Chapter 735: Chapter 734: The Ti-Traveling Bug

“Assets? Mortal, you best know whom you’re speaking to.” Srud’s eyes were ablaze with a blue glow, reminiscent of a Heavenly God descending to earth, as she stood before the altar, slightly tilting her head back, looking down at the man in the black suit before her.

“I’m well aware of who you are. In the ancient myths, you are a goddess, the second offspring of Thor. In so legends, you inherit Thor’s hamr and command the power of Lightning, but in the eyes of the Foundation, you’re just one of the mutated clusters with the preparatory number HCP4081,” Adams adjusted his tie and said.

“Hmph… I have seen countless individuals over thousands of years who wished to utilize the Witch’s power. I admire your courage, at least you dare to stand before . But it seems your Foundation has yet to comprehend just how formidable a Witch is,” Srud said coldly.

“We are quite aware, which is why the Foundation has decided that the O5 Council should take matters into their own hands to contain you,” Adams said.

“Don’t make it sound like you’re all that impressive. You’ve sent people after before, and I’ve already seen that kind of ti trickery, but this ti, I won’t be fooled again,” Srud said as she rubbed her index finger and thumb together, sparks of electricity blossoming in her hand.

“We never sent anyone to find you before; you must be mistaken,” Adams said.

“Enough talk, no matter what, you’re going to die here today,” Srud declared, pointing at Adams, as the professionals around her surged towards him.

In an instant, over a hundred professionals unleashed their abilities. A variety of Elents spontaneously appeared, with Flas and frost intertwining, light beams, and projectiles flying all over, and so covered themselves with stone and mud as makeshift armor, going full force.

However, as soon as these abilities began to manifest, they ca to a complete halt mid-air, unable to move any further. Adams made a slight hand gesture from where he stood, and the released energy seed to reverse back along its trajectory, shooting back toward those who had cast it.

The stone armor crumbled away, the Flas, and other energies also returned to the hands from which they ca, and so of the launched abilities regressed, striking the casters themselves, riddling them with holes. Adams was like a Ti Position reversal field; every attack aid at him got turned back unto its originators.

Over half of the hundred professionals were decimated in an instant, and those who had yet to make their move didn’t dare to act rashly.

Adams drew a handgun, aiming it at Srud, who was behind the crowd. The gun appeared unassuming, a simple Glock 18, but after what had just happened, any weapon he produced seed nacing.

Srud could no longer contain herself and decided to take action herself. Her aura fully unleashed, her white evening dress billowing, her golden hair turned blue, and thunder rumbled in the sky. In an instant, a massive Lightning bolt struck from above, tearing a white rift through the night sky.

The Gale roared furiously as the giant Lightning, like a curved spear, was frozen mid-air, re centiters from Adams’ head. He looked up, smirking disdainfully.

Srud continued to hurl storms of Lightning at Adams. In a flash, thunder cracked and lightning flashed; over a dozen white and blue serpentine bolts descended from the sky, leaving white afterimages, before, ters above Adams’ head, they suddenly veered toward the professionals by Srud’s side.

The powerful current sliced through the crowd, tearing many professionals in half, their intestines and organs spilling onto the ground. Many didn’t have ti to react before they realized they were left with only half a body sprawled on the floor.

Srud was taken aback but showed no sign of it on her face. After thousands of years, she had encountered many foes, yet none had the power to repel and halt her Lightning, which perated the Nine Realms and transcended all forces.

“It seems this era is not entirely worthless! Srud, you’ll make quite the battery,” Adams said with a laugh.

“Shut up! Mortal!” She concentrated her power into her arms, turning into a translucent state of energy, as Lightning coiled around her. Twin currents burst from her fists, tearing the professionals before her to shreds and surging towards Adams.

As the Lightning destroyed a professional, it branched off into another current, automatically bouncing onto a nearby person, thus fracturing and forming an electric web.

Adams extended his hand, and a small pendant dropped from his fist — an unsightly eyeball strung on a silver chain. Its lifeless pupil flared with light upon seeing the current, condensing into a mass in front of Adams, getting sucked into the eyeball.

Srud doubled down, sparks flaring from her eyes as she pushed the Lightning in her blood to its limit. Nearly all the nearby professionals were struck by her arcing bolts, either dead or injured. However, Srud was unfazed; subordinates were but numbers in her eyes.

Holding the eyeball pendant, the power of the current resonated through the air, even tearing his sleeve cuffs. Confronting the furious Srud, Adams finally felt pressured.

“Die, Midgard scum!” Srud bellowed.

“What are you waiting for?!” Adams suddenly yelled.

As the words of Adams fell, at that mont, Srud suddenly felt a chill in her abdon, and her lower body lost strength all at once. She looked down to see a knife made of blood had pierced her from behind and erged from the front.

“Uh oh…” Srud groaned, her legs went limp, and she fell downward. A hand wrapped around her waist, and the knife was pulled from her back; then, she was thrown to the ground.

“Mmm, mmm, mmm…” Srud grunted in pain on the ground, her cheek pressed against the floor, when she saw a pair of beautiful legs in high heels appear in her line of sight.

“Ling…” Srud called out, the wound was very painful, having pierced her liver, but as a Witch, such an injury wouldn’t kill her. The woman in front of her was Ling Yuheng. She slowly stepped down from the altar’s stairs, heading towards Adams.

“Why betray us!!!” Srud yelled while lying on the ground.

The Blood Blade in Ling Yuheng’s right hand lted into a pool of blood. She flicked her hand, splashing it on the ground. Then she turned to look at Ling Yuheng.

“I’m sorry, Ms. Srud, I don’t think your father is a good partner,” Ling Yuheng said.

Adams put away the eyeball pendant and took out a syringe filled with green liquid with his left hand. He walked towards Srud and inserted the needle into her neck.

Srud cursed, but her strength and voice grew weaker. White saliva dribbled from her mouth, her eyes rolled back, and she fell unconscious.

“There are others here,” Ling Yuheng reminded.

“I know, he has been observing from the side.” Having dealt with Srud, Adams snapped his fingers, and Diana and Lucina instantly teleported to his feet.

Lucina had a large brass lock piercing through her waist, bleeding profusely, while Diana could only depend on a single accustod to breathing, her complexion pale. Adams suddenly had three Witches in his possession.

“And then, Mr. Adams? The future you promised my people, where is it?” Ling Yuheng asked.

“Now, here it is,” Adams replied with a smile.

“Leave them.”

At this ti, Chen Ke ca out of the flower garden, followed closely by Sleery.

“Mr. Chen…” Ling Yuheng looked at him calmly.

“They are the Foundation’s assets, I cannot fulfill your request,” Adams said with a smile.

“They are mine, I won’t give them up, and you are not allowed to take them,” Chen Ke said.

“You are nothing but an insect that has crossed through ti, Mr. Chen. Soon, we will send soone to deal with you,” Adams said with a laugh.

He took out a pocket watch, looked at Chen Ke, and a smile, the kind seen on successful businessn in comrcial magazines, appeared on his face.

Chen Ke knew he was about to slip away through ti and space, so he imdiately opened the Ti Position.

“Whoosh!”

Without any flash or sound, Adams vanished with the three Witches. It felt as if a fiftieth of a second had been stolen from the world, disappearing from everyone’s perception in an instant.
