The two finally stopped fighting.

Winston Valentine tried to go over and help her, but was pushed away by Miles Monroe, who held Vera Yves in his arms and inspected the wound on her face, "Vera, I’m sorry."

Winston Valentine clenched his fists tightly.

Vera Yves’ face scrunched up in pain, she reached out, tenderly touched Miles Monroe’s injured lip corner, then angrily looked at Winston Valentine, "Why did you hit him?"

Winston Valentine wiped his lip corner, tasting blood, "I hit him? Vera Yves, perhaps you should ask him who jumped at like a mad dog the mont he saw !"

"Miles would never hit you without a reason!"

Winston Valentine laughed coldly, "Do you an I deserved it?"

Vera Yves kept a stern face and didn’t respond.

Miles Monroe helped her up from the ground, glaring coldly at Winston Valentine, "You know what you did, Vera is my girlfriend now, so stay away from her!"

Winston Valentine chuckled indifferently, "Counselor Monroe certainly applies double standards."

Miles Monroe carried Vera Yves into the resting room, tending to the wound on her cheek, neither he nor Winston Valentine held back, and her cheek was already swollen.

Vera Yves also raised her hand to touch his cheek, "He’s a lunatic, don’t bother with him anymore."

Miles Monroe held her hand, the towel on Vera Yves had already fallen onto the sofa, she leaned in and kissed his lips.

Winston Valentine passed by the door of the resting room and saw them kissing, her beautiful legs seed to glow under the lights.

He knew well what it felt like to be entangled by those legs.

His heart felt heavy, Winston Valentine struggled to take a step, Vera Yves, you’re full of lies, claiming you had feelings for , yet what you gave was so easily given to soone else.

No one felt like soaking in the hot spring anymore, they returned to their rooms.

The next morning, everyone went to the ski resort to participate in a skiing competition, the winner could get an annual pass to the ski resort, along with a photo with Jane Shea.

From afar, Jane Shea could be seen already dressed in her ski outfit, supported by her assistant at her side.

Because her leg was still injured, she rely took so promotional photos.

After the photoshoot, her assistant hurriedly helped her to sit on a nearby chair.

People around started gossiping.

"Is her company crazy? Jane Shea is in this condition, yet they still have her here for a shoot! Can’t they postpone it a few days?"

"She’s in a fight over breaking her contract with her agency, this must be a pre-flip contract obligation, the agency is definitely making things difficult for her! I heard Jane Shea has no background, she’s being treated like a pushover!"

"A hundred days for bones and tendons to heal! She ca out to work just after a few days like this, isn’t she worried her leg might never heal?"

Zoe Monroe quietly whispered from the side, "Always playing the victim, seeking sympathy! If she truly didn’t want to co, who could force her? She’s doing it on purpose in front of Cousin!"

No one felt like participating in the competition anymore.

Miles Monroe held Vera Yves’ hand, "What do you want to do today?"

Vera Yves returned to her senses, "Played too crazily yesterday, my legs are a bit sore, let’s do so fun activities."

By noon, Jane Shea and her shooting team had already left.

The four went to the ski resort restaurant for lunch, Zoe Monroe walked to Vera Yves, took photos with her and Miles Monroe, then posted it on Weibo, only to find Jane Shea trending.

Upon seeing the title, Zoe Monroe’s eyes widened, wasn’t it just yesterday that nothing was ntioned?

She tapped into the trending topic, saw soone revealing that Jane Shea’s mother was a dancer in a ballroom, the statent was complete with a few photos.

Zoe Monroe instinctively glanced at Miles Monroe, seeing him serving food to Vera Yves, she put her phone face-down on the table.

After all, she wasn’t the one who leaked the info, so why should she be guilty?

Zoe Monroe still wanted to play in the afternoon, Theodore Xavier accompanied her, while Vera Yves and Miles Monroe returned to the hotel early.

Jane Shea was still at the sa position as yesterday, giving an interview, seemingly with another dia outlet this ti.

Facing the cara, Jane Shea smiled gracefully yet occasionally touched her right leg, seemingly enduring sothing.

The elevator doors opened, Vera Yves took a step forward only to notice the man beside her hadn’t moved, "Miles?"

Miles Monroe snapped out of it, walked into the elevator with Vera Yves.

As the elevator doors were closing, Jane Shea suddenly picked up a cup of water from the table, splashed it at the reporter opposite, then stood up but fell awkwardly because she didn’t hold onto the crutches.

The cara operator naturally wouldn’t miss such a scene, aiming the cara at Jane Shea, she was only accompanied by a small assistant, who happened to not be nearby.

The reporter deliberately kicked her crutches a bit further away.

Miles Monroe pressed to open the elevator again, "Vera, you go upstairs first, I’ll co find you later."

Seeing him leave the elevator, Vera Yves hesitated for a mont, ultimately not following him, watching him stride towards Jane Shea, helping her up from the ground, then grabbed the reporter’s collar.

The elevator doors slowly closed, sealing off everything.

Her rational mind told her he was just that kind of person, regardless of whether it was Jane Shea or an unfamiliar woman facing such, he would step in.

But she simply didn’t want him to have any relation with Jane Shea whatsoever.

Vera Yves returned to the room, took a shower, changed clothes.

With Miles Monroe yet to return, she sat by the window, looking boredly at the snow scene outside, they originally planned to drive around nearby.

Zoe Monroe and Theodore Xavier returned around dusk, Zoe Monroe noticed Miles Monroe wasn’t there, instinctively asked, "My cousin didn’t run into Jane Shea, right?"

Seeing Vera Yves not denying it, Zoe Monroe sighed, "I just knew, the dirt on Jane Shea being exposed had nothing to do with him again!"

"What dirt?" Vera Yves asked puzzled.

Zoe Monroe pulled out her phone, tapped into Weibo, only to find the trending topic already retracted, leaving no trace.

"So silly gossip about her biological family."

Miles Monroe returned before dinner, the four ate dinner together, made plans to go back the next morning.

After dinner, the four played poker inside the room, Miles Monroe seed disinterested, ending the ga early.

Zoe Monroe and Vera Yves lay on the bed together, it was only nine at night, feeling utterly bored.

"Vera, let’s go to the bar on the rooftop for so drinks, check out so handso guys, alright?"

Thinking of Miles Monroe rushing to Jane Shea, and his evident bad mood upon return, Vera Yves readily agreed.

The two changed clothes, put on simple makeup, went to the rooftop.

Seated in the booth, Zoe Monroe’s eyes scanned the dance floor for handso guys, spotting one with a spectacular figure, she touched her chin as the man turned around, "Theodore Xavier?"

Wow, claiming he was going to his room to sleep, only to co to the bar for thrills!

"Vera, drink on your own for a bit." Zoe Monroe said, then stood up and walked into the dance floor.

Vera Yves took several sips of wine, spotting a familiar silhouette at a nearby booth, Miles Monroe? Didn’t he say he was going to rest early?
