Over the two dead bodies of the maid, one of them had suddenly began to crack and move. The tear that had cut half of the maid’s body slowly stuck to each other again, as if sewed into one creature.

Her eyes that had rolled to the back of her head, slowly turned itself back to stare straight again, brown yet it was hiding the bright shine of green underneath it. In an instant, the look of horror that once etched Jane’s face had disappeared, taking over by a sly smile that had now colored a new personality in her face.

"It’s getting difficult to just take one body to possess," humd the new "Emma" inside the body. She looked at her arms and sighed when she noted the size of her wrist, "Another thin one. This isn’t going to work for long."

And as she said that, Emma walked over the dead body of Jane, stepping over her body without the slightest concern and just as she was about to enter the servant’s quarter, as if recalling sothing, Emma stopped briefly and turned backward toward Jane’s body, "Ah, if soone find that body, they will once again suspect my location."

Sighing then Emma snapped her finger for a growling beast draped in the darkness of the night to let out a loud hiss.

"It’s your dinner, beasty," sang Emma with a wider smile and without having to look, she could hear the sound of beasty gnawing down on Jane’s body as though it was leftover at, burying its nose and fangs deep into the innards of Jane.

anwhile Emma had once again assud a new identity, entering the house of the servant innocently and greeting back those who had smiled to her with a smile.

When morning arrives, the old gardener who had walked over the spot of where Jane and Emma was killed found when he saw blood. But he didn’t imdiately guessed that soone was killed there. After all there was many cases where a vampire would store blood in a bucket and the maid would slip and fall, spilling it over.

So what the gardener only muttered in annoyance was, "Damn it, they should have cleaned after their ss."

anwhile, Emma who was watching above from the balcony of the servant quarter was smiling softly.

"Emma, are you not going to talk to Tyler?" A voice of a servant appeared and Emma shook her head. "You have been so quiet the past night, is your voice alright?"

Chuckling, Emma shrugged, "I just have the slightest sore throat, but why do you want to talk to Tyler?"

"Well you two ended things on a bad note, didn’t you? He was sobbing to us last night, hoping to find for a way where he could fix the problem. Though it was indeed his fault and I know you would hate to apologize first, so I told him to talk to you, but I have to hear first whether you wanted to talk with him."

"I don’t," Emma answered with a smile, "But that wasn’t the only reason why you ca here right?"

The girl wondered why Emma felt different today, colder, callous, and curt. But not wanting to say anything as heartbreak was always so painful, all the girl did in return was smile, "You’re right! Miss Karnala wanted to call every new maids to the hall. A new training to prevent more deaths she said."

Emma raised her eyebrow wondering in her head what that child born of incest wanted from her.

Slightly annoyed, Emma masked her expression and followed the girl to the hall where everyone had made seven line that reached to the other end of the wall. Standing before all those new servants was Karnala. Her uniform had a red apron instead of white, a sign that she had beca the new head of all the maids.

While everyone was wondering what they have to do, Karnala had passively flipped through the pages on a wooden board, ordering one of the quiet servant what they have to do before turning her sharp eyes toward the rest of the new servants.

Imdiately the once noisy chatters quieted down.

The new servants felt the chill that ran down their spine when their eyes t Karnala and although she hadn’t said the word, her quiet stare imdiately brought everyone to silence.

Emma smiled when seeing Karnala’s behavior, smiled in a mockery.

"As everyone have known, the castle has been in a dangerous ti due to the attack from witches," said Karnala briefly, "The King wish to have no more blood of the servants to be spilled and thus, Lady Arabella had proposed a new way of protecting us."

The servants looked at each other before one of the male servant imdiately raised his hand up and shouted, "May I have a question, Miss Karnala!"

"Go on."

"Do you an that Lady Arabella would personally give us all protection?" the male servant looked at the others and muttered, "With her witchery power?"

"Indeed," answered Karnala, "But in contradiction to what you think, she won’t personally guard you of course. We could never bother her with such issue. Her concern toward everyone here however is undivided and so she had planned to offer everyone here a bracelet that would repel terrible energy, a bracelet that would create shield when your life is in danger."

"A shield..." everyone looked at each other, nodding at the thought of receiving such protection when truthfully they were all in fear of the death that had occured to one of the servants. Since it was free and a rcy from such a lady witch, they all agreed to the idea imdiately.

"But it won’t be easy to make the bracelet and so each one of you is requested to offer a drop of blood from your body. The servant beside , Yulia would be the one to prick all of you with a needle and let the blood fall to this flask. Any other question?"
