Lin Fang pointed at the monsters surrounding him and said with a tinge of disdain in his voice.
"To be able to devote one’s life to the Buddha is the greatest honor for them, benefactor, do not be so obstinate and misguided."
"The misguided ones are you, to think that the Buddhist Sect, which preaches compassion, would resort to such thods," Lin Fang said with a hint of sorrow.
"Most people are ignorant and fail to recognize the wondrous Buddhist Law. The sea of suffering is boundless and all living beings are in sorrow; only this path can truly save them, for the Buddha is rciful."
Lin Fang looked at the resolute Galan and felt a chill in his heart, realizing that these words ca sincerely. This was a true fanatic, for whom spreading the Buddhist Law had beco the eternal pursuit of his life, and even death could not strike fear into him.
He wondered if he alone was like this, or if most Buddhists had beco as fervently devoted. If that were the case, it would be truly terrifying.
"We do not plot with those who follow a different path!" Lin Fang said coldly, as he had no desire to beco a madman who only knew devotion.
The protector Galan shook his head slightly, seemingly lanting the foolishness of all living beings, but his eyes were already filled with coldness.
"Amitabha Buddha, the sea of suffering is limitless; turning back is the shore."
The endless chanting sound arose within Yalong Cave, continually disturbing Lin Fang’s soul, as the verses seed to transform into a mysterious Sanskrit, carrying the power to manipulate the soul.
It easily penetrated the physical barrier and reached his soul, and at that instant, Lin Fang felt a strong impulse deep within him, a desire to prostrate at Galan’s feet and loudly recite the scriptures.
The eerie Sanskrit spread over Lin Fang like a venomous snake, making it clear to him that once it completely enveloped him, his mind and spirit would be controlled, transforming him into a fanatic servant of the Buddha.
"Get away from !" Lin Fang shouted aloud.
Galan only looked on with a compassionate face at the struggling Lin Fang, as if waiting for the birth of a fellow believer.
At that mont, a glimr of light sparkled within Lin Fang’s soul, shining with the purest brightness, dust free and illuminating, breaking through mountains and rivers.
It was the power of Pure Yang, the most pure force in the world. Under its illumination, the strange Sanskrit began to burn, visibly shrinking, but with an unyieldingness that seed eternal.
Suddenly, a white arm extended into the soul, snatching away the Sanskrit instantly. Lin Fang was taken aback by this, but upon closer inspection, he was stunned.
It turned out to be the paper figures in the Glazed Glass Tower, using the connection shared with Lin Fang to take away the Sanskrit, then their faces opened to swallow the Sanskrit in one gulp.
"Hey, don’t just eat anything!" Lin Fang warned the bold creature but only saw the little paper figure skillfully belch, slowly rubbing its belly, and then lay down in a very languid posture.
"This guy."
Lin Fang imdiately felt too embarrassed to look, for this creature was essentially an extension of himself. In so sense, everything the little paper figure was doing represented the choices deep within his own heart.
Of course, Lin Fang would never admit that he could be such a character. It was all the paper figure’s own doing, yes, that’s right.
Galan murmured the scriptures quietly, his gaze fixed on Lin Fang, whose expression fluctuated. However, after a long ti, he saw no sign of Lin Fang showing any inclination to convert, which made him furrow his brow.
"Having chanted the sutras for so long, it’s ti to take a break," Lin Fang suddenly opened his eyes and said coldly.
With that, his figure flashed and he appeared beside Gālan, raising his fist and punching forward.
Gālan’s face showed surprise, as if he had not expected Lin Fang to be unaffected. A flash of gold, and a bell-shaped protective shield enveloped him.
Lin Fang’s fist struck the shield, imdiately whipping up a gale that swept around, causing the frenzied female demons to stumble and fall.
With a thunderous crash, the shield shattered, and the trendous force made both Lin Fang and Gālan retreat several steps. Seizing the opportunity, Lin Fang took Little Fox into the tower and imdiately used an escape technique to leave. The place had been taken over by the Buddhist Sect; lingering any longer would be dangerous for him.
As he burst out of the cave mansion, he saw the swarming Buddhist Soldiers already waiting outside. Lin Fang did not hold back, unleashing the Heart Fire Technique, and torrents of flas instantly engulfed the Dark Forest.
But these Buddhist Soldiers, each with a frenzied expression, fearlessly charged through the fearso flas without hesitation.
"Monster, where do you think you’re going!" Gālan’s voice rang out. The protector was seen brandishing a steel whip, pursuing from behind with fierce montum.
Lin Fang used the Enlarging Supernatural Power and suddenly grew into a giant, his body enveloped in roaring flas, carving a bloody path through the throngs of Monk Soldiers.
Yet Gālan was close behind, not allowing Lin Fang to escape. The steel whip in his hand seed to turn into a flood dragon, relentlessly attacking Lin Fang.
Lin Fang threw a punch and with a boom, Gālan was sent flying backward. His eyes burned with resolve as he stared at Lin Fang, vowing to capture the monster who dared to desecrate the Buddhist Sect.
Suddenly, he threw his steel whip into the air, transforming it into a Golden Dragon that dashed straight at Lin Fang with claws bared and teeth gnashing.
Lin Fang grabbed the flying Golden Dragon and hurled it with great force. With a loud bang that echoed through the skies, the enormous dragon fell to the ground, creating a large crater on impact.
The massive gale forced the Buddhist Soldiers to retreat while Lin Fang took the chance to soar into the sky, calling forth the Glazed Glass Tower, which shone with blinding brilliance under the sunlight.
The light was so dazzling that people involuntarily closed their eyes, and when the light dispersed, Lin Fang’s figure was nowhere to be seen.
Looking at the scorched and blackened Wushu Forest and the injured Buddhist Soldiers on the ground, Gālan angrily smashed his fist on the ground and said, "Damn it, we let that monster escape."
Lin Fang ran wildly until he reached a dense forest, where he finally stopped. Looking back, he saw no trace of the Buddhist Soldiers and was finally able to relax completely.
"What kind of rotten world is this? I’ve been so careful. How was I exposed?" muttered Lin Fang to himself. Ever since he had traversed to the Journey to the West world, he had been cautious and yet, he was still targeted.
It was fortunate that the Buddhist Sect had been careless, sending only the Dharma Protector Gālan with a host of Buddhist Soldiers. Otherwise, he would likely have been caught and turned into another madman singing praises to Buddha.
This place was no longer safe to stay. It was clear that the Buddhist Sect intended to exploit the capture of the Demon King and the headlessness of the monster group, aiming to thoroughly sweep and bring this area under their control.
"Forget it, I might as well take the two rewards I’ve accumulated. If I’m lucky and draw sothing like the Sleeve Universe or Wuzhi Mountain, wouldn’t I just soar?"
Since the last ti, he had discovered that if he did not claim his rewards, the opportunity would remain available to him.
