explained to Minamoto Tamako that it was a ga and nobody had actually died, and he asked if she was interested in participating.
Minamoto Tamako was almost overjoyed into a blissful state, her face beaming with a broad smile. How could she refuse? She eagerly joined in and played until late at night.
While she was having a blast, the butler was still racking his brains, planning the activities for the next day. He was trying to attract Miss Tamako’s attention and keep her imrsed in entertainnt, using this non-violent thod to keep her confined within the Kujo mansion.
In short, it all ca down to one phrase.
Here in this rry land, one forgets to long for ho.
