Ah, the first small stage has finally been completed.

Although many parts didn’t quite achieve my ideal effect, there was indeed so progress this ti, such as in the interactions between the male and female leads...

After finishing that section, I was even interrogated by my wife. She asked if I had any hidden premarital romantic experiences, which gave a headache for days.

I saw that several long-ti readers of *Senior Brother* expressed dissatisfaction with the new book, feeling that they didn’t see the work and character archetypes they expected.

Regarding this, how should I put it... I still need to emphasize this issue, and by the way, share so writing tips with everyone.

The core point of *Senior Brother* lies in the main character’s absolute control over the surrounding environnt, as well as the chemical reactions produced when the strong personality of the male lead influences other characters.

If I were only after higher manuscript fees, my new book could have been about a disciple of Li Changshou, featuring a Journey to the West plotline. I could have created a codic slice-of-life story following *Senior Brother’s* pace. However, that would have nearly blocked off my path as a writer, making it very difficult to change genres later.

Of course, manuscript fees are also important, so if you can, please do support the official version!

Ultimately, I still want to learn, to ponder, and to improve. It’s best to let *Senior Brother* remain a mory of 2020. That book has already broken many records in the immortal heroes genre and sparked a small trend in the online literature community.

But my writing journey must continue.

As ntioned in the new book preview at the end of *Senior Brother*, this *Human Immortal* book is not a product of compromise on my part; rather, it’s a story I chose after a burst of inspiration and careful consideration.

The thes and core ideas I want to express can be perfectly presented within this story’s frawork.

The male lead will indeed be a very famous mythological figure. He’s not the Yellow Emperor or the next Yan Emperor, so please don’t guess wildly. If you happen to guess correctly, it will be very awkward for when I write it later.

The outline is all set, so there’s no "copying from book reviews" happening here.

Seriously, when it’s between authors and readers, how can that be called "copying"?

*Ahem*, speaking of the first volu, the narrative structure I’ve adopted is quite risky.

The wind of the Northern Wilderness symbolizes movent, representing a nature that doesn’t stay in one place.

My personal strength in starting a story is more like *Senior Brother’s* approach: beginning in a stable environnt, gradually expanding outwards, and using informational advantages to create suspense.

This new book is different. Wu Wang has responsibilities, which also ans he has constraints. The pressure from the Large Family Clan provides the motivation for him to advance later on.

Because of this, I’ve been under a lot of pressure every day, and my hair has been shedding rapidly.

I often found myself staring at the Chapter feedback late at night. When I realized the Won’s Country plot wasn’t as engaging as expected, I imdiately sped things up, compressing and advancing the plot. This led so readers to question if the pace was too fast.

It was only recently, after reaching about 240,000 to 250,000 words and with the new book’s performance trend becoming clear, that I’ve set the story within a sect.

This is the Mietian, Dark Desire, and Wind Great Demon Sect.

Let report on the current performance, which is actually quite good, much stronger than I anticipated.

Before it climbed the monthly ticket leaderboard at the beginning of this month, the daily increase in collection adds was stable at 3,000 to 5,000. After getting on the leaderboard, the increase reached 8,000 to over 10,000. The trend is quite encouraging, and many new readers who haven’t read *Senior Brother* have appeared.

Currently, the new book isn’t "on the shelves" yet, so it can’t generate monthly tickets. The story is still too new, with not enough content for many to "binge-read" yet. It definitely won’t be able to compete with the established bestsellers later on. There’s no need for everyone to worry about that. What we’re aiming for is the exposure from the monthly ticket leaderboard. It will be too late to contend for rankings after it goes "on the shelves" on the 19th.

Everyone, please don’t get too worked up over chasing rankings. As long as you enjoy reading, that’s what matters.

Of course, staying at the top of the leaderboard for an extra day is always nice~ So if you have tickets, please vote for !

In the next volu, characters already on the character list will slowly gather. Auntie Lin Suqing is an important character. Ji Mo and Ling Xiaolan have also been described in great detail, so it’s impossible to leave them on the bench.

In the next volu, I will appropriately increase the proportion of slice-of-life and codic plots, increase the frequency of character interactions, deepen the worldview of the Great Wilderness, and strive to write every minor and major plotline well, adhering to the lighthearted codic style of the immortal heroes genre.

The next volu will be a story arc where the male lead solidifies his ambitions.

When designing the character of Wu Wang, considering the major foreshadowing involving Wormhole travel in the later stages, the male lead has already shouldered responsibility and made a sacrifice once. His ntality shouldn’t be like that of a normal person; he should be jaded and weary.

Of course, this also caused the male lead’s primary personality traits to beco sowhat vague. I could only use "serious" as the key label to hold the attention of my esteed readers.

After saying all this, you all might not care too much, but it’s enough for you to know that I (Yan Guizhengzhuan) am trying very, very hard to write this work well!

The next Chapter will be updated tomorrow. Let take a breather tonight. The weather in Weihai has been fluctuating a lot these past few days, and I’m not feeling well. My head is also full of plot ideas that need ti to be sorted out.

The Chapter I owe from tonight will be made up within a week.

Also, I want to thank all the esteed readers who have supported with gifts. Thanks to the stalwart supporters who joined the fan alliance as soon as the new book was released and have shown such great trust in . And thank you for the strong support from several mbers of the Silver Alliance.
