The driver took a risk for his family’s sake.

In the end, he chose to compromise for his family as well.

What each person cares about is not only the source of their strength but also their Achilles’ heel.

"A mber of the Chizhu Family contacted because he was in charge of collecting maintenance fees for our area and knew about my situation. He introduced to the Chizhu Family’s executive director, who gave 20 million yen to drive into Aoyama Xiu Xin."

Nakamura Shinichi relayed the interrogated information to Aoyama Xiu Xin and then said, "However, without concrete evidence and just the driver’s testimony, I’m afraid it’s not enough to prove that the Chizhu Family hired him to attack you."

"You don’t need to worry about this anymore. Focus on investigating Ayase Mihiko’s murder case," Aoyama Xiu Xin said before hanging up the phone, a fierce light flickering in his eyes. He didn’t need evidence when dealing with the trash of the Black Society.

Aoyama Xiu Xin called Yamakawa Ichiro, "Do you know about the Chizhu Family? Tell about them."

"Yeah! The Chizhu Family is a Violent Gang located in Hirakawa District North Chiyozu, a second-tier organization under the Daokuan Association. Their leader, Ishida Shikou, serves as an adviser within the Daokuan Association," Yamakawa Ichiro rattled off.

"And the executive director?" asked Aoyama Xiu Xin.

The executive director holds a high position in any organization, almost equivalent to being a second or third in command.

"The executive director of the Chizhu Family is nad Gu Tian Jing. Did he offend you?" Yamakawa Ichiro inquired tentatively.

"He didn’t offend ; he just nearly killed ," said Aoyama Xiu Xin. "The car accident I was in was orchestrated by Gu Tian Jing. Find him for ."

"Of course!" Yamakawa Ichiro said furiously, then spoke with a serious tone, "Mr. Aoyama, rest assured, I’ll make them pay for their stupidity!"

Aoyama Xiu Xin was his pillar of support; if anything happened to him, it would undoubtedly hinder the Yamakawa Family’s progression.

His rage was, therefore, understandable.

"Right, there’s soone behind him that I need you to dig out," Aoyama Xiu Xin stated calmly.

He had no grudge with the Chizhu Family; they would have to be insane to inexplicably hire soone to kill him.

After ending the call with Yamakawa Ichiro, Aoyama Xiu Xin then called Yanchuan Xianyou, "Brother Xianyou, the driver who tried to hit just confessed. It was the Daokuan Association that bribed him to do it. Those bastards are truly audacious!"

"Idiot! These Violent Gangs are completely lawless," Yanchuan Xianyou fud upon hearing the news, knowing why Aoyama Xiu Xin had called him, and said, "Go ahead and do what you need to do."

"Yes! Thanks, Brother Xianyou. I really can’t hold this in," Aoyama Xiu Xin said grimly.

He needed to make an example of this to show these gangs that whoever dared to lay a hand on him would pay a heavy price, no matter the reason.

They would have to think twice before trying anything like this again.

"Knock, knock, knock." The sound of knocking ca.

"Co in," said Aoyama Xiu Xin.

"Brother Xiu Xin, are you okay?" Neitian Youji walked in with a fruit basket, concern written all over her face.

Aoyama Xiu Xin smiled, "I’m fine. Just under observation. I should be out the day after tomorrow. Have a seat."

"That’s good," Neitian Youji sighed with relief, sitting on the edge of the bed and, taking an orange from the basket, she said, "I’ll peel an orange for you."

Today she was wearing a sailor outfit, and when she sat down, her pert bottom was faintly visible under her skirt’s hem, her legs clad in white thigh-high socks with a hint of flesh squeezed out at the top.

"Brother Xiu Xin, eat," said Neitian Youji, peeling an orange and holding a segnt to Aoyama Xiu Xin’s mouth.

He took it into his mouth and chewed as he casually asked, "How’s your acting career going?"

"It’s okay, though I believe my chance will co soon." Apparently aware of her good looks, Neitian Youji was always confident about becoming successful. "Brother Xiu Xin, scoot over a bit."

"What happened? Isn’t there enough room for you?" Aoyama Xiu Xin teased as he shifted over.

Neitian Youji kicked off her shoes, flipped back the duvet, and lay down beside him. "I’m exhausted. I had an early morning photoshoot for an advert. That photographer was such an idiot; I’m so pretty that any shot would turn out great, yet he took until noon to finish. Then I was busy at the flower shop until now; I feel like I’m falling apart. Lying down like this is so comfortable."

Feeling the warm body pressed tight against his, Aoyama Xiu Xin felt himself stiffening.

He suspected Neitian Youji was deliberately teasing him again.

But to his surprise, Neitian Youji kept chattering about work matters.

"Do you know, Brother Xiu Xin, last ti a creepy director tried to take advantage of , I loudly asked him if he wanted to sleep with , attracting everyone’s attention, and hehe, his face turned green."

"Well done, that’s the way to handle it; with your youth, you have plenty of opportunities and shouldn’t sell your body."

"It’s a sha he’s not as handso as you, Brother Xiu Xin. Otherwise, I might not mind being seduced..."

Aoyama Xiu Xin listened quietly, occasionally giving a couple of suggestions. Before long, Neitian Youji had fallen into a deep sleep, her breathing even, serene, and peaceful.

It was evident she was truly exhausted today.

She even made the trip to visit him.

............

The executive director of the Chizhu Family, Gu Tian Jing, was still blissfully unaware he had been betrayed. At that mont, he was indulging in pleasures of the flesh in Kabukicho on Yamakawa Family turf.

This ti, the Yamakawa Family didn’t wait for him to be alone to strike; instead, they barged into his private room, rcilessly beat up his underlings and forcibly took him away.

They escorted him all the way to the nearest seaside.

"Idiot! Yamakawa Ichiro! Are you trying to start a war with us?" As soon as he got out of the car, Gu Tian Jing saw the portly Yamakawa Ichiro, dressed in a brown kimono and wooden clogs, fishing on a rock with a rod in hand.

"Start a war? I’d rather spill your guts." Yamakawa Ichiro responded without turning back, reeling in his fishing line, then turned to toss the hook in front of Gu Tian Jing, "Hook it up, it’s been a while since I’ve fished for n."

His temper had always been foul, and it seed to grow worse as he gained weight.

As Yamakawa Ichiro finished speaking, two subordinates pinned Gu Tian Jing to the ground, one of them bringing a large sea fishing hook close to Gu Tian Jing’s mouth.

Gu Tian Jing was terrified and yelled, "Yamakawa Ichiro, have you gone mad... Ah!"

Before he could finish speaking, the sharp hook pierced through his cheek, blood pouring out imdiately.

"I’m not mad, you are mad. Didn’t you know Mr. Aoyama is like a second father to ? Yet you dared to harm him; you deserve to die, you bastard." Yamakawa Ichiro’s face was contorted with rage as he kept winding the reel in his hands.

"Ah, stop! Stop!" Gu Tian Jing scread in agony, feeling his entire cheek about to be ripped off as blood gushed out, forcing him to walk towards Yamakawa Ichiro to ease the pain.

Yamakawa Ichiro burst into laughter, leaping from the rock, splashing water everywhere. With every step Gu Tian Jing took closer, Ichiro stepped back.

"Tell , why did you conspire against Mr. Aoyama."

"Yamakawa Ichiro, I swear I will... Ah!"

Yamakawa Ichiro kept retreating while reeling in the line, pulling a gash on the hooked cheek of Gu Tian Jing, his flesh a bloody ss. Blood dripped continuously into the sea.

With every forceful tug of the rod, the gash would open and close, stretching to its limits at tis, allowing a glimpse of Gu Tian Jing’s tongue in his mouth.

"Ah! Stop, I’ll talk! I’ll talk!"

The relentless pain made Gu Tian Jing beg, his words almost incomprehensible, tears streaming fiercely.

"Speak," Yamakawa Ichiro paused his reeling.

He then took out a voice recorder and turned it on.

The gasping Gu Tian Jing, barely daring to breathe heavily, said, "It was the orders of the senior director of the Daokuan Association, Qingtian Zheye. Our Chizhu Family was just... just following orders."

"Daokuan Association," Yamakawa Ichiro muttered to himself before suddenly swinging the fishing rod backwards.

With a sickening tear, half of Gu Tian Jing’s cheek was brutally ripped off. Blood splattered instantly, his teeth and gums completely exposed as he fell agonizingly into the churning seawater.

Yamakawa Ichiro approached and planted a foot on him, looking down, "Even if you acted on the orders of the Heavenly Light God, it wouldn’t matter."

As he spoke, he drew a knife he was carrying and knelt down to stab it into Gu Tian Jing’s neck.

Gu Tian Jing’s eyes bulged, his hands instinctively grabbing at Yamakawa Ichiro’s arm. With half his cheek missing, he looked akin to a demon.

But Yamakawa Ichiro seed even more demonic, his grotesque facial features twisted in disturbing excitent. Gripping the knife in Gu Tian Jing’s neck, he sawed sideways, slashing at the neck till his blade was caught in bone and he could cut no more, then stopped sowhat dispiritedly.

He then slumped, sitting heavily on the corpse, breathing raggedly.

"Fetch soone to cut off his head and send it with the voice recorder to Daokuan Hong; tell him Mr. Aoyama awaits an explanation and wants a response within 24 hours."

Daokuan Hong had just taken over the presidency from Ishii Kunlong a couple of years ago, becoming the Daokuan Association’s third generation. At fifty-two, his father, Daokuan Sei, was the association’s founder and the oldest living, most senior mber of the Violent Gang in Japan.

Compared to the Daokuan Association, Yamakawa Ichiro was nothing, but he believed Mr. Aoyama, who could speak to the Sumiyoshi Association head Kubota Shigeru on equal terms, was not afraid.

After collecting himself, he waded out of the sea, taking a mobile phone from his underling to call Aoyama Xiu Xin, "Sir, before his death, Gu Tian Jing claid it was the orders of the Daokuan Association’s senior director. I plan to send his head to Daokuan Hong."

"Proceed, I want Daokuan Hong to give an explanation," said Aoyama Xiu Xin, who, as the Asakai family’s prospective son-in-law and Yanchuan Xianyou’s dear brother, was not afraid of the Daokuan Association while holding the moral high ground.

With a grin, Yamakawa Ichiro replied, "Yes, sir!"
