"Missed ? If you really missed , how co you didn’t call or even video call once during this ti?"
Hearing Mr. Thompson’s words, Charlotte Thompson couldn’t help but smile.
If you really compare, her grandfather is probably more childish than the kids.
Sure enough, just as Charlotte was thinking this, Hank Thompson had already walked up to Mr. Thompson, looking very serious as he said:
"It’s not fair, we wanted to video call you, great-grandfather, but there’s a ti difference between countries, and we have to go to kindergarten. By the ti we get ho, you’ve already gone to bed, great-grandfather. We didn’t want to disturb you, but we really miss you."
"Yes, yes, as soon as we heard great-grandfather ca back, we imdiately ca to see you, didn’t we?" Olivia Thompson chid in sweetly.
The kids’ back-and-forth endearnts naturally brought a broad smile to Mr. Thompson’s face.
"That’s more like it, co in quickly, great-grandfather prepared lots of delicious treats for you."
Mr. Thompson smiled as he welcod the children into the villa and then looked up at Charlotte walking towards him. Before he could speak, Charlotte knew what he wanted to ask.
"Justin will co a little later."
"I figured that boy from the Battleson Family wouldn’t dare not to co," Mr. Thompson said matter-of-factly, raising his eyebrows slightly.
Hearing this, Charlotte walked forward and took Mr. Thompson’s arm, supporting him, "But Grandpa, why did you suddenly want to see Justin?"
Faced with Charlotte’s inquiry, Mr. Thompson paused for a mont, then glanced at her and spoke softly:
"What, are you worried I will make things difficult for him?"
"Of course, I’m not worried about that, I’m just curious. After all, Grandpa, you’ve never wanted to seek out Justin before." Charlotte shook her head with a smile.
"Although I’ve co back from Ashton after handling company matters, truth be told, our main company’s developnt base is still back there. Even though I’m in Druarus now, I can’t stay for long."
Mr. Thompson said as he and Charlotte entered the villa, he glanced at the children playing in the living room, a smile appearing on his face.
However, there was a trace of disappointnt in Charlotte’s mood.
"Grandpa, are you going to return to Priocia soon?"
"Didn’t I co to Druarus with those boys from the family because of you? Now that you’ve decided to stay in Druarus, we won’t object."
Mr. Thompson spoke, patting Charlotte’s hand, but before Charlotte could feel a pang of lancholy, what Mr. Thompson said next left her stunned.
"So, I plan to go back to Ashton after attending your wedding with Justin Battleson."
"Wedding?" Charlotte exclaid, surprised.
"Although you and that boy from the Battleson Family have reconciled, you both seem not to have registered for marriage, right?"
Mr. Thompson’s words reminded Charlotte that even though she and Justin Battleson had reunited and were together now, their relationship was deeply genuine, but technically... she and Justin were just "forr spouses."
"Back then, your grandmother left with your mom, and that’s been my life’s greatest regret. I didn’t get to witness my daughter’s growth, and now that I’ve finally found you, Grandpa doesn’t want to miss out anymore..."
