Chapter 361: Chapter 361 HCP-0001

“What is the Great Void?” Chen Ke asked again.

“The Great Void… We call it the Grand Mont. It’s one of the more peculiar beads on the necklace,” Xu Jing said.

“Grand Mont…” Chen Ke murmured to himself.

“Humanity hasn’t existed for a short ti; in each era, outstanding people, kings, heroes—they did things at certain monts that changed the appearance of a bead and left sothing behind,” Xu Jing explained.

Ashes of An Helei…

Chen Ke didn’t tell Xu Jing more about Fan Hede; he wanted to see what the foundation knew about him first.

“…These things are important, but our research shows that to piece together the fragnts of the Grand Mont, we need to recreate the actions of the creators of those monts,” Xu Jing said.

“That ans… the Grand Monts are actually real… history?” Chen Ke asked.

“Exactly. They are parts of history, monts of monuntal significance. However, we are unable to replicate so of the kings’ actions to this day, and Fan Hede is one example,” Xu Jing responded.

“So you must have replicated so actions…You probably have a good idea of what’s hidden in there, right?” Chen Ke countered.

“Yes, but I can’t tell you the specifics. What’s more, we’ve found that Fan Hede no longer exists—if you catch my drift,” Xu Jing looked at Chen Ke, her smile aningful.

“It wasn’t …” Chen Ke shook his head.

“The hardest part about that ti and space concerns a headless female corpse. Our conclusion was that she needed to be resurrected. Humans don’t have this technology, and neither does the foundation,” Xu Jing explained.

“So you’ve always been trying to obtain relics from the Great Void? I thought you were always sending people to protect them, especially since Fan Hede’s H.C.P agent said those things would bring disasters to the world,” Chen Ke shrugged.

That tin can didn’t speak as kindly as Xu Jing; his mission had been to exterminate those who completed the cycle.

“Are you sure that’s what he said?” Xu Jing’s expression shifted slightly, as if she had heard so unwelco news.

“I killed him, took his gun, and it looks like you don’t mind too much,” Chen Ke said.

“We don’t mind. They are expendable. You are far more valuable than that agent,” Xu Jing stated bluntly.

“What do you want to help with?” Chen Ke asked directly.

“First there were strings in this universe, then ca the beads. The beads form a necklace, and the people who live on these strings have differing opinions about the necklace, which leads to argunts, which lead to conflicts, and such conflicts have now spread to many beads…” Xu Jing explained.

“Then send your people to deal with it. I am only one person, and you must have many agents,” Chen Ke spread his hands.

“You are the only one who can control HCP0001. When you killed Corrigan, certain things started to change. You stopped a future that the Administration Bureau didn’t want to see, even if it might have been unintentional,” Xu Jing clarified.

“Corrigan… What’s so special about him?” Chen Ke asked.

“You probably don’t realize how much of a threat the Clans are. They are a new species immune to Spiritual Energy, monsters who have given themselves over to deities. The fact that you can confront the Clans is where your value lies,” Xu Jing said.

Chen Ke was beginning to understand what kind of help Xu Jing wanted from him…

“We don’t care how you did it, what’s important is that HCP0001 in your hands can play the role it’s supposed to play. You are the only one who can confront the Clans. So dissenters have found the Clans’ power and are making inter-bead jumps; 2006 was one of their masterpieces,” Xu Jing said.

“What does that have to do with …” Chen Ke scoffed.

He had just co to accept his current fate, and then Xu Jing ca out of nowhere. He felt this destiny was asking for too much.

“Chen Ke, let ask you, have you ever heard a thunderous crack in the sky?” Xu Jing said with a smile.

Chen Ke was first stunned, and then it felt as if a shell had hit his chest, and the familiar sound of cracking echoed in his mind.

After escaping from the West Gold Building, he had heard that sound while showering in a motel…

“Do you know… that is the premonition of the bead crumbling, a lot is happening in places where you don’t exist, and if you can do nothing about it, I won’t bla you, but if you had a chance and remained indifferent, then I have nothing to say,” Xu Jing said with a smile that carried a dangerous aura.

Chen Ke understood what Xu Jing ant; it was a threat as well as a final piece of advice.

“What’s in it for ?” Chen Ke asked.

“I can make sure that the Administration Bureau of this era stops bothering you. Of course, unless you do too many outrageous things,” Xu Jing said.

“Can you provide with equipnt?” Chen Ke inquired.

“There’s no way I can do that, but we can always find other ways to compensate,” Xu Jing replied with a smile.

Chen Ke’s thoughts were in turmoil; this was an endless confrontation, with his life’s countdown ticking away second by second, and finally, he had touched upon the cosmic root mystery.

“I have a condition, Xu Jing,” Chen Ke said.

Xu Jing knew Chen Ke had made up his mind and displayed a satisfied smile.

“Tell ,” she said.

“No matter what I find, it must all belong to ,” Chen Ke declared.

Xu Jing looked down, hesitant for a mont, but eventually nodded in agreent, saying, “That’s fair.”

Chen Ke noticed the Administration Bureau’s P.W.A.T units around the apartnt beginning to retreat, and the Spiritual Agents also departed from the rooftops.

“Now, let’s talk about your trouble… I rember you’re looking for soone,” Chen Ke said.

“Right, he is also called Chen Ke,” Xu Jing nodded.

“Is he very powerful? Soone from your era?” Chen Ke asked.

“He’s a ghost in the beads, of the Clan of the Rebirth God. My advice is, if you et him, pull the trigger directly. Don’t let him utter a word,” Xu Jing said.

“He… is of the Clan?” Chen Ke asked, puzzled.

“We’ve dealt with him in many worlds before. To eradicate him completely, the Foundation threw him into the world of death, letting him perish with that world. But in the end, he would still be born in other worlds,” Xu Jing said.

“It seems the power of the Holy Relics and Skill scriptures doesn’t work on the Clan,” Chen Ke said.

“Because the Spiritual Energy we use is the power of deities, naturally the Clan of the deities wouldn’t fear Spiritual Energy. The only thing that can confront them is a sufficiently powerful material force, but for that Chen Ke… physical destruction alone isn’t enough,” Xu Jing said.

“I get your point, only HCP0001 might be able to silence him forever. But that’s just a possibility, right?” Chen Ke said.

“At least there’s that possibility. HCP0001, throughout human history, has been a Holy Relic held by nurous gods and legendary kings, but in our history, it has been lost for a long ti. The research institutes of this era have tried to use it, but the results weren’t ideal. You are the only modern human who can use HCP0001 and survive,” Xu Jing said.

“It’s not cheap to use it… If not necessary, I wouldn’t want to use it again in my lifeti,” Chen Ke spread his hands.

“At least use it once more, for the future of humanity, Mr. Chen. I’m glad we’ve reached an agreent. After tonight, prepare to welco a new world,” Xu Jing said with a smile, patting Chen Ke’s shoulder as she brushed past him.

Chen Ke sat at the edge of the bed, letting out a sigh.

Outside the apartnt, as soon as Xu Jing stepped out of the building, she took out a special communication device, held it to her ear, and said, “Update the entry, project number HCP-0001, project level, Zhang Heng Level, containnt asures… currently uncontainable…”
