Akaris appeared in a world of deep red, even the sky above was as red as blood. He looked around the place and took a deep breath and the sll of iron assaulted his nose.

High above the blood red clouds floated a massive red moon so huge it looked like it was going to crash on the world.

However the moon was not what troubled him, he was standing on a tiny island only about 200 tres across.

Around him for as far as he could see, there was only an ocean, a crimson ocean of blood.

He could see bones floating in this sea of blood, so as huge as houses. Without a second thought he took a fighting stance with his bow in hand.

Akaris summoned his echo, the tall muscular ogre appeared next to him, he handed it the great sword.

He stood back to back with the echo, then he used inspect on the ocean but all he saw were question marks.

However his instincts told him the sea was dangerous, extrely dangerous. He bent down and ripped off a tiny piece of the ground.

He threw it a hundred tres away and it splashed on the sea, a mont later sothing jumped out.

The blood ocean exploded out sending waves in every direction, they saw a gigantic creature jumping through the air.

When he saw its stats he took a sharp breath, the monster looked like a gigantic shark around 40 tres long.

On it back there was a massive of disgusting tentacles flailing through the air with enough force to cause the air to explode.

Its body looked like a rotting corpse with so parts of its flesh missing with only the bones remaining.

However what confused him were its stats, he could understand will and vitality being zero.

An undead will naturally have zero will as will requires a sense of self, independent thoughts and possibly desires as well.

Vitality represented life force, how fast one can regenerate also fell under this so it being zero also makes sense.

What he couldn’t understand was why endurance was so low, from his understanding of the undead, they had inexhaustible stamina.

’ Does endurance not represent stamina?’ he couldn’t help but wonder. Not understanding the full aning of stats was starting to be troubleso.

However he didn’t let those thoughts distract him. He paid full attention to the rotting shark.

It crashed on the ocean causing a giant splash then disappeared under. He waited for a few seconds but it did not show up.

He sighed with relief and relaxed a bit then moved to the centre of the island, being this close to the ocean was dangerous.

He sat down and checked his status screen again, he was bored out of his mind and in the anti he was brainstorming ways to leave this place.

The extra stats from Giant Slayer were gone and since light bringer was not equipped, it didn’t show in the status screen.

He looked around the island but found nothing useful. He felt frustration boil inside him.

" How the fuck am I supposed to get out of here?" This trial seems unfair but he knew he wouldn’t be given a trail that was unbeatable.

aning there was a way to cross this seemingly endless ocean. " Should I swim?"

That idea sounded stupid even to him, disregarding the possibility of thousands of monsters under there.

Swimming through a sea of blood did not sound like a healthy thing to do. With nothing to do and no ideas.

He cancelled echo, keeping it active was draining his mana with each second. He sat there alone like a lost shadow.

After a few minutes he stood up and summoned light bringer then started practicing his swordsmanship.

Light bringer did not feel too light nor too heavy in his hands, it was just the right weight and right size.

Wielding it he could feel his swordsmanship improving with each swing and each stab, at this rate it wouldn’t take him long to beco a master.

He continued swinging his sword, occasionally he would adjust his stance, this was a sign of improvent.

( Swordsmanship has reached level 9.) He took a deep breath, even after swinging the sword for more than three hours, his arms did not even sore.

With the improvent of his swordsmanship he seed to receive insight, he saw the faults in his stance and realised how wasteful his movents are.

He was not maximising his strength and agility, a sword swing should both be strong and fast.

Not to ntion the way he swinged his sword was wasting his stamina while not maximising the effects.

He gained insights on how to fix that, a sword swing was not only about the arms.

Swordsmanship required the use of one’s entire body. The legs, the waist and even the head.

Even ones breathing rhythm could effect their swordsmanship. These new insights if used in conjecture with his future sight.

He could beco a really dangerous swordman, unfortunately he preferred archery then swordsmanship.

Swordsmanship was only a ans to an end because his enemies won’t always be far enough for him to use his bow.

They could get close and things would get dangerous, he needed so way to defend himself then and swordsmanship seems like a good choice.

He held his claymore with both hands and was about to continue his practice when the blood sea churned.

The blood moon lood above his head like it was waiting for judgnt. He waited for whatever is to co with bated breaths.

Then they ca from the sea like a wave without end. Their flesh as red as blood with eyes drenched in savagery of the purest magnitude.
