Chapter 80: Chapter 080 No 3

Chen Ke changed into his spare clothes and rearranged his backpack, when suddenly he got the idea to change his living quarters.

Pihom had already helped him sort out so fake docunts and a ghost registration, aning that he could now shop and use services normally within the United Federation.

The first thing he wanted to do was find a decent apartnt to rent long term.

Hotels and motels usually have a maximum stay period, and constantly moving between them was a highly inconvenient matter.

Moreover, Chen Ke didn’t want to carry all his belongings with him anymore; he needed a fixed base that could serve as a storage facility for his guns, ammunition, extra Holy Relics, and various supplies…

With this in mind, Chen Ke hurriedly left the motor inn.

...

His cellphone, after following Chen Ke into the Great Void, continued to operate on the date of March 23, 2009, resulting in a complete disjunction from the current ti. However, once it connected to the network, the ti imdiately corrected itself.

The current ti was 9:42 AM, March 29th.

It had just rained, leaving the ground wet. A large mass of rain clouds was moving southward, and the sunlight, shining down on him, brought a sense of warmth.

At the motor inn’s sign, Chris and his son Christopher were waiting for the bus, laden with bags big and small.

“Chris, and Christopher!” Chen Ke called out to greet them.

“Oh! Uh… sir.” Chris still didn’t know Chen Ke’s na.

“Call Chen Ke. It looks like you guys are moving out?” Chen Ke asked.

“Yes, and I’ve got good news, Mr. Chen. I found a new job,” Chris replied cheerfully.

“Oh? What kind of job?” Chen Ke asked with a smile.

“An internet video dia editor—they promised to give an advance on my first month’s salary,” Chris said.

“That sounds pretty good, Chris. Maybe starting today, your luck will begin to turn around,” Chen Ke said, patting him on the shoulder.

“I don’t know, but I believe that as long as I persevere, happiness will eventually knock on my door,” Chris laughed, hehehe.

“Then give yourself a round of applause,” Chen Ke responded with a smile.

After saying goodbye to Chris and his son, Chen Ke hailed a cab and headed over to Pihom’s six-shooter gun shop.

In the taxi, he pulled up the Soul nu again, curious to see what exactly that third soul in his possession was.

“Let’s just call this ability a ‘Soul Vessel,'” he thought to himself, as if he had just thought of sothing.

The interface for the Soul Vessel appeared, with only one white soul remaining on the screen. Chen Ke focused his attention on this cluster of soul:

[Lin Mo sealed soul]

[Function: ????]

[A dissipated soul tightly bound by an invisible force.]

[Even a deeply sinful assassin has mories he wants to protect.]

Chen Ke’s eyes widened in shock—Lin Mo… The original owner’s soul was actually in his hands!

No wonder the contract demon had been chasing after him for this soul… But this raised another question: How did Si’s consortium squad get out?

Looking at the white soul, thoughts churned in Chen Ke’s mind. Could he be replaced by the original owner’s soul? However, looking at the information about the soul, it was marked “dissipated.”

Could bursting this soul extend his own life? The function column was all question marks, so he had no idea what it really was.

He must be vigilant and nip any potential problems in the bud. Although Chen Ke didn’t know if this soul would backlash against him, he disliked taking risks.

I crossed over on my own rit, and now this life and body are mine!

Pinch!

Chen Ke glanced at the taxi driver, who was focused on driving.

He lowered his hand to let the back of the chair block him, and then tried to conjure Lin Mo’s soul in the palm of his hand.

He failed.

Chen Ke narrowed his eyes, sowhat puzzled. He tried several more tis but still couldn’t extract Lin Mo’s soul from the soul vessel, it seed that he didn’t need to worry about this thing for now, let it quietly stay inside for the ti being.

The taxi passed the West Gold Building Black Box Space, and Chen Ke glanced at it, surprised to find that the building was surrounded by construction equipnt and the part above the fifth floor had vanished into thin air. Even the Black Box cover had been cracked open by the explosion, it looked like the authorities were preparing to demolish the building.

After Chen Ke was sucked into the Fan Hede Kingdom, he naturally didn’t know that the singularity of the door had caused a massive explosion, he suspected whether it was the Administration Bureau who had chosen to bomb the building with missiles to deal with the contract demon…

He didn’t know whether Yang Xiao and Sleery survived… Chen Ke shook his head. This incident started because of him, but he couldn’t be blad either, if it weren’t for Si’s consortium’s actions, this building wouldn’t have turned into the Black Box.

They should go to Si’s consortium to claim their lives.

The ride was quiet, and the car stopped outside the Six-Shooter Gun Shop.

Chen Ke t with Pihom and got his forged docunts and offshore account, which Pihom had paid specially for as a reward for the last operation.

“Your account has received 50,000.00 union coins.” Chen Ke’s phone vibrated, receiving a ssage.

“This is your paynt for last ti, although we failed, I think I should still give you a small amount,” Pihom said with a smile.

Chen Ke examined his fake docunts again, all kinds of docunts like driver’s licenses and passports were placed in a leather envelope, even though he hadn’t provided a photo, there was still the face of a man who looked almost the sa as him.

“Freaking amazing, how did you do this?” Chen Ke could hardly believe it.

“As long as you’re willing to spend money, anything is possible,” Pihom chuckled creepily.

Chen Ke gave Pihom a strange look and didn’t ask further about how he did it; after all, the underworld has its own ways of doing things.

“These docunts cost a total of 50,000 union coins, so there’s only 50,000 left in your offline account, the bulk was spent on forging the photo. The money in this offline account can be used without issues because we have transferred it through a dostic capital account, the cost being that every expenditure has a 0.2% commission deducted,” Pihom reminded.

Chen Ke nodded. Although he needed to spend a bit more, considering the money he would earn in the future wouldn’t likely be clean, the extra fee was worth it.

“Any news from Bain?” Chen Ke asked.

“There’s so difficulty in making progress, but we’re not completely clueless, give him so ti. You really remind of my younger days, Chen! Always focused on the goal, never slacking!” Pihom expressed his admiration.

“Yeah, how can we afford to be idle when ti is limited, a new storm has erged, how can we stand still?” Chen Ke laughed.

“Co on, Priskin has sothing to show you, and I want you to et our mask artist,” Pihom gestured with a tilt of his head, leading Chen Ke through the Red Door.

The safehouse was noisy with the sounds of TV speakers, electric drills, and constant hamring, a lively scene indeed.

Hall’s ears had healed, and he was sitting in his corner wearing a blue shirt, playing PS3. To his surprise, the ga on the TV was “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion”… Next to it, on the small coffee table, there was a pile of PS3 ga cases.

Chen Ke recognized “Splinter Cell 4: Double Agent,” “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves,” “Assassin’s Creed,” “Half-Life 2: The Orange Box,” “Fallout 3″…

Chen Ke couldn’t help but walk over and pat Hall on the shoulder.

“Hey, you’re here? What have you been up to these days?” Hall greeted with a smile.

“Didn’t expect you to be such a hardcore gar?” Chen Ke exclaid.

“Damn, I love gaming, I rob just so I can have money to buy gas!” Hall said earnestly.

Chen Ke was dumbfounded.

“Just joking, man! If you had as many enemies as I do, always risking being killed the mont you step outside, you’d know why I can only play gas,” Hall shook his head.

“Alright…” Chen Ke shrugged.

“Speaking of which, you play gas?” Hall asked.

“Occasionally…” replied Chen Ke.

“I love Half-Life, I wonder when they will co up with their next ga… Seems I’ve talked too much, Priskin is looking for you, you should go see him,” Hall said with a laugh.

Chen Ke nodded with a smile, always holding back on telling Hall that “Half-Life” didn’t have a third installnt.
