Capítulo 750: Chapter 749: Jack the Ripper Chen Ke
“I’m just an agent; how could I possibly know what the O5 Council wants to do?” Xu Jing said.
“So that’s the reason you blindly follow them?” Diana challenged.
“In your ti, didn’t you also blindly follow the orders of the Administration Bureau?” Xu Jing countered.
“I joined the Administration Bureau to protect the citizens, but when I discovered they were not what I had imagined, I made my choice,” Diana said.
“I did the sa; for the future of humanity, I could sacrifice everything,” Xu Jing also said.
Lucina glanced between Diana and Xu Jing, sighing, “You’re all so damn noble; I’m a bit embarrassed now.”
“Let’s not talk about this now. We need to hurry and find Srud before she dies,” Chen Ke interrupted the two won’s argunt, anxious about Xu Jing’s deanor—the woman might suddenly commit suicide on the spot.
Xu Jing approached the control panel and fumbled around for a while, lowering the entire platform of the circular prison. As the central circular space began to descend, parts of the circular wall, damaged by Lucina, made the descent sowhat bumpy.
Once the entire circular prison had descended, the central space underground beca like a circular abyss—God knows how deep the foundation had dug.
They reached the edge, and looking down the dark circular abyss, many dark red LED lights extended downwards. At the edge, there was an elevator for transportation.
“It’s below here? How deep can it be?” Diana looked down.
“The circular prison itself was built on top of a containnt item; it’s not very deep below. After descending to a certain depth, we’ll enter a mirrored space,” Xu Jing explained, holding her forehead, her expression strained.
“If you commit suicide down there, do you need us to bring your body back up?” Lucina asked at this point.
“Thank you for that,” Xu Jing said, glancing at Lucina with displeasure.
They followed the elevator down, and this was already Chen Ke’s third ti riding sothing sliding into the Abyss. He hated this sensation, just like he hated flying, because in mid-air, people are in a passive situation.
The elevator’s descent was not slow; perhaps its builder was also impatient. Once the overhead lights of the circular prison were far away, darkness slowly enveloped them, and the surrounding red LED lights looked like blood vessels—Chen Ke felt as if he was entering the intestines of so creature.
Xu Jing knelt on the elevator floor, gasping heavily, looking extrely strained.
Chen Ke lifted her arm, asking, “Can you still hold on?”
Xu Jing did not speak; her entire body was limp, her body already unresponsive. She pulled out a gun and slowly aid it at her temple.
Diana grabbed the gun away from her and tossed it underneath the elevator, saying, “Should we tie her up? And use sothing to stuff her mouth to prevent her from biting her tongue to commit suicide?”
“If she has no value anymore, it’s okay for her to die,” Lucina added.
“We’re almost there, focus on what might be below,” Chen Ke changed the subject.
Xu Jing, trembling, leaned on the elevator’s handrail and barely stood up, rubbing a small coin in her hand that had already started to crack slightly.
They finally reached the bottom, an unreasonable space because there was no light and it was completely unmatched structurally with the passage. The descending circular prison walls could not be found, as if it were another dinsion.
Chen Ke walked a few steps, then noticed an unusual feeling under his feet—he crouched down and touched it, and it turned out to be dense pipes, the entire space’s floor covered with things similar to cables.
In the center of the space, there was a cylindrical cultivation tank; calling it a tank was more like a circular iron fra used for binding. Srud was stripped naked, having her hands and neck tied and inserted inside…
A white cloth blinded her eyes, her long hair was shaved off, and her waist, back, and lower body were pierced with various black hoses, apparently drawing so energy from her body.
Xu Jing knelt on the ground, unable to walk anymore. She pointed at Srud and said to Chen Ke, “Is this who you’re looking for? Do what you need to do…”
Chen Ke left Diana and Lucina to look after her, then walked forward.
Srud’s face was devoid of color, the veins of Witch Power tracing glowing patterns on her pale skin, with little currents of electricity flowing along the lines. Her expression was uncomfortable, her body contorting in discomfort.
“Srud,” Chen Ke said.
On hearing Chen Ke’s voice, Srud was surprised for a few seconds, but the words of help she wanted to say stuck in her throat.
“Why are you here?” Srud said angrily.
“I ca to find you,” Chen Ke responded.
“Why?!” Srud was sowhat irritated, but every ti she tried to harness the Witch Power, the energy was siphoned away through a tube.
The tubes swayed overhead, extending upwards. Chen Ke looked up, unable to discern where they connected to, though they had clearly co from above.
“I want the Divine Fragnt held by the Divine Secret Society,” Chen Ke stated.
“You really are… persistent,” Srud laughed.
Chen Ke grabbed Srud’s neck and squeezed gently, turning her face a delicate shade of pink, and asked, “Tell , where is it?”
“You think… with looking like this… I would still be, afraid of death?” Srud retorted defiantly.
Chen Ke snorted coldly. He understood Srud’s state of mind, but that made her even easier to deceive, just a little hope would do.
“It’s your father who brought here; he couldn’t find the foundation’s building, so I ca in first,” Chen Ke explained.
Srud’s expression changed slightly but quickly reverted. She retorted, “You can’t fool . If my father could find you, he would have killed you on the spot.”
“I have no reason to lie. Your father chose to collaborate with to find you. Without the thunder of the Nine Realms and the Rainbow Bridge, I couldn’t have co to the year 2137,” Chen Ke said seriously, seeing no need to lie about that.
Srud fell silent for a while. She believed Chen Ke, but still felt defiant, considering she had ended up in Chen Ke’s hands even though her father was near.
“Your father wants you, and I, I want the Divine Fragnt. Tell where it is, and once I have it, I will co back to save you,” Chen Ke stated.
Chen Ke was not foolish as to simply let her go after getting the location of the Divine Fragnt, as that would give Srud room to lie.
Furthermore, Chen Ke had no intentions of letting her go.
“…” Srud realized that Chen Ke had blocked any avenue she had for lying. Now, her only way to escape this plight was to hand over the Divine Fragnt to Chen Ke.
“Make up your mind quickly. My ti and patience are limited. I could just go out and tell your father that you’ve already been killed by the foundation,” Chen Ke said.
“I’ll tell you… but you need to know that this is a dead end, and you’ll never be able to get all of the Divine Fragnts,” Srud replied.
“Why?” Chen Ke asked.
“There are six Divine Fragnts in total. The foundation controls one, I have one here, and two are with my father in Asgard. If you want them all, you will have to face my father. Are you ready to confront the Thunder God?” Srud said with a smile.
“I don’t mind doing that, Miss Srud. Where is yours?” Chen Ke inquired.
“It’s inside of … unless you kill , you’ll never get it. Do you dare?” Srud challenged.
Without hesitation, Chen Ke summoned the Blasphemous Dagger with his right hand and plunged it into Srud’s abdon, slicing upwards along the midline of her abdominal muscles; blood poured out rapidly.
Srud deflated like a punctured ball, her mouth slightly agape, unable to make any sound. Her Witch’s self-healing ability had just started to kick in when it was siphoned away by the tubes attached to her.
“If I must do this, Miss Srud, then I will,” Chen Ke said coldly. “The choice is in my hands.”
He reached into Srud’s abdominal cavity and groped through the flesh to find a small Holy Diamond.
