Chapter 375: Chapter 302: Must Make a Strong Move! Chapter 375: Chapter 302: Must Make a Strong Move! The female cosplayer’s complintary goody bag was quite rich—so chocolates, a small Character Badge, several character postcards, and a palm-sized mini teddy bear.
Wu Mu looked at the mini teddy bear and chuckled, “This little bear really fits the scene.”
Now, the female cosplayer was truly convinced he had seen the work, blushing with a bit of excitent and embarrassnt, “I made it myself, it’s not very good.”
Considering that Wu Mu and his company were celebrities, she quickly added, “The candies are brand-na chocolates, inside the paper packaging there’s another layer, so you can eat them with confidence.”
It wasn’t unusual for free snacks to be distributed at the comic convention, but eating strangers’ food always involved so risk; hence, so people went out of their way to buy more securely packaged treats.
“It’s a great replica, thank you, teacher.” Wu Mu smiled, hanging the little bear onto his clothing pocket’s zipper as he spoke.
The female cosplayer was already getting starry-eyed.
Wu Mu and Jin Huiyan continued walking inside, today was indeed an open day, no tickets needed.
After entering the venue, the crowd grew denser.
With the increase in people, it was inevitable that so knew they were filming a show and were currently wanted throughout the city.
Jin Huiyan turned pale as she watched the people around them non-stop taking photos and then typing sothing on their phones afterward, “They’re clearly reporting our whereabouts to the police!”
Damn, their location must already be in the police’s hands.
Jin Huiyan was anxious. If it were just her, she would definitely make a run for it before the police got moving, leaving the nearby area far behind.
But that partner beside her…
Wu Mu strolled about as if nothing was amiss, occasionally stopping in front of fan booths to browse through the fan-drawn books.
Even conversing with the booth owners about favorites, and if it happened that the booth owner’s English was poor, all sorts of broken English like “wery goot” and “beautifor” would spill out.
Not only that, but whenever he found an interesting cosplayer, he would eagerly run up to take a photo for his collection.
Man, are you seriously here to enjoy the convention?
Do you even rember you’re on a reality show?
Do you realize you’re being hunted down by the whole city, and the cops are about to nab you?
Jin Huiyan was beginning to wonder if this guy had given up hope on escaping and was purposely ssing around to scrape up more screen ti for himself.
Of course, Wu Mu wasn’t here to deliberately botch things up.
First, he was here to freeload everyone’s complintary gifts.
It was customary at conventions for cosplayers, fan artists, and even ordinary folk to co prepared with complintary gifts.
There were no rules about what to put in the freebies; basically, anything one found interesting was fine. Normally, the goody bags contained snacks, fan rchandise, and small useful personal items.
Nothing too valuable.
After all, they were given out for free.
An average convention-goer could hope to receive, at most, around forty to fifty items in a day.
But Wu Mu, who was the center of attention… As soon as people noticed Wu Mu accepting freebies, more and more ca forward with their prepared goodies to give to him.
Small contributions added up to a substantial amount.
At least he wouldn’t be short on snacks for the day after picking out the edible ones.
As for disguises, they also got a pack of masks.
But wearing only a mask was still too obvious, and they would be recognized instantly.
They needed sothing more concealing.
While browsing the convention, Wu Mu also kept an eye on the surroundings.
After finishing his stroll, he picked out a notebook from the received freebies.
Then he turned to Jin Huiyan, “Ms. Jin Huiyan, could you sign your na in this notebook? And perhaps add a few words of blessing.”
Huh?
What does that an?
After a mont of surprise, Jin Huiyan took the notebook, first signed her na, and then, uncertain about what words of blessing to write, she asked, “What kind of blessing should I write?”
“Just sothing related to life, happiness, things like that. How about this, I’ll recite and you write.”
Wu Mu rummaged through his mory for an English poem, “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by.”
Jin Huiyan paused slightly, “That sounds quite philosophical, which poem is it from?”
“Forgot where I saw it,” Wu Mu answered offhandedly.
After Jin Huiyan finished writing, Wu Mu took the notebook and randomly stopped a passerby with a smile, “Hello, do you understand English? We’re playing a ga of ‘Barter Kings.’ Can we exchange this notebook for sothing of similar value that you don’t want?”
Huh?
Ah?
The passerby was sowhat taken aback.
Jin Huiyan too was taken aback by his action.
Wu Mu was still selling, “See, this notebook has the autograph of the great star Jin Huiyan and her English blessing. You recognize her, right? Your South Korean super goddess, it’s quite a collector’s item.”
What on earth are you doing?
Aren’t you blatantly using your celebrity advantage here?
This is a bit too much of a violation, isn’t it?
The director couldn’t help wanting to speak up.
But Wu Mu seed to anticipate his reaction, and while glancing at him out of the corner of his eye, he continued, “Of course, the autograph and blessings are just extras; don’t mind them. You only need to offer an item of similar value to the notebook itself. If it’s obviously too valuable, we won’t accept it.”
The stopped passerby, obviously tempted by the autograph and blessing on the notebook, hesitated and then said in halting English, “Let look for sothing.”
Then, after digging through her bag for a while, she held out a small hand mirror, “Would this work?”
