Chapter 904: Chapter 495: Unbelievable Order_2 Chapter 904: Chapter 495: Unbelievable Order_2 It seems that way.
After pondering for a while, the staff officer accepted Lan Guanghe’s argunt but still said, “So what are you planning to do? With AR, you can’t just summon an army out of thin air anymore; it needs to be logical.”
“I’m just struggling with this issue. I feel like my thinking is a bit restricted, and I need so shocking ideas from others.”
Rubbing his forehead and thinking for a long ti, Lan Guanghe decided to ask for external assistance.
After dialing a number, he waited a mont before the call was picked up, and a lazy voice said, “Hey, Uncle.”
“Yeah, what are you up to?”
“It’s two in the morning; what do you think I’m up to? Of course, I’m gaming.”
“Don’t drop dead from it. I have a question for you, if you were fighting soone, what would you do?”
There was silence on the other end for a while, then the voice said, “You’re asking ?”
“Just say sothing. You’re full of tricks; I want to hear your thoughts.”
The staff officer listening to their conversation felt that both of them were odd.
Who describes their nephew as full of trickery?
Are they really related?
The nephew on the phone went silent again, then yawned and said, “Drop a nuke on them, give them a fierce show of force, catch them completely off guard.”
“Nukes can’t be used this ti.”
“Then throw a teorite.”
“Magic can’t be used either.”
“If you can’t use this or that, you might as well throw a two-dinsional foil… wait a second, I’ve got an idea. You should read ‘Three-Body Problem,’ then go through all of Da Liu’s novels. There are quite a few science-fiction war ideas that are quite useful.”
“‘Three-Body Problem’ was actually recomnded by to you! Alright, I got it. You should get so sleep and stop gaming all the ti. It’s about ti you got a real job.”
“I make a million a year gaming; that’s the confidence gaming has given . What ‘real job’ do you see offering that much?”
“…Goodbye.”
After hanging up, the gar yawned and returned to the gaming pod, then dived back into the ga to grind with Liuzi and Wang.
anwhile, Lan Guanghe found an electronic version of ‘Three-Body Problem’ and began to study it seriously.
He continued reading until dawn, then closed the book with a look of epiphany on his face.
His half-closed eyes also opened, looking bright and spirited.
Seeing Lan Guanghe like this, the staff officer next to him had a foreboding feeling.
Run for it, Red Team!
Lan Guanghe has opened his eyes!
In the morning, when the first batch of Red Team’s tank units advanced towards the Blue Team’s headquarters, they witnessed a very strange sight.
In their view, the tanks in front were moving forward steadily until suddenly, after a jolt, they mysteriously fell to pieces.
The tanks seed sliced like playing cards, scattering piece by piece on the ground, with the drivers inside becoming pixelated mosaics, an eerie sight to behold.
All of this was an illusion given by the glasses, but these illusions were incredibly realistic, making them believe they had seen their tanks disintegrate and their army annihilated.
Not only the tanks in front, but the entire tank formation had fractured into playing cards, and the voice of the director group rang in their ears, “This unit has fallen into a trap and has been wiped out.”
“How is that possible!” exclaid the tank platoon leader incredulously, “Was it a landmine or sothing? We have a minesweeper.”
Glancing at the “blood and flesh” platoon leader, a mber of the director group turned away, lanting that the equipnt was too realistic.
Turning his back, he said to the other, “Your minesweeping was last night’s business.”
“That still doesn’t make it possible to lay the trap so quickly!”
“I didn’t say it was a landmine, but it definitely is a trap. Based on Lan Guanghe’s request and our discussion, the director group has deed such a trap feasible.”
Without letting the director group speak again, the “killed in action” platoon leader went to the roadside, and the area they had just passed was filled with rows of thin, almost invisible tallic wires.
These tal wires spread densely along their crucial path of advance; these were the devices that had shredded their tanks.
“tal wires? The Guzheng Plan?”
“That’s right, ‘Three-Body Problem,'” the director group nodded in confirmation.
He turned his head angrily and said, “Isn’t that just science fiction? Are we really using weapons from science fiction novels now?”
“The Blue Army is playing the theoretically strongest North Arica this ti, so it’s normal for them to have technological breakthroughs in materials. Alright, you’re already ‘dead’, please rest.”
“But… who could have expected this!”
“If you could predict everything, would it still be an exercise? Wait over there, and rember to drive your tank away.”
“The tank is shattered to pieces, how can I drive it!”
“You have a point… Well, then just lie on the ground and play dead.”
Glancing at the muddy ground, the company commander had no choice but to drive the tank away.
Full of frustration, the company commander returned to the headquarters after today’s exercise only to find a very sour mood in the room.
Confidence and morale that were previously built up had vanished, with every commander holding their heads and smoking, all looking very aggrieved.
The commander-in-chief stood at the front with crossed arms and tightly furrowed brows, leaving not a bit of space in between.
Upon seeing the company commander enter, he didn’t say much, just stated directly, “Today, we were utterly defeated. All the advantages we had accumulated have been wiped out; we can only start over from scratch.”
“How despicable!” one of the commanders said, covering his head. “What’s the deal with directed electromagnetic pulse bombs? Is there even such a thing?”
“The strongest North Arica might indeed have them,” another commander said resignedly. “We’ve even done simulations with it before.”
“But that’s a doomsday weapon! What’s the aning of using it as conventional weaponry now?”
“Your side still had it better. You don’t know about their logistics. They straightforwardly claim they are the strongest in North Arica, so it’s only natural for them to have so special logistical supplies.”
“Lan Guanghe…”
His na alone stirred waves of denunciation within the Red Army’s headquarters.
anwhile, Lan Guanghe, who was watching all this through the monitors, nodded in satisfaction.
Are you annoyed?
Good, you’re supposed to be!
There will be even more things coming your way that will piss you off!
As he browsed through the various weapons in his AR glasses, Lan Guanghe continued to search for different weapons and began to look forward to their application in the future.
While he kept searching, Fang Cheng also beca aware of the situation here.
He was originally calmly experiencing his revelation, but suddenly felt sothing was off. After arriving here, he realized that things were completely amiss.
Lan Guanghe summoned all sorts of bizarre weapons from his AR glasses; although they might not be too bizarre, each was more peculiar than the last, and all were made to the standards of “the strongest North Arica.”
Whether or not modern North Arica could actually produce them, no one knew, but Lan Guanghe didn’t care, using them recklessly to the fullest.
Under his direction, the Blue Army’s technological level skyrocketed, starkly creating the feeling of an industrial nation battling an agricultural one.
And because of his underhanded actions, the soldiers’ potential was further squeezed out.
They constantly thought about the possible weapons they might face, scouting even the most ordinary terrain repeatedly before advancing.
The lighthearted smiles of the Red Army vanished in the evening, each warrior pondering over the weapons that took them out today and how to counter them next ti, and how to carry out preliminary intelligence work.
The previously easy and joyful atmosphere was gone. Agony and perplexity took its place, giving the soldiers headaches as soon as they put on the glasses.
Now, the act was no longer a ga, but a mission they needed to commit to wholeheartedly.
Seeing this scene, Fang Cheng was speechless.
And upon calculating and discovering that the person providing advice to Lan Guanghe was Xien Waidao, Fang Cheng was rendered even more speechless.
Xien Waidao…
True to my nesis, why do you have to be everywhere?
With a sigh, Fang Cheng took a look around the site, shook his head with a bitter smile, and then left.
Although this round was a loss, he still felt that he gained quite a lot and looked forward to the next official ga.
Not long after Fang Cheng left, Lan Guanghe received another order that sounded completely unbelievable.
“Prepare for military exercises? With North Arica?”
Glancing at the receiver, Lan Guanghe felt as if the sun had risen from the west.
What’s going on now?
