*ALORA*
Was I overthinking or has Caden been acting really strange lately?
For the past three days, he barely ca ho, barely spoke long to on the phone or texts .
He said there was an ongoing project at his company that was taking most of his ti.
Sure, I was supportive of him and I was trying not to disturb him too much to give him all the ti he needed for his work.
But I just wish he could make so ti for , maybe a little ti.
Did he even have the ti to eat?
I hoped he wasn’t skipping his als.
On the fourth day, I couldn’t take it anymore. I had Es cook up different dishes, after filling them into lunch boxes, I headed for his company.
Since it was already known that I was his wife, I just headed straight to his office on getting to his company.
I knocked and then led myself in.
“Caden?” I called as I walked in.
“Alora.” He stood up from his desk, looking surprised to see .
“What are you doing here? Why didn’t you tell you were coming?”
“You might not answer the phone.” I stared at his desk which was littered with different docunts. “I know work is extrely important but you have to still make ti for yourself, for .” I scolded softly as I moved closer to him, placing the lunch box on the table.
My heart sank seeing the dark circles under his eyes.
I slowly cupped his cheeks. “That’s it. You’re coming ho with today.”
He exhaled and then hugged , his arms tightened around .
I smiled and wrapped my arms around him.
“I missed you too.” I replied.
Suddenly, I felt his shoulder tremble and then I heard him sniff.
Was he...
I quickly disengaged from him and he really was crying.
He looked away from , wiping his eyes.
“Caden? What is it?” I asked.
He shook his head. “I...” His lips quivered as more tears fell from his eyes.
I could literally feel my heart bleeding seeing him cry like this.
“Caden? What is it? Is the company having problems? Talk to .” I urged, taking hold of his hands.
He shook his head again. “You...you won’t understand.”
“I will, co on, talk to .” He slumped on his swivel chair in a sitting position.
I moved closer to him and squatted down.
Holding his hands, I cooed. “Caden, I’m your wife. You can tell anything. And I’ll do everything to make you feel better so co on, talk to , my love.”
He sniffed, and I could see he was trying to stop crying.
I slowly sat on his laps and cupped his cheeks, wiping his tears away.
“Please talk to , I don’t like seeing you like this. It’s making really sad.” I said, trying to fight against crying.
I had to make him feel better. Even if seeing him cry was making emotional, I had to be strong for him.
He stared at , intently for a mont before admitting.
“It’s the company...it...isn’t doing well, my stocks are dropping.”
If that had made him cry, that ant the state of the company was very bad then.
“I could invest in the company.” I offered.
He stared at , incredulously.
“Don’t underestimate your wife, I have a lot of funds.” I said, playfully.
He cupped my cheek. “Don’t worry about it. I can handle this.”
“Caden, I know you wanna say you can handle it and you want to be a man blah blah blah. But it doesn’t make you less of a man of get help from your wife. I really want to help you.”
He pulled to himself and leaned against .
“Your presence is enough for . It’s just been a hard couple of days for but I’m sure I can turn things around.” He assured.
“Caden, let ...”
“Alora, I don’t need your funds.”
I sighed, not wanting to force him.
“Then promise you’d co to for help if anything goes wrong. I don’t want you looking so broken.”
“I’m sorry for making you worried.” He said.
I reached for the lunchbox, shifted so files and opened them.
“I’m going to feed you now so your morale will be high to conquer this difficulty.” I cheered.
He smiled at and I was grateful for that smile.
“Say ahh.”
He opened his mouth and let feed him. He ate a lot and I was so happy.
“It’s okay if you can’t co ho tonight.” I said after we both finished eating.
Though, I missed him on our bed and badly wanted him ho but I could understand if his schedule couldn’t permit that.
“I can. I will go ho with you.” He said.
I smiled, delightfully
“I love you, Alora. I love you so much. Never doubt that, okay?” He said.
“I won’t.” I assured. “I love you, Caden.”
