Crackling and popping, the trees beneath Aozawa’s feet twisted in agony in the inferno, bursting with loud cracks as if wailing for their impending demise.

He just stood there, and the flas, like a frenzied red Giant Dragon, spread wantonly through the lush green forest.

Wherever the leaves danced, fierce fires surely ignited...

The Will of fire flickered through Aozawa’s mind, but he quickly reined in his thoughts, looking down. From this height, the forest of Jerusalem seed so insignificant.

He could see the camp on the outskirts of the forest clearly. He opened his mouth to expel a breath.

In his form as the Fire Elent, even his saliva and breath were fire.

When he wanted to exhale, it naturally beca a fiery breath, combined with the power of Infinity Big.

This breath of fire streaked across the forest and landed in the minefield to the west. There, the raging flas, carrying imnse force, slamd into the ground.

In just an instant, the mines buried underground detonated directly.

BOOM, BOOM, BOOM! Amidst a series of loud explosions, dirt splattered in the flas, and the fire swept around the outskirts of the forest.

Aozawa didn’t need to turn around. As a being of fla, he had no neck constraints. His head swiveled completely around, detonating all the mines in the surrounding area.

Drones exploded in the sea of fire one after another, like the final death cries of people facing their end.

The earth-shaking booms caused the troops stationed in the camp to run out, their faces etched with astonishnt as they observed the scene before them.

"Hey, hey, hey, what can we possibly do in a situation like this?"

The U.S. Army colonel, ordered to guard this place, watched the unfolding scene with a deflated expression.

They were stationed here to deal with other countries and so reckless civilians. However, no one had told them what to do in the event of sothing like this.

The towering fire entity in the lush forest seed to wear the sun as its Crown. It was like the fire giant Surtr from Ragnarok, intent on burning the entire world to ashes.

Aozawa cleared the mines outside with a single breath, ensuring Chitose would have an unobstructed escape path.

He turned toward Chitose and exhaled a fireball. Enhanced by Infinity Big, the fireball expanded into a miniature sun before plumting into the forest.

BANG!

The trees twisted and shattered in the fierce blaze, turning to ash.

A heatwave rolled forth, carrying a suffocating, scorched scent.

This massive fireball completely severed the connection between Morimoto Chiyoda and Bruno’s team.

Bathed in the firelight, Morimoto Chiyoda paused in montary surprise, then quickly realized Dio was destroying his past.

"Run!"

She uttered just that one word, then swiftly ran toward the edge of the forest.

At this mont, she cared little for any secrets the forest held; even her mission from above seed unimportant.

Against an Angel Envoy as devastating as a natural disaster, humans stood no chance.

Morimoto Chiyoda felt no thrill in such a hopeless situation; she only wanted to get as far away from this dangerous place as possible.

She had not had her fill of Aozawa yet.

At this mont, battle-hardened spies, covert martial artists, infamous assassins from the underworld, and elite special forces operatives—

even Half-Flesh Robots clad in Smart Armor—

no matter who they were, all without exception ceased their skirmishes and explorations.

When the figure like a descended Fire God appeared, it signified that the gas of mortals had ended in that instant.

Aozawa spat out fireball after fireball, the scorching spheres devouring every patch of land they touched.

The trees crackled in the intense flas.

One towering, ancient tree after another succumbed to the fiery onslaught, reduced to nothingness.

The terrifying heat spread rapidly, igniting vast swathes of fallen leaves and trees.

Not only humans were fleeing; animals too were howling in panic, desperately trying to escape this burgeoning death zone.

Billowing smoke rose, filling the air with an acrid, charred sll. Morimoto Chiyoda was thankful for her gas mask and Intelligent AI Explorer Mirror, which shielded her from the smoke.

In such a crisis, Morimoto Chiyoda naturally couldn’t worry about Bryce and Manny. She could only take care of herself, running in a straight line toward the forest’s edge.

She no longer bothered detouring around obstacles like tree roots. With a powerful thrust from her legs and a steadying hand on whatever surface presented itself, she easily vaulted over barriers more than two ters high.

To her, this wasn’t difficult. She hadn’t done so before only because she worried about being attacked while airborne, which would make dodging difficult.

Now, no human or animal had the luxury to consider attacking others.

The flas leaped and spread unrestrained, devouring all life. The destructive heat forced all living beings to flee outward.

Aozawa spat out flas again and again.

Aside from Morimoto Chiyoda’s escape route, he spat fire indiscriminately everywhere else.

He intended to burn this entire forest to the ground.

HEH HEH HEH... Ah, no, that’s a smile befitting a villain.

Aozawa stopped spitting fire. As much as he enjoyed destruction, he still had to be mindful of his actions, ensuring the flas didn’t spread too fiercely before Chitose escaped.

It had to be said, the feeling of obliterating everything was indeed exhilarating. He sowhat understood why the antagonists in so ani worlds always sought to destroy everything instead of enjoying the pleasures of life. Because the simple act of destruction could also bring a sense of exhilaration. However, he guessed that such a feeling was probably as fleeting as the joys found in the company of the opposite sex. Thinking this way, he actually found Tetsuji’s Demon King setting sowhat reasonable—if there were countless worlds, then a Demon King could find endless pleasure in destruction.

Aozawa’s thoughts wandered until he sensed Morimoto Chiyoda’s Defense Barrier reach the edge of the forest.

He snapped back to reality and stopped his little ga of spitting fireballs.

Aozawa spat a jet of fla directly onto the ground, and then his head began to rotate.

The fla traced a circle on the ground and gradually spread outward.

Morimoto Chiyoda burst out of the forest. Looking at the charred earth, which was torn up and still smoldering from explosions, she sowhat understood that the mines buried here had probably detonated.

Bearing in mind that caution is the key to longevity, she did not run around wildly. Instead, she chose spots that were obviously cratered, indicating that the mines beneath had already exploded.

She quickly ran out of the minefield and turned around.

The forest was burning.

"Dio!"

Morimoto Chiyoda uttered the na, a flash of confusion in her eyes. By doing such a thing, could it be that Dio doesn’t want anyone to know about his past connected to this forest? Otherwise, she couldn’t understand why Dio would personally destroy this forest. No matter how she thought about it, this didn’t seem to have anything to do with Paradise. Is the past Dio wants to conceal related to the Spells?

Morimoto Chiyoda fell into contemplation.

The fire spread rampantly, turning the once-vibrant forest into a sea of flas.

The elite operatives from various countries retreated one after another, all still shaken by the experience.

anwhile, scholars from various research groups wept before the inferno, mourning the destruction of irreplaceable trees and unique ecosystems.

Their current anguish was as profound as their earlier elation had been.

Aozawa looked around, making sure not a single tree remained. He was satisfied. The Fire Elent quickly transford into wind. Then, using the Ability for Global Travel, he leaped away from the scene.

It was ti for him to go back to sleep.

He left behind a crowd staring at the sea of fire.

Bryce wiped the soot from his face and murmured, "Are we even going to try to put out this fire?"

Morimoto Chiyoda said leisurely, "Even if we did, what would be the use? Is there any life left in the entire forest?"

"You have a point."

Bryce watched as the flas gradually subsided, revealing ground covered in a thick layer of ash.

Smoke rose slowly, and the sunlight filtering through it seed pale and powerless.

"HA HA! I rember those United Nations guys making a trendous fuss, wracking their brains about the future use of this forest. They even drafted a series of regulations, and now it’s all gone to waste."

Bryce let out a loud laugh. He was never one for intellectual pursuits and hadn’t contributed much to the planning for the forest anyway.

So, he could stand there and mock the failure of the higher-ups’ plans.

Mocking others was, in itself, a sign of being alive.

Morimoto Chiyoda shrugged. "Yeah, it’s ti for us to go back. Let the people in charge deal with the ensuing headache."

Morimoto Chiyoda didn’t need to get involved in the aftermath. Her business trip was over. She took an F-22 fighter jet from Hamuda Nam Military Base back to Yokota Airbase and then drove her Lamborghini ho.

She sped through the early morning streets of Tokyo.

By the ti she arrived at her house, it was five o’clock on Tuesday morning.

The sky was gradually turning a clear azure, free from the earlier haze, as Morimoto Chiyoda yawned and parked her car in the driveway.

She felt exceptionally tired and wanted to collapse into bed imdiately, but the sweat clinging to her body made her uncomfortable.

Especially her chest.

Morimoto Chiyoda decided to shower first.

She had been either fighting or flying constantly. Until now, she had barely slept, experiencing the bone-deep fatigue of soone who had pulled an all-nighter at work.

"AHHH..."

Yawning, Morimoto Chiyoda entered the mansion, kicked off her shoes in the entryway, and headed straight for the bathroom.

She chose not to soak in a warm bath but to rinse her body with cool water, lathering up with shampoo and shower gel.

Morimoto Chiyoda ticulously washed every trace of sweat from her body, leaving no spot uncleaned.

After showering, she dried her long hair with a hairdryer.

Looking at her reflection in the mirror, Morimoto Chiyoda sighed, "So tired."

She put down the hairdryer and dragged her weary body out of the bathroom.

After a business trip, rest naturally followed.

Morimoto Chiyoda walked through the corridor and quietly opened Aozawa’s room door. She then moved briskly to the bedside, gazing at Aozawa’s peaceful sleeping face.

She lifted the thin blanket covering him.

The sudden chill made Aozawa drop his pretense of sleep. He opened his eyes, which then widened in surprise as he saw Morimoto Chiyoda standing by the bed.

"Don’t say anything."

Morimoto Chiyoda was utterly exhausted. She straddled him on the bed, leaned forward, and whispered in his ear.

"Quick,

fuck,

fuck to death."

Aozawa, naturally, was more than happy to oblige.
