This special paper figure had a sliver of his soul, in a sense, it was his avatar.
Looking at the paper figure that had decided not to move from its spot, Lin Fang was sowhat lost for words; this fellow clearly considered this place as his own territory.
Gently lifting it by the finger, the angered paper figure started to punch and kick at Lin Fang. Its white arms hitting Lin Fang’s fingers made him feel a ticklish sensation.
Lightly tossing the paper figure aside, Lin Fang curiously examined the spot where the paper figure had just been sitting, noting how cunning it was. There must be sothing special about the spot it had chosen.
After careful sensing, he understood that this was because he had incorporated the Buddhist Sect’s Dharma technique of Magical Treasure into his artifact refining, making this spot a center for gathering the Power of Faith. If soone were to worship this pagoda, then the Power of Faith would continuously flow to this place.
"You really don’t do anything that isn’t profitable," Lin Fang remarked to the paper figure.
The paper figure, ignoring everything else, continued to struggle, quickly returning to its spot.
"Big Brother Lin, does this magical treasure have any other secrets? Tell us," asked Little Fox, who was following beside him.
"This treasure, because it contains the runes of the Purple Gold Red Gourd and the Mutton-fat jade bottle, can summon and capture people; the very bottom of the tower has a cage where the captured person can be held and their mana absorbed for my usage," explained Lin Fang.
"Also, because I borrowed from the nature of the Horo Golden Rope, this treasure also has a suppressing effect. Just hanging it above soone’s head will immobilize them."
"Because it contains fragnts of the Glass Lamp, this treasure can absorb the essence of sunlight, condensing it into glass-like intense fla that can burn anything fiercely," he continued.
"As for this place taken over by this fellow, it can receive worship from all living beings, absorb the Power of Faith, and strengthen the treasures nourished upon it," he added.
Lin Fang laid out the features of his treasure one by one; the little monsters listening had eyes shining with excitent—indeed, the treasure refined by Lin Fang was truly marvelous.
Of course, there was another function Lin Fang did not ntion: this treasure itself was an excellent storage space, which could at least hold various bits and bobs on him.
Timing out the journey, he guessed that Tang Monk and his disciples must have already arrived at Pingding Mountain, and turning his head, he saw the worried expression on Little Fox’s face.
"Worried about your grandmother?"
Little Fox nodded, and Lin Fang thought for a mont before saying, "In that case, I’ll take you there to see, but let’s be clear, you must follow my commands."
Everyone hurriedly nodded in agreent, with Bashan Tiger particularly excited; after all, he was about to see his idol.
Lin Fang gathered everyone into the Glazed Glass Tower, and with a thought, the tower plunged into his dantian, nurtured continuously by his mana.
Reciting the incantations, riding the clouds, Lin Fang headed straight for Pingding Mountain. At this mont, he had reached the stage of Refining the Spirit and Returning to the Void, able to understand the Spirit chanism of Heaven and Earth, utilize the Law of the Five Elents, and do so things against common sense, just as the Bodhi Patriarch’s incantations had said, being able to grow a Golden Lotus in fire.
In this world filled with Immortals and Demons, he had barely enough power to protect himself, provided he didn’t provoke any powerful entities of the Three Realms.
Since Lin Fang did not have a specialized technique for Riding the Clouds, his speed was not fast; compared to the Monkey’s Sorsault in the Clouds, it was like comparing planes to bicycles.
Slowly but surely, Lin Fang finally reached the territory of Pingding Mountain. Looking from afar, he saw flas reaching the sky, and the air seed perated with the scent of blood, with faint Buddha’s Light transmitting from a distance.
"It looks like the Monkey has already gone; it’s these Buddhist Soldiers cleaning up," Lin Fang quickly figured out.
The Demon King’s little demons were like scattered sand, facing the formidable Buddhist Soldiers, they had but one path—death.
Lin Fang watched the little demons struggle amidst blood and fire, sighed, and shook his head before turning toward Yalong Cave, hoping that the Old Fox would listen to his persuasion; otherwise, it would just be a corpse.
Arriving at Yalong Cave, he noticed nothing unusual, all around was silent as if nothing had happened.
Lin Fang let the Little Fox out, who imdiately ran to the entrance of Yalong Cave.
Two female demons walked out from inside and, seeing the Little Fox, joyfully said, "Little master, you’ve finally co back. Grandma has been waiting for you for a long ti."
The Little Fox, overjoyed, said, "As long as grandmother is fine, that’s good."
However, Lin Fang slightly furrowed his brow; he sensed sothing amiss. These female demons usually looked at the Little Fox with eagerness, but today, for so reason, they seed rather cold, which made him more cautious.
The two female demons expressionlessly led Lin Fang and his companion into the cave mansion. Everything was unchanged from before, which slightly relieved him.
"My dear Husun, you’re finally back!" The Old Fox’s voice, filled with affection, resounded.
The Little Fox imdiately happily jumped into her arms, joyfully calling out "Grandmother."
"Lin Fang, you’ve had a tough journey escorting the little master here," the Old Fox said with a smile to Lin Fang.
"It’s nothing, it’s what I should do."
"That won’t do. I should really thank you properly. Co here, I have a treasure for you as a token of gratitude."
Lin Fang, however, showed an understanding smile and said, "There’s no need; I’m afraid if I co over, I won’t leave with my life."
As soon as he finished speaking, the Old Fox’s expression changed, and she scoffed coldly, "Truly a blaspher."
"Grandmother! What’s wrong?" The Little Fox looked shockingly at his grandmother, feeling that the family mber before him seed to have changed, his eyes full of zeal and coldness.
"Su Yun, serve Buddha together with Grandmother. It’s our honor, and only by converting to Buddhism can we enjoy supre bliss, thinking back, all of the past seems like a dreamy illusion."
This mont, the Old Fox seed to have beco a monk who had practiced Buddhism for many years, yet her eyes were devoid of any trace of compassion.
The Little Fox jumped out from his grandmother’s arms and looked around, realizing everyone had beco like his grandmother, faces carrying compassion, but eyes full of coldness.
"Amitabha Buddha!" A voice rang out from deep within the cave, and a monk wrapped in a robe surrounded by colored ribbons erged.
"It was you who destroyed the treasure of our Buddhist Sect?"
Lin Fang glanced at his attire, sowhat puzzled, and asked, "Protector Gālan?"
"Unexpectedly, this demon has quite the insight, recognizing my identity. Better convert to Buddhism quickly, so you too can achieve the Golden Body and Final Fruit," Protector Gālan said with a smile.
"And then beco like them, only knowing how to praise Buddha and completely lose oneself?"
