Chapter 384: Chapter 235: The Finish (Second Update)_1

“`

The location of the coordinates was extrely distant from the Iron Fortress.

Although Fang Cheng could have arrived at his destination quickly, he chose to slow down his pace and released the illusion of the Far Traveler to observe its actions.

A figure with a blurred face appeared beside Fang Cheng, struggling to walk in the outer cosmos.

The outer cosmos is not a peaceful place; it is a universe built by various deities and gods.

It is not naturally ford, and despite being reinforced by countless Immortals, its core remains unstable.

There once were other civilizations here, but they too must have been tainted by alien toxins, and the remnant ashes of their outbreak turned into shadows that filled the outer cosmos with dangerous mists.

These mists devour everything around them, and even if the Far Traveler were to be contaminated, it would be rapidly assimilated and would need to leave quickly.

Massive beasts road nearby, and occasionally, space itself would collapse, as the laws sustaining certain areas disintegrated rapidly for various reasons, creating vortices that consu all, including black holes. Without sufficient strength, encountering such an event ant certain death.

Deeper in, the dangers increased, with so shadows even giving birth to terrifying monsters. These monsters, corrupted in the shadows and deford for various reasons, beca entities that even the Far Traveler needed to avoid.

According to Fang Cheng’s calculations, the Far Traveler was probably much stronger than the Main Gods but still had a long way to go before reaching the level of the Heavenly Lords.

Yet this being, born from the collective consciousness of humanity, was exceptionally determined.

He was summoned by the call of Immortals and advanced tirelessly toward his destination, cautiously avoiding dangers and slowly making his way.

Along the way, he even encountered Far Travelers from other civilizations, occasionally joining forces, but lacking sufficient resolve, all but he eventually remained.

The vast outer cosmos was very lonely, with so areas devoid of stars, leaving only his light moving in the pitch-black world, advancing toward an unattainable goal.

After a hundred years of travel, this lonely wanderer finally reached his destination.

Fang Cheng didn’t know how the Far Traveler felt when it arrived here, but he himself felt sowhat disappointed.

There was no Immortal as he had expected, just an inconspicuous Taoist temple hall.

The temple bore distinct Tang Dynasty styles, with statues of the Divine Beasts, the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise, guarding the place, hidden by The Array of the Four Images so that outsiders would not discover it.

If not for the coordinates guiding him, Fang Cheng felt that it would have taken so effort to uncover this place.

The material of the great hall was quite ordinary, but the deployed Array of the Four Images was rather impressive, with the four Divine Beasts able to combine with each other to produce fifteen different variations.

These fifteen variations, in turn, overlaid by ti and space, transford into myriad forms, quite mystical.

Upon entering the great hall, Fang Cheng saw the illusion of the Far Traveler next to him rush into the hall eagerly and excitedly, but it ca to a sudden halt, staring in disbelief at the interior of the hall.

The walls inside the hall were filled with nas.

These nas were written in a variety of languages, each representing a different race.

These races fled from the outer world to the outer cosmos and, for various reasons, produced their own Far Travelers.

These Far Travelers, after enduring hardships, ca here and ultimately left only a symbol representing their civilization, forever engraved on the walls.

Looking around, Fang Cheng did not understand why these Far Travelers left their nas until an ancient voice spoke up, “Hello, distant visitor. I am the Supre Heavenly Lord. Look up in the corner, and you will see .”

Looking up, Fang Cheng saw “Supre Heavenly Lord” written in the corner in cursive script.

Feeling around, Fang Cheng realized the Immortal who wrote this na had long perished, leaving only a faint remnant within these four characters.

Whenever an outsider enters, this remnant would activate, ultimately awakening the voice of the Supre Heavenly Lord to explain the situation here.

“I’m sorry to et you in this way. If possible, I would like to appear before you as an Immortal and explain everything about this world, about our origins, your origins, and the deeper future. Alas, I have already fallen.”

“To protect this place, I had to sacrifice myself to keep it running smoothly. But it’s okay, I can still tell you what I know, so you understand why we ca here.”

“We were originally residents of the outside world, but we faced an invincible enemy. They ca from an even more terrifying world, and their vanguard possessed the power of Heavenly Lords. We barely won the preliminary battles, but afterward, we had to evacuate.”

“We did not know their objective, but the power of our enemies was too great, so we created the outer cosmos and hid here to protect ourselves. To conceal our tracks, we used Great Divine Power, Silent Ti.”

Hearing this, Fang Cheng nodded slightly.

He finally understood why the powers of the original universe had all disappeared.

Silent Ti is a Great Divine Power used for concealnt, extrely complex in effect. It erases oneself and related beings from history, rendering them nonexistent.

The deploynt of this Divine skill is quite intricate, and indeed, with the combined efforts of countless powers, they could erase their existence completely, vanishing without a trace from the original universe.
