At this mont, in the command center of the Tower of Darkness, Ning Qi stared at the screen, looking at Gu Fan with an unwavering and imnsely expectant expression. Ning Qi didn’t know what kind of complex feelings were stirring in her heart.

The others looked towards Ning Qi, calling out, "Sister Ning Qi!" as if they had placed all their hopes on her.

What is the right choice, Ning Qi kept asking herself. What should she do to be correct?

After weighing the pros and cons, Ning Qi picked up the microphone and smiled faintly, "Gu Fan, you say you’ve co to stop the big villain, but doesn’t that seem contradictory? Because you will beco the big villain in the future too. Once you beco the big villain, will you still do what you believe is wrong? I want to ask, why would the big villain do sothing they used to oppose?"

This question was a good one. Gu Fan was rendered speechless, unsure how to respond.

Seeing Gu Fan’s silence, the remoulded persons and vampires thought everything Gu Fan had said before was nonsense and lies.

Just when the remoulded persons and vampires began to tighten their encirclent and show signs of aggression, a fleeting sharpness crossed Gu Fan’s eyes, as if a powerful force was about to erupt, scaring them back a step.

Gu Fan smiled again at the cara, "Ning Qi, no matter what, I believe you can make the right choice."

"Haha, then I can only say I’m sorry. Today, I must defeat you here." Ning Qi’s voice rang out over the broadcast, with a tone of triumph that made it certain she wouldn’t side with Gu Fan.

Ouyang Jin, observing the many hostile eyes around, was suddenly dejected, "Crap, I bet on the wrong side. I really regret it. Is it too late for to change my bet?"

"What’s there to fear? Don’t forget, I have the Destiny Stone Body Guard. I won’t fall here." Gu Fan stood tall with an air of confidence.

To this, Ouyang Jin was utterly perplexed, "Tell , Gu Fan, where does all this confidence co from?"

"Because you can stand by my side, and so can Ning Qi. Many things have been arranged long ago." Gu Fan’s words left Ouyang Jin more puzzled.

In the command center, Ning Qi watched the screen, seeing Gu Fan remaining calm and composed. Ning Qi couldn’t fathom what Gu Fan intended to do. Did Gu Fan really naively believe Ning Qi would stand by his side?

Suddenly, a subordinate finally erupted, "Sister Ning Qi, are we really going to continue down this wrong path? I joined the X Legion hoping to follow the big villain in building a better world, but now? We’re going to destroy the whole world. I can’t do it."

"Shut up!" Ning Qi snapped angrily, not allowing her subordinates to question her choices.

Soone else wanted to speak but was silenced by Ning Qi’s cold, harsh gaze, swallowing back their words in fright.

But there was always soone brave enough to stand up, leaving in fury, "Sorry, Sister Ning Qi, I can’t sit idly by and watch. I don’t want to live the rest of my life in guilt. We clearly have a chance to change everything."

"Wait, co back!" Ning Qi tried to stop him, but he was too quick.

The door to the command center opened, and before the person could leave, they bumped into Ao Sai.

"I was uneasy, so I ca to check, to avoid encountering another traitor like Ouyang Jin." Ao Sai stepped in, making the person retreat step by step in fear.

Everyone in the command center feared and hated Ao Sai, lowering their gazes, not daring to et his eyes.

Ao Sai scanned the room, sensing sothing was amiss, and asked, "What’s wrong with you all? Ning Qi, there should be no problems here, right? I can continue trusting you, can’t I?"

Ning Qi nodded, "Don’t worry, everything here is under my control. I won’t let you down."

Hearing this, Ao Sai turned his gaze to the person in front of him, asking, "Where are you going?"

The person was terrified, slightly trembling, and couldn’t muster the courage to speak.

"If everything’s fine here, then I feel relieved. Continue working as if I were never here." With that, Ao Sai turned to leave, and before leaving, he looked back at Ning Qi, who was standing still, and reminded her, "Ning Qi, rember, while in the X Legion, you’ve done many unforgivable things for us, like killing Qian Ying."

"I know, no need for reminders." Ning Qi replied coolly, secretly clenching her fists.

Finally, Ao Sai left, and those unpleasant mories resurfaced in Ning Qi’s mind.

Long, long ago, Gu Fan and Ao Sai swept across the land together, unbeatable. Many powers vanished into dust under the onslaught of the X Legion.

The Shennv Xuanhui, the Hunter’s Guild, along with so surviving forces, ford the final coalition, fighting to the death against the X Legion.

The battle was brutal, with countless casualties. Seeing her side at a disadvantage, Ning Qi considered surrendering, as she didn’t want to die.

As a result, Ning Qi faced ridicule and contempt, accused of cowardice and treachery.

Back then, Ning Qi retorted, believing this was not a just war, but rely a power struggle over territory, so aligning with any side was acceptable to her.

During the subsequent battles, Qian Ying manipulated many from the X Legion to launch counterattacks, causing trouble for Ao Sai and the big villain.

Seeing the unfavorable situation, Ning Qi secretly pledged allegiance to the X Legion, with her first order being to eliminate Qian Ying, as a show of commitnt.

At that mont, Ning Qi didn’t hesitate, wanting only to survive, willing to sacrifice others. After all, she was forced into the Shennv Xuanhui; they never treated her as a sister, more like a subordinate.

Moreover, everyone’s mockery of her cowardice incited Ning Qi to act.

So, Ning Qi made a resolute decision to defeat Qian Ying, yet spared her life, hoping to give her a chance to escape.

But in Ao Sai’s eyes, Qian Ying was a threat, so he acted personally to eliminate Qian Ying, framing Ning Qi for it, inciting more hatred to bind Ning Qi to the X Legion.

From that mont on, Ning Qi knew there was no going back, she could only follow the dark path. She knew many despised her, calling her a traitor who’d sell out friends to survive.

Even within the X Legion, many looked down on her for such a betrayal, making her feel the disdainful gazes wherever she went, leaving her uncomfortable.
