Additionally, around the hall, there floated so white mist, like clouds in the sky, slowly drifting nearby. Occasionally, they would condense into a form and then gradually disperse, coalescing into new shapes in the distance, repeating the cycle endlessly.

Interestingly, these white mists ford small creatures from the Star Spirit World, including birds, fish, insects, cattle, and sheep. However, they were all harmless creatures, aimlessly wandering around the hall, seeming not dangerous, so Mu You paid them no mind.

Taking in the scene, Mu You had already understood.

This was clearly the ’command center’ of the World-Creating Mountain, similar to the source of a server.

The instrunts surrounding the area resembled external devices like keyboards and mice, allowing administrators to adjust various settings within the light spheres without affecting their operation.

However, these instrunts had no explanatory text. Without a manual, randomly operating them could cause unknown consequences, let alone accurately shutting down sothing like the Great Cataclysm. Without first understanding the operating logic of the light spheres, it’s simply impossible.

Fortunately, Ava had anticipated this early on, and bringing it here was for this very mont.

"Ava." Mu You called out.

"Understood." Ava was already prepared, detaching from Mu You’s body and floating to the front of the light sphere.

From the helt, thin energy threads like strands of hair extended out, stretching far, and eventually probing into the light sphere.

Streams of information began converging into Ava’s intelligence core.

"Data parsing in progress, progress: 0.5%...1%...1.5%..."

Ava reported the implentation progress.

What relieved Mu You was that the parsing speed was much faster than expected. At the rate Ava was reporting, it would take about two minutes to reach 100%, leaving plenty of ti.

However, just less than two seconds after Ava started parsing data, Mu You suddenly felt a trepidation from behind. He hurriedly rolled on the spot, but was still a step late. A fiery pain shot across his back.

Mu You rolled to his feet, quickly turned his head back, and saw a scene that made his scalp tingle.

A deer ford of black mist stood where he’d been, baring its teeth at him.

This deer seed to be a phantom, without any physical body. This was evident since his Akashiro battle suit on his back was undamaged, but his HP had inexplicably dropped by a whole 1000 points after contact with the deer.

"Armor-piercing attack?"

Mu You was sowhat uncertain.

There was no ti to think further; the blackened deer across from him had already planted its front hooves on the ground, raising its antlers, and charged at him.

If it were just this one odd creature, Mu You wouldn’t be too nervous.

The critical issue was that this creature was far from alone.

The mont Ava started parsing the data, all the small creatures originally ford by the white mist nearby instantly blackened into these black creatures, as if they had lost a loved one, frantically charging at Mu You.

Mu You hurriedly dodged, while the Hell Knife materialized in his hand, slashing out.

A small crescent-shaped Sword Qi whistled across, accurately slicing the deer, which imdiately shattered into pieces and disappeared.

Mu You breathed a sigh of relief; luckily, these things were destructible and seed very weak, as a random slash could deal with them.

Of course, even so, the situation didn’t look optimistic.

The black mist creatures around the hall continued to generate endlessly, most of them charging toward Mu You, while so headed straight for the helt in mid-air.

Mu You urgently swung his knife again and again, with nurous Sword Qi forming around him, constantly shredding one black mist beast after another, especially near Ava. He couldn’t let these things affect Ava’s actions.

This seed to be the World-Creating Mountain’s self-defense chanism. Once soone touched the core light sphere illegally, these creatures would automatically generate, attacking until the intruder was either killed or driven away.

Luckily, Mu You could rewind, and had both ti-stopping and Godspeed to use, so his margin for error was highly forgiving.

And Ava’s actions were swift enough. Mu You held out for about a minute and a half, watching as the density of creatures around him increased, becoming increasingly difficult to manage. Finally, Ava’s report sounded.

"...100%. Data parsing complete."

"How is it?" Mu You urgently asked.

"Successfully grasped all foundational logic principles of the Star Spirit World’s settings, but... insufficient permissions to modify them," Ava said.

"Can’t modify, what do you an?" Mu You was taken aback.

Weren’t the hundreds of instrunts around here precisely arranged for modifying the world’s settings?

"They should be modifiable, but the World-Creating Mountain currently lacks an important piece, akin to a ’key’ that a server needs to enter developer mode... Now, all the world setting buttons on the World-Creating Mountain are locked and cannot be modified."

"No way..." Mu You’s heart sank.

After all this effort, letting Ava evolve into a soul and finally reaching the World-Creating Mountain, it turns out that it couldn’t be modified from the start?

Could it be that this was why the first generation Fools returned from the World-Creating Mountain empty-handed?

But if that was the case, why didn’t they say anything earlier?

This kind of important information should have been passed down to future generations...

Mu You slashed apart a nearby black mist creature, unwilling to give up, and rushed to an instrunt panel at the edge, pressing buttons randomly.
