When Suzuki Junko walked into her father Suzuki Daohiro’s office, she saw Aoyama Xiu Xin was also there.

She froze at the doorway for a mont.

Aoyama Xiu Xin looked at her and with all due courtesy, showed her a slight smile, "Miss Junko, we et again."

Mortal enemies lock eyes, turning green with envy.

"Idiot! Why is this shaless person here!" Suzuki Junko gnashed her teeth.

"Presumptuous!" Suzuki Daohiro slamd down the teacup with a "bang" and rebuked, glancing coldly at his daughter and said harshly, "Relying on to have your back, you dare to provoke trouble outside, and now you won’t apologize to Police Chief Aoyama?"

Before Suzuki Junko’s arrival, Aoyama Xiu Xin had already finished their conversation, and as a father, he was angry that his daughter had been hurt and humiliated.

But due to Aoyama Xiu Xin’s background, he was able to analyze the whole situation rationally and knew it was his daughter who had been unreasonable first, and that anything Aoyama Xiu Xin did to retaliate when his own interests were hard was fully justified.

And yet, he ca to him, after administering a light punishnt, expressing a willingness for it to end there, turning swords into plowshares.

This much already gave him face, Suzuki Daohiro had to admit his own failure in teaching his daughter, despite what he thought, and show gratitude to Aoyama Xiu Xin’s magnanimity.

"Apologize? I should apologize to him?" Suzuki Junko was incredulous as if hearing a fantastical tale, her face full of disbelief as she looked at her father, both shocked and angry, "Dad do you know what this damned bastard did to ..."

"Shut up!" Suzuki Daohiro got up and strode forward, slapping Suzuki Junko hard across the face.

"Smack!"

A crisp sound.

Suzuki Junko’s voice stopped abruptly as she staggered to the side, clutching her face in pain and incredulity as she looked at Suzuki Daohiro.

Suzuki Daohiro, with an icy expression, snapped, "Of course I know what he did. But I also know what you did! Relying on , you ruined soone’s future with your evil sches, and to end up in this situation is your own doing."

"Police Chief Aoyama is clear-minded and magnanimous, and he only gave you a light punishnt before coming personally to to declare he will not pursue it any further. Instead of being grateful, you’re speaking insolently to him. Is this how I raised you?"

This ti he was truly furious.

Luckily, it was just Aoyama Xiu Xin his daughter had antagonized. If she had angered those second-generation elites, who were powerful and lawless, he didn’t even want to imagine what would happen.

Those people didn’t consider consequences.

"Dad, you raised to be honest and good since childhood, am I not doing just as you taught?" Tears welled up in Suzuki Junko’s eyes, her face stubborn as she pointed at Aoyama Xiu Xin, "He covered up for the Agricultural and Forestry Bank’s Credit Departnt Director Kikumura Yakuo, framing innocent people to confess in his stead. As a prosecutor, shouldn’t I uncover the truth and punish him severely?"

"When I was young, you told to be a noble and fair person, and now that I’ve beco such a person, you accuse of wrongdoing? Dad, am I really the one in the wrong?"

"You..." Suzuki Daohiro was at a loss for words.

"Dad, as long as I’m in this position, I will not give up the pursuit of truth," Suzuki Junko declared before turning towards Aoyama Xiu Xin, her eyes full of loathing and resentnt, "I will always be watching you."

With those words, she turned, slamd the door, and left. As the door shut, faint sobs could be heard.

"Ah! What a failure I’ve been in raising my daughter, making Police Chief Aoyama witness such a farce," Suzuki Daohiro sighed.

Aoyama Xiu Xin said, "Miss Junko has a pure heart and a naive personality, but such cleanliness is not well-suited for the filthy battleground of power."

Objectively speaking, Suzuki Junko was indeed a good person; born into a bureaucratic family yet she always maintained her principles and defended justice, daring to fight.

Aoyama Xiu Xin admired such people.

But when they crossed him, his admiration vanished.

He just wanted to squash this annoying bug!

"Don’t worry, Police Chief Aoyama. Given the uproar she has caused this ti, I can suspend her, so she won’t trouble you anymore," Suzuki Daohiro promised.

He felt that might actually be a good thing for his daughter, who would grow if she got past this hurdle.

If not, then she would fail, but at least without power, she wouldn’t have the ability to cause more trouble.

"Thank you for the trouble, Vice Minister Suzuki. I truly did not wish to harm your daughter any further," Aoyama Xiu Xin stood up and sincerely remarked before asking to leave, "I won’t delay your work any longer. I have other matters and must go."

"Please take care, Police Chief Aoyama. Maybe we can have a drink together when you’re free," Suzuki Daohiro said warmly but remained standing in place, not escorting him out.

Aoyama Xiu Xin added, "Also, one more thing I forgot to ntion, Miss Junko’s naive nature could easily be exploited. Vice Minister Suzuki, you must be vigilant, or you might end up with a son-in-law with a tarnished reputation."

Of course, he was warning Asano Hirofumi.

Following this, Asano Hirofumi would be suspended, but of course, it wouldn’t end there. Aoyama Xiu Xin always rooted out his problems completely but couldn’t be bothered to do it himself, trusting that Suzuki Daohiro would not let off the man who had led his daughter astray.

Her father and her beloved boyfriend.

Which would Chunzi choose?

"Thank you for the reminder, Police Chief Aoyama," Suzuki Daohiro said with a displeased expression. In his eyes, Asano Hirofumi would be soone taking advantage of his daughter, and he would never accept a man who couldn’t beat Aoyama Xiu Xin as his son-in-law.

After bowing, Aoyama Xiu Xin took his leave.

"You bastard!"

As he rounded the corner in the hallway, a clenched fist flew toward his face. Aoyama Xiu Xin raised his right hand, grabbed the wrist, and with a slight smile, his left hand delivered a backhanded slap.

"Smack!"

Her face burned with pain, the slap dazing Suzuki Junko into asking, "You hit ?"

First, her father struck her, now Aoyama Xiu Xin.

She had never been hit before in her life, but today she was doubly struck, shocked, furious, and hurt.

"So you’re allowed to hit ?" Aoyama Xiu Xin released her, shaking off his wrist and asked lightly.

In his eyes, there were no n and won.

Only friends and enemies.

He never coddled his friends.

He never went easy on his enemies.

Suzuki Junko bit her silvery teeth, glaring angrily at Aoyama Xiu Xin, "Hitting a woman, you’re no man!"

"And your dad is?" Aoyama Xiu Xin laughed.

"You!" Unable to beat or out-argue him, Suzuki Junko burst into tears, raining down like a storm, and with a mixture of ferocity and cuteness, she blurted out, "I will never let you off in this lifeti!"

Her chest heaved under her suit.

"You should feel fortunate to have a good father; otherwise, you wouldn’t have had the chance to stand before and talk tough, you’d at most send a ssage in a dream," Aoyama Xiu Xin said with a gentle smile, but his eyes were cold as frost.

Had it been another person without backing who dared to sche against him, he would have already thrown them into a blender.

Suzuki Junko was intimidated by his gaze, but not wanting to lose her montum, she stiffened her neck and feigned calm, "Do you think I am soone who gets scared easily?"

Too well protected, unaware of the viciousness of evil people.

"Look at what happened to Asano Hirofumi, and then you’ll know if I’m just trying to scare you," said Aoyama Xiu Xin incontestably, then walked past her towards the elevator.

Startled, Suzuki Junko froze for a mont, then hurriedly caught up to Aoyama Xiu Xin, grabbed his sleeve, and demanded, "Asshole! What are you going to do to Brother Hongwen, you can’t harm him, you can’t!"

"Why can’t I? Heh, Is he only allowed to hurt ?" Aoyama Xiu Xin scoffed, shaking off her hand, and said indifferently, "Do you think the court incident today was my retaliation? That was just an appetizer. You have a great father who makes wary, but I still need an outlet for my rage, and if not you, then it can only be Asano Hirofumi."

"He is upholding justice..."

"To hell with justice!" Aoyama Xiu Xin interrupted her unceremoniously, adjusted his tie, and with a scornful smile said, "Do we Japanese speak of justice?"

The little devils talking about justice?

Suzuki Junko was dumbfounded, feeling that he held a grudge against her Japanese identity.

Isn’t he also Japanese?

"No matter what, you cannot harm Brother Hongwen any further; he has suffered enough, Aoyama Xiu Xin!"

"Where should my rage go then?"

"If you have any, take it out on !"

"Alright!" Aoyama Xiu Xin stared at her delicate and cute baby face with a smile that was not quite a smile, his eyes landing on her soft red lips, and whispered sothing in her ear.

"Idiot!" In a mix of sha and rage, Suzuki Junko cursed, raising her hand to slap Aoyama Xiu Xin.

"Slap!"

Aoyama Xiu Xin once again slapped her first, his eyes filled with mockery, "It seems you don’t love him as much as you think you do, always speaking of protecting him, yet unwilling to sacrifice even this for him."

"Compared to him, what you care more about is your own dignity and purity; he doesn’t weigh as much in your heart as you do yourself, so why should you care what I do to him, Miss Suzuki Junko?"

With that, he left with a light chuckle.

Her face alternating colors, fists clenched tightly, Suzuki Junko trembled slightly, stung by Aoyama Xiu Xin’s mocking gaze, "Do I really not love Brother Hong Wen that much?"

No! It’s not like that!

She loved him and was willing to sacrifice everything for him.

He had already lost his dream, his chance to be a police officer; how could she let him get hurt again?

"Stop!"

Hearing the slightly trembling voice behind him,

Aoyama Xiu Xin, with an amused curl of his lips, stopped and turned around impatiently asking, "What now?"

"I’ll do it," Suzuki Junko said through clenched teeth, gasping for breath, squeezing out the words.

Aoyama Xiu Xin looked at her in astonishnt.

"Don’t assu you understand my love for Brother Hong Wen with your hypocritical view on emotions!" Suzuki Junko was pleased with his reaction, holding her fists tight, "I’m willing to do anything for him!"

"Interesting," Aoyama Xiu Xin appraised.

He always favored pure love.

Monts later, Aoyama Xiu Xin took Suzuki Junko to the corridor, "Let’s do it here."

"You promised, no more hurting Brother Hong Wen." Half an hour later, Suzuki Junko said through gritted teeth.

Aoyama Xiu Xin smiled faintly, "Of course."

I definitely won’t harm him, but what your father does to him has nothing to do with .

Guilt by association, seek your father’s revenge.

After that, he left without paying any attention to the disheveled Suzuki Junko and faintly heard the sound of sobbing coming from behind in the corridor.

Aoyama Xiu Xin couldn’t stand the sound of a woman crying.

When a woman cries, he just wants to laugh.

Like now, laughing without restraint.
