Chapter 125: It’s ti for Noella to fulfill the bet Chapter 125: It’s ti for Noella to fulfill the bet Maureen made it to the finals, causing another issue for Evergreen Class.

That would be the bet between Noella and Maureen – witnessed by at least seven people in the training room at that ti, word about that incident has circulated widely, even to the point that everyone in the building knew about it!

Now Maureen really did squeeze into the finals in an impressive third place, while Noella’s na is nowhere on the list!

So does this an it’s ti to fulfill the bet?

The mood among the students of Evergreen class was complex – although many of them disliked Noella, partly due to her being Bianca’s sidekick, she was after all from their class.

So if she ended up swollen-faced and dejectedly dropping out of school, wouldn’t that be humiliating for the entire Evergreen class?

Noella herself was utterly devastated.

When she ca out of Mrs.

Miller’s office, she felt as if she had been pushed underwater by her neck, uncontrollably drowning and suffocating.

Wherever she went, people were teasing about this matter.

Every sentence, whether or not it contained a mocking tone, was like a hot slap on her face.

– She had never considered the possibility that Maureen might make it to the finals when she had made the bet!!

As Noella walked back to the classroom, her footsteps were sowhat unsteady, with only one question in mind: What do I do now?!

When she flopped down on her seat, she couldn’t possibly drop out of school just because of a bet!

What’s more, she had done what she did at that ti because of Bianca!

If there were a ti machine, the first thing Noella would do if she went back in ti was to slap her past self awake and question why she had to ruin her life for such an unworthy ‘friend’ like Bianca?

Now it ended up like this – she was dood.

If she dropped out, her family would surely beat her to death, and it was absolutely impossible for them to allow her to drop out casually in the final year of high school.

However, if she didn’t drop out, she would definitely face the ridicule of everyone in the next half a year.

No one in the class now wanted to mingle with Noella.

Her boyfriend also started avoiding her, fearing isolation by the classmates.

Nearby, Ann looked at Noella’s face shifting between red and white, and deliberately let out a laugh.

“Who was it on the 24th of September who accused of intentionally causing Bianca to have an allergic reaction, who has no sha?” Noella: “…” Tornting on her seat for a whole morning, Noella couldn’t pay attention to any of the classes.

She was in a daze, feeling as if all the classmates who whispered around were discussing her, and the ones passing notes were talking about her shalessly pretending as if nothing happened and refusing to drop out.

Even when she went to the restroom during breaks, it seed as if she could hear the word ‘dropout’.

At this rate, forget about getting through high school smoothly, she feared she would go insane.

In an impulse that even Noella was unsure of where it ca from, she suddenly picked up her bag and charged towards the international class on the upper floor, right after the teacher left the classroom when the first class ended in the afternoon.

The onlooking crowd got excited, thinking she was going to openly resolve this issue with Maureen, and hurriedly followed her for the drama.

The issue created quite a stir.

Everyone wanted to see what would co of it – will Noella really keep her promise and drop out?

Maureen was stopped by Noella just as he was about to enter the classroom.

A few steps away from her, Noella was sweating profusely, her face pale as if she had suffered from serious illness.

Noella called after her, but then bit his lip tightly, not uttering a word for a long ti.

Everyone was watching.

Maureen had forgotten about betting on dropping out during training, but when soone whispered, ‘If Noella has any dignity, he should withdraw.

Otherwise, it would really be embarrassing,’ Maureen suddenly rembered.

“What’s the matter?” She asked.

Noella’s face was flushed red, even trembling slightly.

Maureen waited for about three minutes, then heard him suddenly choke out a phrase from his throat.

“Yes, I’m sorry.” The corridor was very quiet, with everyone watching the two.

The sentence was a beginning; after saying it, Noella seed to have lost his strength, no longer trembling so intensely, only his face was still pale.

She dared not look at Maureen anymore, finishing all at once, “I’m sorry for all the things I did before.” Noella actually realized that he was wrong.

After the incident of Bianca taking over, she put herself in Maureen’s shoes.

If he was Maureen, targeted by so many people around Bianca, she would have already wanted to ‘tear Noella’ apart.

It was because of this empathy that Noella realized how overbearing she had been.

She was extrely conflicted, feeling both that he had been overbearing and yet apologizing seed to hurt her pride.

Also, she was afraid that because of this incident, she might have to leave school.

Everyone was watching as she wanted to ask Maureen to forgive him, so she wouldn’t have to leave Senior High.

“Maureen, I was wrong.

All the negative comnts I made about you before were my fault.

I don’t want to drop out, my dad would kill .” As Noella finished her sentence, tears started to flow.

She awkwardly tried to wipe away her tears as she continued to cry.

“I–” “Just don’t drop out then.” “…” When Noella heard Maureen’s reply, she said, “Then I won’t drop out, I’ll finish the last sester properly, focusing on my studies, and not stir up any more trouble.” Noella looked up in disbelief, “Does this an you forgive ?” Maureen didn’t answer, she simply turned around and walked into the classroom.

Onlookers who were all too keen to watch the drama were a bit disappointed.

They had hoped for a spectacular show, perhaps an irreconcilable confrontation, or for Maureen to really force Noella to drop out.

But in the end, this was it?

Disappointed, the onlookers dispersed amidst a chorus of murmurs.

However, Noella stood still, big drops of tears streaking down her face, her cheeks still burning.

Maureen’s aning was clear, she didn’t an to forgive but also couldn’t be bothered to push Noella to drop out over past grievances.

In Maureen’s view, life wasn’t about petty rivalries between teenage girls, she had bigger fish to fry.

Realizing this, Noella felt even more embarrassed.

While she won’t have to drop out, the lesson learned from this event would stick with her for a long ti.

From the window, Liam watched silently.

He finally sat down when he noticed that no conflict arose.
