The lights around suddenly dimd, and Adams vanished into the shadows. His arrogant voice ca from everywhere, "Let see, Mr. Chen, let see how you kill ti."
The hall’s lights flickered as if their currents were being controlled, lighting up intermittently for a few seconds before blinking out again.
Chen Ke held his automatic rifle in both hands, his left eye flashing a red light, while his right eye shone blue. In Chen Ke’s vision, Adams’s ethereal human silhouette appeared intermittently, barely visible no matter what ans he used, unable to completely evade the probing of Spiritual Vision.
However, Chen Ke noticed that Adams’s silhouette only erged when it neared the light.
"Is this the quality of people at your foundation?" Chen Ke taunted the darkness, sweeping his gaze and firing a burst of bullets at a passing blue shadow.
The bullets traced red arcs in the darkness, hitting the human silhouette and making Adams yelp twice.
"Yoho! Yo!" From the darkness, Adams scread, and the sound of a heavy object hitting the ground ca from afar. Chen Ke imdiately ran towards the sound.
As the incandescent light on the wall dimd and brightened, Chen Ke saw Adams lying on the ground, struggling to crawl into the darkness. Chen Ke naturally did not give him a chance, continuously firing at the back of his head.
The bullets turned Adams’s head into ground chili sauce, and his body turned into a pile of dust two seconds later, disappearing again.
The light dimd around him, and darkness enveloped Chen Ke. He suddenly felt soone approaching from behind and turned around, only to be struck in the jaw.
Adams appeared again. He struck Chen Ke in the throat with a piercing hand, and unbearable pain exploded in his throat. Then a dagger slid out of Adams’s sleeve, stabbing randomly at Chen Ke’s abdon, staining his white shirt red with blood.
He inserted the dagger into Chen Ke’s side, twisted it, then dragged it horizontally, intending to completely open up Chen Ke’s abdon. Chen Ke tried to shoot Adams, but the latter let go of the dagger, grabbed Chen Ke’s left arm, and the hand pulling the trigger, locking the finger into the trigger guard, and using a CQC grappling technique, flung Chen Ke away.
Chen Ke rolled on the spot, pulled out the dagger from his abdon, just as Adams raised the gun and aid at Chen Ke, pulling the trigger, but no bullets ca out.
"No bullets?" Adams was taken aback.
Chen Ke’s left hand emitted a blue magic halo. He jabbed the Spiritual Power Crystal Gun violently towards Adams’s groin.
"Ugh..." Adams felt a chill in his groin and his expression turned ugly.
Chen Ke swung his left arm outward, the Spiritual Power Crystal Gun creating a large gash in Adams’s lower abdon and groin, the foul-slling mix of urine, blood, and organs flowing out of his body. He collapsed to the ground and when his body hit the ground, it turned into dust again.
Chen Ke picked up the gun, leaned against the wall, and scanned the left side in a Z-pattern, then looked to the right side in a high posture aid shooting stance when a tearing air wave pierced through the darkness. Chen Ke bent down, a ter-long crack being carved out of the wall above him.
Then, one by one, the incandescent lights in the room exploded, and the room plunged into complete darkness. In the absence of light, Chen Ke could no longer see Adams’s blue human silhouette.
Furthermore, Chen Ke, who had blue lights twinkling in his eyes, inadvertently exposed his position in the darkness.
"Your ti tricks don’t work here, but I’ve had countless opportunities to defeat you. This is the power of ti!" Adams laughed triumphantly in the darkness.
Chen Ke no longer used Spiritual Vision and his left eye turned red as he tried to find Adams’s weak spot.
Another air wave struck, and Chen Ke was clad in black armor, forcibly taking the blow that left white marks on the black chestplate.
Adams’s footsteps sounded in the distance, and suddenly, a yellow flash lit up the room. Chen Ke was blinded for a mont and the An Helei armor on his body unexpectedly reverted back into the Holy Diamond, rustling as it fell to the ground.
"So things on you are too cumberso, but don’t think they can protect you," Adams said coldly.
Suddenly, Chen Ke plumted into a deep pool of water, the ice-cold, bone-chilling sea reminding him of Conrad’s ship... Chen Ke sank in the water while several white figures floated toward him.
They were won in white wedding dresses, grabbing Chen Ke’s limbs, groping wildly over his body. The won began undoing the buttons of Chen Ke’s clothes, rubbing his neck and torso, and continually comforting him, urging him to sleep.
"Glub glub glub...," Chen Ke cursed aloud as bubbles stread from his mouth. Four white orbs of light rose behind him, their high temperature causing the surrounding water to boil.
Chen Ke grabbed one of the won, summoned the Moonlight Greatsword with his right hand, and impaled her. Then, the bone-chilling water vanished and he knelt on the ground, the moonlight slightly illuminating a small area in the darkness. Under the red-eye view, Chen Ke saw a trail of red footprints.
The footprints were slowly fading but were repeatedly forming not far away—those were Adams’s footprints.
"First containnt failed," Adams seed to be talking to soone else until a heart-pounding sound ca from afar. He looked up towards the source of the noise, and the next second, Adams was completely blown to pieces.
