Chapter 475: Chapter 280 We Won (Part 2)

The Goddess of rcy and the God of Judgnt floated on either side of their opponent, desperately trying to control this Demon God to prevent him from waking up too quickly. At the sa ti, they also controlled the entrance to the ninth-tier instance, allowing it to transport players here.

The opponent looked like a gigantic infant, except his body was unbelievably chubby, his obese flesh bulged with fat, making him resemble an oversized Michelin doll.

He didn’t even notice the five people who had arrived at his side, his attention was fixated on the planet in front of him, after all, that was his food.

Seeing such a creature, Xien Waidao realized his previous assumptions were sowhat naive.

“How the hell do we fight this thing! Even piloting a Gundam would be useless!”

“Let’s try attacking first.”

...

Liuzi was the first to strike, and with dual blades in hand, he lunged at the Demon God. The swords in his hands danced into an impenetrable net, enveloping the giant infant before him.

This move dealt nine digits of damage, but it only made the Demon God frown slightly, as the power on his body counterattacked automatically.

The tenfold counterattack vaporized Liuzi instantly, and his body disappeared on the spot.

A minute later, Liuzi returned to the spot, surprised to find that the wound he had inflicted had disappeared.

“What’s going on, is it a bug? Or does the boss have a setting that allows it to regenerate health after disengaging? If that’s the case, it’s impossible to fight.”

“It’s not.” Black Tech analyzed for a mont, “The opponent’s traits are very troubleso. First off, any attack automatically triggers a tenfold counterattack with fixed true damage, which is problematic. Then there’s the healing after the counterattack that erases the damage from the start, making it nearly impossible to inflict any harm.”

“Isn’t this just an invincible monster?”

“No, there’s a health bar, so there’s still a chance to fight,” said Xien Waidao. “Are there any other traits?”

“Yes, rapid health regeneration, Demon God’s gaze, summoning…”

Naming each trait one by one, Xien Waidao eventually felt there was no way to fight it.

After listing them, Black Tech thought for a while before saying, “The only way might be a massive sacrifice.”

“What do you an?”

“The original effect of Sacrifice Magic is to degrade levels in exchange for a significant temporary increase in strength. However, if we significantly enhance the effect of sacrifice, reducing levels to negatives, then we can trigger another bug. This bug will bypass most of the Demon God’s traits, but the end result is that while the damage sticks, the account is gone.”

The scene imdiately fell silent.

After a month of hard work, the accounts of Xien Waidao and Liuzi had reached max level, and their gear was all left over from continuously running instances and participating in the Blood Moon.

They had hoped to defeat the Demon God and then continue their happy grind, but they had run into such a situation here.

Fang Cheng Studio, you really did sothing.

After a long silence, Xien Waidao began transferring his equipnt.

He transferred all his spare equipnt to Liuzi and then said, “I started the main quest, so I guess it’s up to to finish it. I’ll create a new account later and co for the gear; I don’t believe I can’t outlast this boss with infinite restarts.”

“You might actually not outlast him,” Black Tech added. “This guy’s health is comparable to thousands of stars; no matter how strong you are, you can’t chop up a star.”

“…Fuck!”

After thinking for a long ti, Xien Waidao stood up and said, “I’ll talk about this in the Morals Aid Group. Anyway, I’m about done playing. If the account is gone, so be it. Liuzi, carry on.”

After transferring his equipnt over, Xien Waidao said to Mukuai 1234 on the side, “Log off for now, see you later.”

“Hmm… you’re pretty cool at tis like this.”

“Of course, see you.”

After seeing off Mukuai 1234, Xien Waidao started his magic, Sacrifice.

Repeatedly invoking Sacrifice Magic caused his level to plumt. Within seconds, his level dropped from one hundred to negative five.

But the rapid descent in level was exchanged for terrifying power.

He felt as though his body was burning up; the power of his equipnt rged with him, causing his blood to boil like molten magma.

“Co forth! Ultimate Bladder Sword!”

The power surrounding him transford into a burst of light at that mont and struck the Demon God before him, leaving a wound on the massive infant-like creature.

A tenfold counterattack was on its way, but before Xien Waidao could endure the blow, he completely vanished due to the effects of his sacrifice, leaving only a tombstone in his place.

When a character dies, a tombstone is left at the site of death; however, because players can resurrect, the inscriptions on the tombstones are often humorous.

But now, this tombstone symbolized the utter annihilation of a character, which made Liuzi struggle to find any humor in the situation.

After confirming that the wound on the adversary didn’t disappear, Liuzi handed over his and Xien Waidao’s spare equipnt to the Goddess of Art, then approached the Demon God.

His dual blades shone brightly as the Sacrifice Magic took effect. When he swung his two blades of light, Liuzi too dissipated completely, his equipnt disappearing along with his character.

All of these items were top-tier Divine Artifacts that had undergone extensive enchantnts and upgrades, but in the end, they all vanished.

The Goddess of Art also left the scene soon after, leaving Black Tech alone.

Black Tech sacrificed himself, turning his last ounce of strength into magic and infusing it into the Demon God’s body, then he too disappeared without a trace.

Before long, another group of players arrived at the scene.

They were mbers of the Morals Aid Group, who had co following a guide, only to see the announcents posted in their group chat.

Without hesitation, they activated their own sacrifices, launching their most powerful attacks at the Demon God in front of them and leaving their characters’ final epitaphs.

[To court death is to et death.]

[Are you guys serious?]

[I actually didn’t want to die, but the atmosphere was so intense, it felt wrong not to go through with it.]

A growing number of tombstones began to accumulate, the area slowly taking on the solemnity of a graveyard, symbolizing each player who had made their way there and then sacrificed themselves for the conclusion.

They had originally co to farm equipnt, but to witness the final outco, they sacrificed themselves and the hard-earned gear they had collected, raising their own patterns significantly.

The truth about the ninth-tier dungeon gradually spread, more and more players arrived at the place and left behind their strongest strikes, then vanished into thin air.

[My life is complete.]

[People die all the ti, so why not die at the most exhilarating mont?]

[A strike worth 99999, brothers, co and help slay the Demon God.]

As the players sacrificed themselves, the Demon God’s body accumulated wounds, and the intense pain began to rouse the Demon God from its slumber, making it aware of what was attacking it.

The Demon God’s roar echoed throughout the cosmos, its fury and agony driving it mad, and it lunged wildly towards the planet.

On the planet, players using ga capsules could even feel the gravity exerted by the Demon God; their bodies felt lighter, and debris even began to float skyward, falling into the mouth of the Demon God.

In this apocalyptic atmosphere, the players swung their blades with even more vigor.

The area behind the ninth-tier dungeon was now full of tombstones, almost every player having sacrificed themselves at least once. An abundance of epitaphs filled the space so densely that later arrivals had to disable the feature that allowed them to see epitaphs, in order to swing their mightiest blows at the Demon God.

The pale, infant-like creature had its eyes fully open now, with eyes full of greed and rage. The terrifying being strained to crawl towards the planet, as blood blossoms burst behind it one after another.

More entrances to the ninth-tier dungeons were triggered, and players began to enter frenetically, sacrificing themselves there. The thick health bar of the Demon God rapidly diminished under the relentless efforts of the players, finally reaching zero.

In the monts before total obliteration, the Demon God finally awoke completely.

It looked in disbelief at its own body, riddled with holes, unable to accept that it could fall here due to the sacrifices of re insects.

The lant of the Greed Demon Lord ultimately fell helplessly before the planet, only fifty kiloters away from fully devouring it.

Looking at the Demon God floating midair, the players sat exhausted on the ground, too tired even to cheer.

From the start of Liuzi and others’ assault on the Demon God to its eventual downfall, the entire event lasted thirty-two hours and twenty-three minutes, making it one of the longest boss fights in the history of gaming.

Over a million player characters perished, countless pieces of equipnt destroyed, it was the most costly final boss ever known in history.

But regardless,

We won.
