Chapter 505: Chapter 505: The Strange Little Key
This hamr also has a connection with the Fan Hede Kingdom. It seems that the era in which this kingdom existed was very special.
Chen Ke was curious. If Fan Hede was part of the history of this world, then the use of magic and spiritual energy should have been more ancient. So why do official records indicate that humans only discovered spiritual energy in 1910?
He continued to look at the next Holy Relic.
[Unyielding Fury]
[Durability: Excellent]
[Deep Love: The whip attacks the target according to the bearer’s will, entwining the flesh and bones with continuously growing spikes.]
[Magic Spread: The bearer’s magic can be transmitted through the whip to the entangled target.]
[Used by Angelica, who longed to be a witch. Angelica was ugly. She used various Illusion Techniques to seduce n, satisfying her own vanity.]
This whip was better suited for entangling enemies. Strictly speaking, it was a weapon of control. But Chen Ke didn’t need such an item because he had two trump cards for control: ti stop and ti bomb. Either one was more useful than this whip.
Chen Ke was very satisfied with the hamr; a single strike, even if the opponent withstood the damage, would still cause tons of psychological pressure. And it seed like it was passive and didn’t consu anything. As for the whip, he might use it if the opportunity arose.
After examining the two reclaid Holy Relics, the surgery on the other side was still ongoing. The bullet had been removed, and the doctor was sewing up the wound.
From the shape of the bullet, it was fortunate that Hall had been hit by a handgun. If it had been an automatic rifle, his entire shoulder might have been blown apart.
Hall had already passed out, and Lucina tied up a black plastic bag filled with thread ends and blood-stained gauze, planning to burn it later.
After a hustle, the doctor completed his work. He took out a machine for swiping cards, waiting for Lucina to pay.
“Is this damn thing a POS machine? You guys use this thing to make paynts? Aren’t you afraid the Investigation Bureau will trace it?” Chen Ke exclaid in surprise.
The doctor ignored him, watched as Lucina swiped a magnetic card, then left expressionlessly.
“Clang.” The doctor closed the door, having not spoken the entire ti, as if he had never been in the room.
“Underground doctors have their own thods,” Lucina shook her head.
“Alright. What do you plan to do now?” Chen Ke changed the subject.
“What do I plan to do now? What do YOU plan to do now?” Lucina countered.
“What would Pi and Hainerd do?” Chen Ke said.
“Pi would say, let’s lay low for a while. My dad would say, don’t seek revenge. What about you, Chen Ke? What would you say?” Lucina asked.
Ever since the tragedy at the gun shop, Lucina had been suppressing her emotions and grief, but now, montarily settled, her tears finally breached. Her pretty face was wet with tears, yet her expression was unusually determined.
“What’s important is you, what do you decide to do?” Chen Ke said solemnly.
“Si’s consortium destroyed my family! Don’t expect to calm down. I want to screw them over, right now, imdiately…” Lucina said.
“Do you know where to find them?” Chen Ke asked.
“I don’t know, but I will go into every building of Si’s consortium, and I will kill every one of them,” Lucina said with fury.
“With what will you kill them? A shotgun?” Chen Ke asked.
Lucina didn’t speak. She was just an ordinary woman; aside from muscle and firearms, she had no other ans.
“The mont you set foot through the door, their spiritual ability assassins will cut you to pieces, and maybe even offer you to Yasla as a toy. It might be because of this that your future becos what I saw,” Chen Ke said.
“I don’t care, Chen Ke. Don’t try to stop ,” Lucina said.
Chen Ke stepped forward, grabbing her arm. A killing intent rose up, infusing into her body. Lucina staggered, her complexion turning extrely ghastly. She struggled a few steps before collapsing into Chen Ke’s arms.
“Stay here and take good care of Hall. Leave the rest to .” Chen Ke picked up Lucina and threw her on the sofa.
Si’s consortium places great importance on the green Holy Diamond. The new chairman, Slavin, was in Opportunity City tonight—his only chance. There would certainly be many spiritual ability killers stationed in the Si consortium’s building.
The large-scale gunfight in the Lower District of Opportunity City had not been reported in the news to this date, showing that Slavin must have spent a lot of money to buy off the County Police.
Slavin wanted to cover all his bases, and so did Chen Ke.
Chen Ke couldn’t afford to look after the safety of an ordinary person in combat. He intended to make it a quick battle.
Hall was still lying on the table in Lucina’s house. Chen Ke covered him with a blanket, then placed painkillers and antibiotics within his reach. After that, he opened the door and entered the Illusion Dream Center.
Upon returning to his familiar room, the first thing Chen Ke did was to stand in front of the wall clock again, wanting to turn back ti to prevent the deaths of Hainerd and Pihom.
However, the marks for April through July of 2009 had disappeared from the clock.
“Damn it! Is this consumable? Can the regret pill be taken only once?” Chen Ke exclaid.
He tried to move the minute hand to the position the month marks had been before, but the minute hand was as if welded in place, immovable no matter how hard he tried, while the hour hand could be moved freely between 2009 and 1859.
Chen Ke sighed. This ti travel ability was only free on the scale of the year; perhaps there were special consumable requirents for the months, or they could be moved only once…
It was far less flexible than the Foundation’s. But complaining was useless. At least Chen Ke could still take a regret pill once.
Perhaps he could use his Future Observation ability to see what would happen after his attack on the Si consortium’s building?
Chen Ke arrived at Teacher Zhou’s doorstep and knocked on the door. After a long wait with no response, it seed this ability was still cooling down… He had viewed the future of three individuals and did not know how long it would be before he could use it again.
With that the case, he would have to rely on himself. Since he had been an assassin for several months in this world, it was ti to settle this with the skills of an assassin. It was also a good opportunity to test the effectiveness of the great hamr he had just seized from a consortium assassin.
Chen Ke’s right hand shimred with purple light, and the great hamr appeared in his hand.
Nad Solar Eclipse, probably because the previous owner had betrayed the doctrines of the Sun Sect—the skull on the hamr looked distressing at a single glance.
It wasn’t entirely a skull though, because it still bore an expression, one of extre disappointnt and fury. Indeed, angering ‘dad’ was not right.
Chen Ke swung it experintally and discovered a fatal issue—the hamr was twice as heavy as the Moonlight Greatsword. Although it didn’t have the sa kind of power suppression as Faralis’s Unyielding Fury, it was not easy to wield at will.
“So heavy… what the hell?” Chen Ke sighed. He could barely hold it with both hands and forcefully smash downward, but with such a long wind-up ti, who would wait to be hit?
Chen Ke put the Holy Diamond into the Dinsion Pocket and, in a blink, suddenly noticed an inconspicuous little item in the inventory. He zood in and discovered it was a silver key.
The silver key was quite distinctive; the head of the key was a statue of a silver knight, complete with wing-like ornants on the helt. Chen Ke frowned, thinking long and hard, but couldn’t rember what the key was for or when he had obtained it.
Just when he was about to give up, he suddenly rembered a sentence Pankia had once said to him.
“In the Si consortium’s building, my office has a secret door. It can lead through this door to my grandfather’s office.”
