670: Chapter 670: Enemies remain Enemies 670: Chapter 670: Enemies remain Enemies Lisa knew that it wouldn’t be easy to secure a generous donation from Gu Fan, so she laughed and said, “You can think about it, but ti waits for no one.

When the sea floods this island, you will have nowhere to escape.

Either you fall into the hands of the Wandering Sea Ghosts, or into the hands of the strange lizards, or into the hands of others.”

Su Hui frowned, “Are there still other people on this island?”

Lisa nodded, “Of course, and there are far more than you might think.

This island is incredibly dangerous.

If you’re here to explore it, I have so advice for you; you have co to the wrong place.

I do admire that you defeated the sea serpent and the giant squid, but so long as the Wandering Sea Ghosts are guarding it, you are utterly powerless in the sea below.”

At these words, Gu Fan was puzzled, “Why would we be in the sea below?

Why would we fight with the Wandering Sea Ghosts in the depths of the sea?”

“Well… what I an is, you could accidentally fall into the sea.” Lisa stamred, trying to smooth over her previous statent, but Gu Fan had a feeling that Lisa had inadvertently let sothing slip.

“Okay, think it over.

If there are no other problems, I’m going to sleep for a while.” Lisa said, humming a tune, carefree and relaxed.

Gu Fan and Su Hui discussed a bit, Gu Fan decided they couldn’t let Lisa continue to absorb his Qi, as he was almost at his limit.

Just then, a few low growls reached their ears.

It seed that the strange lizards had located Gu Fan and Su Hui and were rushing over quickly.

Their thunderous charge conveyed a ssage to Gu Fan and Su Hui; there was no escaping this.

Sure enough, two monstrous lizards charged towards Su Hui.

She took down the first one with three quick shots.

The second lizard swung its claw, sending Su Hui flying and knocking the gun out of her hand, even bending the barrel of the gun.

Su Hui crashed into a stone wall, every part of her body ached.

She held back the pain, dodging the lizard’s onslaught, leaving the behemoth to strike the earth and leaving a deep gash.

Despite Su Hui’s skill, there was a significant gap in terms of strength, speed, and explosiveness.

She was injured and without a proper weapon, how could she fight against a creature ard with sharp teeth and claws?

The monstrous lizard didn’t give Su Hui a chance to catch her breath, and charged her again, its terrifying approach struck fear into her heart.

Su Hui turned and started to run, aware that she couldn’t hope to outrun the lizard, she picked up a rock and sprang towards the beast, pushing off the stone wall and using it as leverage to throw herself towards the lizard.

The lizard charged too fiercely and couldn’t stop in ti, surprised that Su Hui would counter charge, it was defenseless as Su Hui swung the rock.

With both hands, Su Hui gripped the rock and brought it down onto the lizard’s skull, and knocked it right onto the ground.

“Sister Su, catch!” Gu Fan tossed an electric baton to Su Hui, who caught it and jamd it onto the lizard, causing it to spasmodically twitch.

Seeing that the lizard was temporarily incapacitated and likely down for a while, Su Hui let out a sigh of relief and gave Gu Fan a thankful look.

Just when Su Hui was about to flee with Gu Fan, she saw the horror on Gu Fan’s face and slled an acrid odour behind her.

Who would have thought that the monstrous lizard they had just knocked over had already gotten back on its feet, sweeping its tail and sending Su Hui flying once again.

The strength of the monstrous lizard was overwhelming.

Su Hui was hit hard once again, crashing into a stone wall.

The pain was heart-wrenching; she couldn’t get up, and Gu Fan alone didn’t have the ability to save her.

Their situation was perilous.

Seeing its prey subdued, the monstrous lizard moved slowly towards them, its blood-red tongue licking its lips, as if it was about to enjoy a delicious feast.

Suddenly, the lizard felt a tug on its tail.

Looking back, it saw Lisa gripping it with one hand, a smile beaming on her face, “Sorry, but you’re wasting this woman.”

The monstrous lizard charged Lisa, furious.

Lisa, however, seed unperturbed, gripped the lizard’s tail, and flipped it over acrobatically.

Struggling to her feet, Su Hui watched Lisa battle the monstrous lizard in disbelief.

Just a while ago, Lisa had virtually no strength left, but now she appeared to be bursting with might.

“Could it be…,” Su Hui considered a possibility and glanced towards Gu Fan.

She noticed that Gu Fan was kneeling on the ground, looking rather unwell.

Indeed, at this crucial mont, Gu Fan had allowed Lisa to draw a substantial amount of his Qi.

In return, Lisa displayed unparalleled valour in her fight against the monstrous lizard, she even managed to twist and snap the lizard’s neck.

“You know who I am now, yet you still dare resist.” Lisa tossed the lizard to the side, then turned to look at an injured Su Hui and Gu Fan, who was barely hanging onto life.

Lisa smiled, amused at her position of power, “What should I do?

I have the upper hand now; what do you think I should do with you two?”

Gu Fan gave a wry smile, “Do what you will with us, but if you break your promises, I swear I’ll never trust another woman again in my lifeti.”

“Is it that serious?” Lisa laughed awkwardly, then moved to Su Hui’s side.

With every step Lisa took, it made Gu Fan and Su Hui’s hearts pound.

To their surprise, Lisa didn’t attempt to draw Su Hui’s Qi, instead, she helped Su Hui up and gave her a conspiratorial smile, “You are a handful.

Seeing you as a potential threat, this foolish lad didn’t hesitate in letting extract his Qi.

He was willing to risk everything in order to save you.”

Moved by Lisa’s words, Su Hui looked over at Gu Fan, “How’s he doing?

He’s not in danger, is he?”

Lisa looked somber, “To save you, there’s always a price to be paid.”

Su Hui felt a sinking feeling, “Could it be…” She looked over to Gu Fan who was forcing a smile, “I’m fine, just a bit tired.

I firmly believe I’ll bounce back from this.”

Su Hui felt a pang of guilt.

Lisa, on the other hand, was curious, “I must ask, what’s your relationship?

Gu Fan, you are too considerate of her, willing to risk everything, are you in love with her?”

Gu Fan shook his head, “Lisa, you are misunderstanding.

We are just lifeti friends, nothing more.”

“Really?” Lisa seed unconvinced, she further probed, “I’ve lived for many years, captured many people, and t many who claid to be ‘lifeti friends’, yet none of them behaved like you two.

Tell , what’s your actual relationship?”

With a bitter expression, Gu Fan pleaded, “Enough, big sis.

Look how energetic you are now; that’s a result of my sacrifice.

Please don’t give us a hard ti.”

“Alright, I’ll let it go this ti.” Lisa finished, looking triumphant after taking control of the situation.
